Story
Senior Blonde Divorcee looking for her Golden Bachelor who is ready to settle down. Hi I am Ella!  I am a one-man woman and don't like to share. I love to be by your side walking under the stars, taking long drives, and cuddling with my partner. Some call me clingy, as I do not like being alone, and would much prefer being with my partner at all times. I am a homebody and am set in my ways, so I love my routine. If you think you could be my forever partner, let me know. I am a medium sized lady (52 pounds) and am about 9 years old. Ella's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, vaccinations and microchip. Story
Please contact Lea (maxxandmerescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.MAXX & ME PET RESCUE adoptable dogsBogart Boy! The scars that cover his entire emaciated body hint at the life Bogie had before he was saved by us. Bogart was a street dog and we had gotten a call to help a starving, emaciated dog who was spotted for weeks out. We set a trap and noticed something very disturbing on our camera footage. Bogart's penis was fully degloved, had open wounds on it and he was in a critical state as he must be caught or he could face an amputation or death of the exposed organ. Patiently we waited and for two days hoped this emaciated boy would go in and finally he did. We immediately took him to the shelter to register him as a stray in the event he had an owner and to get immediate ER attention. He was dehydrated, went on IVS, antibiotics and other meds while the doctor and staff desperately tried to help fix his penis and save it. Finally after a few days the skilled vet was able to work the skin over and fix his injury that was a result of some unknown trauma. He has scars all over his head, legs and body, one of his ears is shredded and is heartworm positive. Despite all of this he is a sweet, gentle boy and nervous.  Bo needs a loving, calm home as an only dog. He has been torn up so much we want this senior boxer mix boy estimated +/- 9 years to live out his final years ensconced in love and peace. Loud noises startle him and even something as simple as throwing a ball made him run and try to scale a fence as he was startled. He needs a secured, fenced yard and a quiet/low key home. Bogart has a long way to go but he is doing remarkably well for all he has endured. He had a temp foster for a few days and he insisted on laying on the bed by her feet♥&#239&#184&#143 He loves a lot of soft blankets and cozy beds...the more the better! Bogart is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption donation is $300 Maxx & Me is an all-volunteer, all foster home rescue and do not have a shelter. Please allow at least 48 hours for applications to be processed (missing information may slow the process, so please take your time and be thoughtful in your answers). We place dogs based on best home for each dog and not order of applications received. Email us at maxxandmerescue@gmail.com for updates and questions. Thank you for choosing rescue.October 2, 2024, 11:08 am

Story
Arya is a 10 month old Lab mix looking for her forever home. She is very shy at first, but give her a chance and you’ll have a happy Velcro dog.  Arya would be best with a patient and/or an active playmate if there is one in the house.  Arya loves to nap on her person if they let her.  Her favorite toys are her squeaky tennis balls and chew toys. Arya has amazing crate and leash manners! She does well with the mental challenges of learning new things, such as "sit", "down", and "go to place", and loves to focus her energy on learning new tricks and challenges. Arya is very food motivated.  While Arya does well with adults, older kids, and dogs, she has not been cat tested. Looking for love in 2024? Meet the King of Belly Rubs!! Riley is our ~3 year old silly boy from the street. He was found as a stray, but quickly turned into a wonderful work from home co-worker, expert  tv watcher, and walking companion. Riley does best with slow introductions, but once he is comfortable he is great with humans, cats, and dogs! He is great with dogs of all sizes. He isn't necessarily a dog park dog, but he does love to play with other dogs and would love a doggie friend in the home to play with! Riley was originally heartworm positive, but has since gone through treatment and is now heartworm negative and a healthy boy again. Riley is fully house trained and is an all around good boy! He is a big time snuggler who loves affection and belly rubs! He can't wait to meet his forever family! ##1480510##

Story
Meet *Buttercup*! This adorable little girl has a heart full of love and endless amounts of affection to give, but she needs a special home where her unique needs can be met with patience and care. *Buttercup* has idiopathic epilepsy, which means she will need to stay on medication for the rest of her life and maintain a good relationship with a veterinary neurologist. Her condition is well managed with the right care, and she's a happy, lively pup despite it. Due to some learning difficulties, *Buttercup* is still working on understanding boundaries, play bite inhibition, and social cues. Because of this, her perfect home would be one without small children or reactive dogs, as she doesn't always know how to respond to corrections or overstimulation. What *Buttercup* needs most is a home with patience and experienced special needs pet owners who can provide her with the guidance, structure, and gentle training she requires. In return, she will shower you with love, loyalty, laughs and joy every single day! If you're looking for a loyal companion and feel that you can provide the supportive environment *Buttercup* needs, she would love to meet you. Let's help this sweet pup find her perfect forever home! Apply to adopt at www.animalluvrs.org All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need. Any questions, concerns and suggestions, please feel free to contact us at ALDR@animalluvrs.org.

