Story
This is Maverick. He is neutered & has all his first year vaccinations. He is full of energy and is always excited to see his pack members, even if you just left the room & came back 45 seconds later. His typical greeting consists of tail wags hard enough to bruise a shin(just kidding, sort of) and bring you his favorite toy in hopes of a quick(long) game of tug-o-war. Maverick loves snacks and responds well to rewards for doing tricks. He even likes some fruit & veggies. Carrots & cucumbers are high on the list. He hasnt received a lot of training but would do well with someone who takes the time to work with him. Because Covid hit a few months before his final Parvo shots, he didnt get any social time with other dogs at the dog park, but he likes his dog-neighbors & runs hard with them. We have decided to relocate out of state, but will be in an apartment for a year or so, so we feel it's best to find him a new forever home instead of squeezing him into a cramped apartment.

Story
I got her in May 2024 from my son as a temporary situation due to housing, but it has turned into longterm. She is chipped and I got her shots. She is around 2. I have mobility issues so it is hard to take her for a walk. I just cannot take care of her. She loves being outside, so having a fenced in backyard is a must. She is friendly with everyone. She jumps up on everyone, so she needs some training that is why I do not know how she would do with small children. She loves playing with her ball and cuddling up to you at night. I fell in love with her, so I need her to go to someone who has time for her and can add her to their family. I have not had her around other dogs and cats so I do not know how she would do. She has a tendency to play rough and I cannot handle that as it is hard on my body. I had an adoption fall through this weekend due to her jumping on them please remember she is still young and needs some training, once she gets to know you she settles down.

Story
Rocky is a 6-year-old, 69-pound energetic party boy who loves car rides! Fun fact: Rocky can wag his tail so fast, it looks like he`s doing a happy dance! Ready for a fun-loving companion who’s always up for an adventure? Rocky is your guy! I’d like to be the only dog in my new home.I don’t have a history with cats. I may do well with them with a slow introduction.I lived with older children in my previous home and may do well with your children. If you are interested in this specific animal, please come to the shelter for walk-in adoptions Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30am to 5:30pm. We recommend coming in as early as possible, as adoptions are first-come, first-served.

Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 5/17/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Yuna to our trip for the right home 💕 Meet Yuna ❤️ She is a 7 month old purebred English cream retriever. She currently weighs 47.5 lbs. She still has a few months of growth left, and is estimated to be around 55/60 lbs full grown. Right now, she is at a healthy weight 🙂 She is current on all vaccines, microchipped, has been dewormed through the findings of a fecal test that was sent off to the lab, and had a thourel exam with our vet who had cleared her to find a home all her own. She is not yet spayed, and it's best to wait until she reaches full maturity prior to sterilization so she will be going home on a spay contract. She is doing BEAUTIFUL at house training. She goes outside every 3 hours and doesn't have any accidents inbetween. We simply tell her "outside" and if she needs to potty, she will go outside. If not, she will stand back and wait for us to rejoin her. She is crate trained, and currently sleeps in her crate at night only which she does perfect with. She never whines in her crate, and sleeps throughout the entire night very peacefully. She is working on leash confidence and has made great progress in the time she has been with us. She will walk slowly by your side with encouragement along the way. She will grow more and more each day moving forward with the same patience, love, ans encouragement from her new person 💕 She is AMAZING with all animals. She has the sweetest and kindest soul you will ever meet, and I mean every single word when I say that!!! Her soul is absolutely beautiful and it shines so bright she can't hide it even if she tried (and she doesn't try 😂!) She is a happy girl, and so full of love that spreading it brings her even more joy so it's her life's mission to be who she is especially knowing it'll bring those around her the same love and joy it brings her ❤️ She is NOT a barker at all. She is very serene tempered and naturally quiet. She is NOT high energy, so don't let her age fool you for one second. Yes, she loves to play and will happily interact with you but if that means napping along side you she is fine with that too! She is amazing on road trips around town, and really enjoys being a part of your day in and out of the home when she can ❤️ She would love to enjoy you in longer adventures so if you are looking for a traveling partner that will bring joy everywhere you go then she is definitely YOUR girl!! She is a hugger, and will be very gentle about it and only come to you when you are seated. She will start by placing her paws on your lap one at a time and then will slowly nudge you with her nose, and look you in your eyes to let you know she needs some love ❤️❤️ I can't say enough how incredibly sweet this girl is!!! She is a total gem and one you need in your life because I promise you she will make every second of every day better by just being a part of it! She is WONDERFUL with the groomer, and LOVES her spa days because it means extra attention (and hands) on her 🙃 She isn't hard to please and really loves affection however she can get it ❤️ Her adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/_yuna It covers her vaccines, microchip/registration, treatment of double ear infections which included medication to go home, treatment of allergies which included an allergy injection, her fecal test we sent out to the lab, and the deworming she recieved based on those results, along with the exam with our vet. It also covers the care involved in the time she has been with us, her grooming costs, and her training and we have personally done with her 💕
