Story
Hello! I’m Sasha, a 5-year-old, 65-pound Lab mix. I’m an affectionate and active girl who is looking for a family that will open up their home and hearts to me. I'm a little shy when I first meet you, but once I get to know you, I'm your best buddy. I’m very social and love playing, swimming and cuddling. I would love to be the only pup in the family so that I get all of your attention. I have been a part of my current family for almost five years and I know it’s with great sadness that they have to leave me behind as they are moving overseas. I am now waiting to start a new chapter of my life in a home full of love. If you’re interested in meeting me, please go to our website, safepawsrescue.com, and complete the Adoption Application. Our application process includes a home visit and veterinarian and/or personal check. Safe Paws Rescue is a small rescue in St. Petersburg, FL so we accept inquiries from residents in Pinellas County only, please.

Bailey is a 10yr old, pure bred chocolate lab. She is extremely people oreinted with amazing eye contact and will never leave your side and/or sight. She absoloutely loves playing fetch and is a quick way to become her new best friend. She is very loving and enjoys being petted to the point, that if your hand is dangling, she will come up and pet herself. She is house trained and very easy to take care of. Unfortunately, I am relocating and have to find her a new home quickly. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Hi-My name is Cherry and I'm a Diamond Dog. Please ask about the special perks that come with my adoption.I LOVE: treats more than toys but I still like to play.I KNOW: I'm well behaved and easy to handle. I also know commands like Sit and Down.I HAVE BEEN HERE SINCE: January 2024.I DON'T LOVE: when people think I'm old. I still have plenty of energy to keep up with my canine friends.I AM SPECIAL BECAUSE: I have a frosty face but a warm heart.SOMETHING ABOUT MY PAST: I have lived with other dogs but not cats. I have been known to chase squirrels so no little critters please. If you have a resident pup, I would love to meet him/her to see if we can be best buddies.

Story
Please visit our website for more information on the foster/adoption process and to complete a foster/adoption application. https://www.pawliferescuegroup.org/adoption-resources Seeking an experience adopter for a sweet girl with seizures. Ellie, a charming and gentle pup, has unfortunately found herself in a challenging situation. This sweet girl was saved from being euthanized after her owner could not take her with her when moving and could no longer afford her care. Ellie's medical history includes epilepsy, a condition that we believe may have been triggered by a traumatic experience during her spaying procedure at the age of two months. Despite this setback, Ellie has shown remarkable resilience and continues to thrive. Her amiable nature extends to both canine and feline companions, making her an ideal addition to a multi-pet household. Ellie is also well-trained, displaying excellent leash manners, although she occasionally exhibits a playful stubbornness that adds to her charm. One of Ellie's favorite pastimes is basking in the warmth of the sun, a testament to her easy-going and mellow demeanor. Her gentle disposition is further evidenced by her frosty face, which reflects her kind and compassionate nature. We are actively seeking a forever home for Ellie, preferably with individuals or families who are frequently present and can provide her with the love and attention she deserves. Additionally, we hope to find a home that is familiar with managing seizures or is willing to learn about this condition and provide the necessary care. Ellie currently relies on medication to manage her seizures, and we will ensure a continuous supply of these medications when she finds her forever home. It is important to note that Ellie may experience some initial anxiety and pacing in a new environment, but this behavior typically subsides within a day or so as she adjusts to her surroundings. We remain committed to providing Ellie with the utmost care and support during her time with us, and we look forward to finding her a loving and suitable forever home where she can thrive and enjoy the companionship she deserves. Ares is a 7 1/2 months old (Jan 2024) lab mixed breed dog who is both crate trained and house trained. While he may initially be reserved, once he feels comfortable, his true personality shines through. Ares gets along well with other dogs and kids, and although he may be curious about cats, it's likely he can coexist with them given the right introduction. Ares is described as very sweet and loving, and he enjoys expressing his affection through giving kisses. He thrives on social interactions and would be happiest with a canine companion to play and interact with. Overall, Ares is a wonderful and loving dog who would make a great addition to a loving and active family. He is ready to find his forever home where he can receive the love and attention he deserves.