This adorable little peanut is Judy!  Judy is a 4-month-old Labrador mix.  Judy loves being with people and is very curious about the world around her.  She is an adventurous pup with a big heart.  When she is not playing or exploring the small paddock, she enjoys going for a nice walk.  She does very well on leash for a puppy her age.  Judy will make a great addition to any family.  Because she is a puppy, Judy’s new family will need to be able to provide her with time, patience, understanding and love while she learns her commands and manners. Interested in a play date with Judy?  Please fill out an application to set up a meet and greet.

Story
This super sweet boy is Darby! Darby is approximately 6 years old and weighs 50 pounds. Darby was found as a stray and ended up in the shelter for over a year! He had an injury to his face and jaw, which you can see in his pictures. We don't know what happened to Darby when he was on the streets, but this poor boy had such severe fear of leaving his kennel and going outside that the staff and volunteers would have to carry or pull him outside. The volunteers just loved him and would sit with him in his kennel where he would wiggle with delight to be with people and have the company. Although he had that fear he was just sweet as can be, which is why they reached out to us to bring him into our rescue. Darby has come a long way since being with us. He loves to chase lizards now and is the sweetest, wiggly and loving boy! He's still not a huge fan of spending much time outside, as he would much prefer to be in the house with his humans. So, if you are looking for a loving, cuddly boy to keep you company and spend your time with, Darby is your boy! Please be sure to include your phone number when you inquire so we can call you and tell you more about this sweetheart!

Story
Please visit our website for more information on the foster/adoption process and to complete a foster/adoption application. https://www.pawliferescuegroup.org/adoption-resources Seeking an experience adopter for a sweet girl with seizures. Ellie, a charming and gentle pup, has unfortunately found herself in a challenging situation. This sweet girl was saved from being euthanized after her owner could not take her with her when moving and could no longer afford her care. Ellie's medical history includes epilepsy, a condition that we believe may have been triggered by a traumatic experience during her spaying procedure at the age of two months. Despite this setback, Ellie has shown remarkable resilience and continues to thrive. Her amiable nature extends to both canine and feline companions, making her an ideal addition to a multi-pet household. Ellie is also well-trained, displaying excellent leash manners, although she occasionally exhibits a playful stubbornness that adds to her charm. One of Ellie's favorite pastimes is basking in the warmth of the sun, a testament to her easy-going and mellow demeanor. Her gentle disposition is further evidenced by her frosty face, which reflects her kind and compassionate nature. We are actively seeking a forever home for Ellie, preferably with individuals or families who are frequently present and can provide her with the love and attention she deserves. Additionally, we hope to find a home that is familiar with managing seizures or is willing to learn about this condition and provide the necessary care. Ellie currently relies on medication to manage her seizures, and we will ensure a continuous supply of these medications when she finds her forever home. It is important to note that Ellie may experience some initial anxiety and pacing in a new environment, but this behavior typically subsides within a day or so as she adjusts to her surroundings. We remain committed to providing Ellie with the utmost care and support during her time with us, and we look forward to finding her a loving and suitable forever home where she can thrive and enjoy the companionship she deserves. Story
Meet Shadow, a loyal and affectionate companion who lives up to his name by staying by your side wherever you go. Shadow thrives on being with his family, happily following you from room to room and keeping you company throughout the day. His favorite activities include cuddling, snuggling, and showing his playful side with zoomies in the yard, especially when he has a dog friend to chase. Shadow is an excellent watchdog, alerting you to any visitors or animals that might be around. He is naturally submissive and playful with other dogs. While he may be best suited for a home with older children or adults, he’s eager to build a bond with his new family. Shadow does have some anxiety, particularly when on a leash, which can make walks a bit challenging. However, he feels much more comfortable in a secure, fenced yard where he can explore freely. With the right environment and a family that understands his quirks, Shadow will be the perfect, loving companion!  Shadow’s ideal owners would be: Patient and understanding: Someone who can gently help him manage his anxiety, especially around new stimuli. Have a fenced yard: He thrives in a large, secure yard where he can run freely without the need for a leash. Adults or families with older children: Best suited for homes without small children, but he could do well with older, respectful kids. Homebodies or work-from-home: He loves spending time with his family and will be happiest in a home where someone is around often. Experienced dog owners: Ideally, someone who understands how to work with a dog that has leash anxiety and can provide a calm, structured environment. ##2177020##
