LETS PLAY! Pippa is a loving and playful six month old Labrador Retriever mix puppy who loves to make new friends, human or furry! This baby is a very affectionate and energetic pup who is always eager to play, and explore, but also enjoys some serious lap time. Pippa is the perfect companion for someone looking for an active dog to go on adventures with (she rides beautifully in the car). She would make a great running partner or addition to a family with active children. Pippa is a baby so she's just looking for someone to grow with and guide her as she grows into the best doggo she can be. This cutie is leash trained, house trained, crate trained, and knows the sit command. Currently she lives with four other large and small dogs, and young children in her foster home. If you're looking for a lively, friendly, and sweet companion, Pippa may be a fit for you. Give us a call if you are interested in meeting her. Included in Pippa's adoption fee: -She is already neutered, microchipped and has shots. -She comes with a new buckle collar, training collar, and 6 foot training leash. -You get two group training classes with our trainer or two private classes with us. -We provide an introduction session to help set her up in her new home, giving advice and guidance on crate training, leash walking, and how to establish a routine and structure in your household for your new baby. -Lifetime support from us via phone, and in person. Give us a call if you are interested in meeting Pippa. Ph: 502-509-9886 info@arielbullyrescue.com

Story
Sparky is almost 5, he’s a beagle/lab mix as far as I can tell. I adopted him when he was 9 weeks old and I’ve had him ever since. He’s a sweet, loving, happy dog for the majority of the time. But when it comes to strangers, or people other than me (even family and friends) he is unpredictable and can be fearfully aggressive. He walks on and off leash, he knows all the basic commands, house trained and obedient. I just will be going to college this fall and I don’t know what I can do for him. He unfortunately can’t be left with my parents. He needs someone who understands canine body language and knows what to do for his specific needs. My mother who is home cannot be that person. He is a wonderful guard dog, very protective and loving towards his person. But his aggression when he is uncomfortable or approached by even me on occasion, he will growl, even go to bite out of fear and uncertainty. With the right training and care he is the best dog, but I cannot give him that currently.

Story
We Adopted Raenah (Think Raina) from Louisville Metro when we had another dog who needed a companion. She came from a rough stretch and some issues from that time still linger. We have since had to re-home our other dog and now she is showing signs of being depressed and lonely and we, as a family of 6 are having issues tending to her due to our busy schedule. She is very smart and listens very well and is great with kids, loves other dogs, and is okay with cats. She may not do well with smaller animals (such as rabbits or guinea pigs) as she does have a prey drive when it comes to some smaller animals. She does need things to chew on, like bones or ropes, but otherwise is well behaved and an absolute joy to have around. We just do not have the time to spend with her and are trying to put her emotional needs first when looking for a new home for her.

Story
I'm Penny and am very pleased to meet you! I'm a beautiful pure Golden Retriever, 4+ years old. I came to GRRAND in early 2022, so I have been in the kennel for a while. I can be a bit grouchy if you try and take one of my prize possessions away from me, usually a stick, but my close kennel buddies know to trick me with a treat for my stick! It works out beautifully, and don't tell them, but honestly, I get the better deal . Oh, and they said if anyone wanted to take me home they would teach them the same trick! I do love it at the kennel! I get love, two meals a day, and have a warm bed of my own in my 6' x 6' cozy kennel run. I even have a glass door to look out of; Tyg and Adam are across the way so we have nice conversations when the kennel team isn't around. I get to go outside with my favorite people at least three times a day. We play in the yard, go for walks, and sometimes go on field trips to the park and Starbucks. I love going to the pool in the summer, but my favorite is office time where I get to be petted and do stimulation games (and earn treats)! But my kennel guy seems sad these days; He says I'm getting 'institutionalized' at the kennel. I don't mind being in my cozy kennel run 20 hours a day, but he says I deserve better, like a home with people who love me and who will spend time with me. We have a radio at the kennel (Christmas carols playing now), but he says I should be able to watch Hallmark movies and Animal Planet on TV, whatever that is!! I think I'm his favorite, but don't tell Tyg! So just to make him happy I guess I'm ready to go home with a great person or couple this Christmas. I have been at the kennel for almost 1000 days so going to a loving home would be an amazing Christmas gift. I realize I'm not 'Buddy The Elf' but the wonderful team at GRRAND love me (and I them) and they are committed to finding the right home for me and giving the family the right tools and education to make my adoption a success. Please consider fostering or adopting me in the very near future. Merry Christmas, Love Penny XOXO Penny is an absolutely beautiful 3 year old Golden Retriever who needs a very specific home! Please read all about her needs before applying! Penny is happy, tail wagging, and if she knows you, extremely friendly! After coming to GRRAND, we learned she had resource guarding tendencies, and she spent time with our excellent trainers and behaviourists to evaluate her needs. What we have learned is that Penny does resource guard certain items, and she can be sensitive around her head. Our kennel manager has spent a lot of time with Penny, and they have a close bond. He reports that Penny takes awhile to be comfortable and trust a person, but when she does trust you, she's an awesome dog who is very loyal and loving. We have a small team who handle her daily, and she loves to play and run outside, go for walks, do mental stimulation games (she is very smart!), and hang out in the office with her person. Penny needs the right home with a dog-savvy family who understands how dogs communicate. She will give a warning (ex. growl) if something is going on she doesn't like. This is Penny’s way of telling us she wants us to stop doing something, which is great! Her home must have no children or other animals, either in the home or visiting (e.g., grandchildren who come over). We would do a slow introduction period with several visits to the kennel and to her potential home to help build a bond, along with resource guarding training so we are sure the adopter/foster knows Penny's triggers and how to deal with them. And, as a young Golden, Penny will need plenty of high-quality exercise. If you are looking for a dog to take to family gatherings or breweries, Penny is not for you. But if you want to truly rescue a dog that just needs patience, understanding, love and training, Penny will reward you with an abundance of love and loyalty If you think you could be a good fit for Penny, please submit an application so you can connect and learn more! grrand.org/adopt grrand.org/foster-a-golden-retriever-with-grrand GRRAND dogs are looking for homes in Greater Louisville, Greater Lexington, and Greater Cincinnati and Dayton. Story
Chloe (female) and her BFF Lucky (male) are a bonded pair of Golden/Lab mixes that are about 8 months old and around 30ish lbs. They are looking for a home together where they can get the exercise and direction they need to grow up to be good pups. They are still puppies and their family will need to have the time and patience to work with 2 pups. Chloe is very loving and very affectionate and she bonds with people easily, and Lucky loves to cuddle and sleep by your side. They are said to have lived with cats but GRRAND has not cat tested them. We are still learning aout these 2, so please check back for more info, but if you would like to meet them, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2300041##

Story
Trixie is a 2.5 year old, 60ish lb, Lab/Golden mix, looking for an active family that can keep up with Trixie! She is a sweet girl who is house-trained, crate-trained (but not a fan) and walks well on leash. We are told "She is great with kids, but smaller ones may get knocked over by accident as she doesn't know her size and strength, so be mindful if/when they are around. We have not had her around other dogs so we are unsure of how she is with them. She knows how to open the outdoor gate, so a secure latch on handle is necessary!! Trixie will chase anything, so may want to keep her away from chickens! She is smart but can be mischievous if left on her own for very long. She has more energy than we can manage, so her new family will need to be willing to give her plenty of exercise and direction as a tired dog is a good dog!" As we learn more, we will update, but if you would like to meet Trixie, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2137846##
