Story
Meet the one and only, Georgia! This gorgeous golden colored Lab came to the Kentucky Humane Society because her owner could no longer care for her, and now she can't wait to find her new family. Georgia is a fetch-aholic and can't get enough of the game! At four years old she has lots of energy but is past that puppy stage. Her former family says she is potty trained and she keeps a clean kennel at the shelter. Georgia has met children in her previous home and did well although she may get really excited and zoom around! Georgia has told us that she wants to be spoiled and be your only pet. Could Georgia be the one for you? Come meet her at the Main Campus and be prepared to fall head over heels! Georgia is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Story
Layla is a ten-year-old lady who knows what she likes (and what she doesn't), and is looking for a patient family who's willing to give her the time she needs to settle in. Will you give this sweet senior the loving home she deserves? We'll be honest with you - Layla's a hound mix and wears her hound-like personality on her sleeve. She's going to bark, that's just how she communicates! But because of her vocal tendencies, apartment living isn't in the cards for Miss Layla. On that same note, Layla's hound genes mean she needs extra mental stimulation. Sniffing games and snuffle mats are her favorite extracurriculars! Despite her age, Layla's not a couch potato kind of dog. She's still pretty spry and will happily tag along for long walks and outdoor activities. Now let's talk roommates: Layla is a bit picky and prefers laid-back, male canine companions. She must meet all potential siblings - canine or human - prior to adoption to ensure everyone gets along. Layla tends to take the "aloof" approach with kiddos but doesn't mind sharing space with them.Above all, Layla wants and deserves to spend her golden years outside of the shelter. She's got so much love to give and promises that your patience and understanding will be rewarded with her unconditional love.
