Story
This sweet girl is looking for a new home. She is a female lab mix. She is super sweet. Has never met an enemy or stranger and is great with kids of all ages and gets along well with our kitty. We took her in this last year after her last owners passed away however she really needs a home where the owners are able to be with her most of the day as I believe she has some separation anxiety. She is spayed and utd on required shots. She is housebroken and knows basic commands and is great with children of all ages as well as cats, however I have noticed that when we leave her at home, she will have a potty accident on the floor and we think it is out of separation anxiety. I am a single mom of two children and I work 40+ hours a week so unfortunately, I am not home enough to give her the consistency that she needs or to relieve her anxiety. She would do well with a family who is retired or works exclusively from home. She LOVES snuggles and cuddles. This is not an easy decision. ❤️

Story
Meet Riley – The King of Belly Rubs!   Riley is a sweet, silly, ~4-year-old pup who went from surviving on the streets to thriving in a loving foster home. Found as a stray, he quickly proved himself to be the ultimate work-from-home buddy, TV binge partner, and loyal walking companion.   Smart & Eager to Learn: Riley recently started group training classes at Zoom Room St. Pete and he’s doing AMAZING! He’s picking up new skills quickly and showing off what a smart, trainable boy he really is.   Dog-Friendly & Playful: Riley does well with slow introductions and once he feels comfortable, he’s fantastic with dogs of all sizes, cats, and humans alike. He’s not a dog park regular, but he truly enjoys playtime and would love to have a doggie sibling to romp around with at home.   Healthy & Happy: Riley was heartworm positive when rescued but has successfully completed treatment and is now heartworm negative and in great health!   House Trained & Affectionate: He’s fully house trained and has perfect indoor manners. Riley’s favorite things? Cuddles, snuggles, and of course, belly rubs! He’s a big-hearted lovebug who just wants to be close to his people.   If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a gentle soul and a goofy grin, Riley could be your perfect match. He’s ready to bring love, laughter, and a whole lot of snuggles into his forever home   ##1480510##

Story
Meet Rosie: A True Warrior Looking for Her Forever Home!   Rosie is a 4-6 year old sweetheart who has overcome so much and is now ready for a fresh start! Rescued in January 2024 during a spay/neuter clinic in the Bahamas, Rosie was at risk of being poisoned if returned to the area she came from. She was supposed to be returned as a part of the clinic process, but we just couldn't put her at risk so we flew her to Florida and into a foster home. Despite everything she’s been through, Rosie is an incredibly loving and kind soul.   Before being rescued, Rosie was likely used for breeding repeatedly. She's undergone a lot of medical care with us and is so resilient. She tested positive for TVT after her rescue and underwent treatment last spring and was deemed cancer free last summer! She also had a hernia removed from her backside last fall. She tested  heartworm positive and went through her treatment in November and December and is awaiting her retest. We had to do all treatments in a specific order for her safety, but now  Rosie is a healthy, happy girl who is ready to live her best life!   Rosie has been waiting for her forever home since January 2024, and she truly deserves a second chance at a loving, fulfilling life. Could you be the one to give her the forever home she’s been patiently waiting for?   ##2008255##

Story
Meet Angelina, a joyful and incredibly sweet 1-year-old girl with a big heart. Despite facing some neurological challenges due to a brain injury she sustained as a puppy from previous abuse, Angelina's spirit remains unbroken. She needs daily medication to manage her seizures, which are mostly under control but can occur occasionally. Her resilience shines through in her playful nature—she loves to spin in circles, play hard with other pups, and is perfectly content playing solo as well. Though she may be a bit timid at first, once she feels comfortable, her true personality emerges as a rambunctious and happy girl. Angelina is highly food-motivated, enjoys car rides, and adores snuggling in bed with you. Her quirky and sweet nature makes her a unique companion who has so much love to give. Currently thriving in a foster home with dogs, cats, and kids, Angelina is adaptable and gets along well with everyone. She’s looking for a special forever home that can embrace her quirks and support her neurological challenges. With the right family, Angelina is sure to thrive and bring endless joy to her new home. ##1661209##

Story
Adopt Baloo – Your Loyal Companion!   Meet Baloo, a sweet and friendly 1.5-year-old pup who was rescued from a shelter just an hour before he was scheduled for euthanasia. This handsome boy is now looking for a forever home where he can show just how loving and loyal he truly is!   About Baloo:     •    Age: 1.5 years     •    Personality: Baloo is a sweet and friendly dog who loves meeting new people and is a loyal companion. He thrives in public settings and enjoys cuddling up at home, especially when the sun is out – he loves sunbathing!     •    Good with Dogs: Baloo is dog approved and does well in play groups. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would do well in a multi-dog household.     •    Kids: Baloo is fine with older kids, but may be too strong for very young children due to his energy and size.     •    Not Cat Tested: He hasn’t been tested with cats, so a cat-free home is probably best for him.     •    Fully Vetted & House Trained: Baloo is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He’s also house trained and ready to settle in!   What Baloo Needs:     •    A family who can provide him with love, attention, and snuggles.     •    Ideally, a fenced yard would be great for him to run and play, though it’s not a dealbreaker.     •    A patient, active family who will appreciate his loyalty and energy.   If you’re ready to make Baloo your forever best friend, fill out an adoption application to get started!   Apply Here: www.compassionkind.org/adopt   Give Baloo the home he deserves! ##2295051##

Story
Luna is a super sweet 3-4 year old and ~30 pound girl looking for her furever home in the Tampa Bay Area. Luna was adopted by a family for 3 years but suddenly had stopped getting along with the small dogs. Luna is currently in a foster home with a small dog and once they were introduced to each other, there have been zero issues and they even cuddle. Luna has adapted very well and is dog and kid approved. Luna loves to cuddle her humans and sleeps in bed with her foster family.  We are so sad for her to have gone through being abandoned by a family she thought was hers furever, but we know the right family is out there for her!
