Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cole is a sweet boy who was surrendered to a shelter because the other dogs in his home were picking on him. But Cole has foster fur siblings smaller than him and would do well with similar dogs in his furever home. As always, meet and greets are required with any resident or frequently visiting dogs!&#226&#128&#168&#226&#128&#168He is still somewhat timid with new people and needs slow intros with people who come to visit. Once he knows you, he's perfect! No small children for this guy - Cole forgets he’s a big boy and may knock small children over with his big dog energy! He also forgets about personal space and loves to snuggle up to you, he may even try to sit on your lap! He loves toys (stuffies don’t stand a chance) and going for walks. He can pull in his initial excitement but settles quickly and is responsive to correction. His ears perk up when he hears tongue clicks and he comes trotting right to your side! He’s very good with his harness and leash, and has plenty of energy for medium distance walks. Cole is a very good boy and, while crate trained, is ok to be left uncrated. He does need a home with a fully fenced yard (physical fence, not invisible), as he loves exploring. He’s also very smart and eager to please, making him easy to train.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. &#226&#150&#186 We do not adopt to Canada  due to border restrictions and breed-specific legislation &#226&#150&#186 We adopt & foster locally only ; within an approximately 55 mile radius of Lockport, NY 14094 USA Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, deworming & flea treatment. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi guys! It's me, Milo! It’s been awhile since my last update but man, it’s been a busy year! I’m still a little shy, so I like slow intros but I’m getting better all the time! People can be scary so I like to watch for a little bit before I come over. All the big walks and car rides are helping me with something called socialization. I dunno what that means but I’m working hard on it according to my foster mom. I did a whole bunch of sleepovers at this place called boarding and I learned some new tricks! I walk really nice on a leash, I come almost all the time when called (unless I’m on the tail of a pesky squirrel - then I’m in the zone sniffing them out!). I’m working on place and wait. Foster mom also is trying to teach me “personal space” - she says I’m a chair and bed hog so I need to wait in my spot until it’s ok. It’s not my fault I love all the snuggles!!! And all the kisses!!! But I’ll try anything for some treats! I just learned how to give my paw. I think this is what humans call a handshake? Silly when I don’t have hands! Oh - if you haven’t heard, I love stuffies!!! This is my lab side coming out. Foster mom says I hold the record for the fastest de-stuffing she’s ever seen. I’m so proud of it! But that means I can’t be left unsupervised when she’s gone but I’m very good about going in my crate. I’m looking for a quiet home to give me all the belly rubs, snuggles, treats and stuffies I can handle. I’d love a fenced yard so I can chase the squirrels but I like a good long walk too if I can’t have that. And no kitties please. Not a fan of little animals. Are you intrigued? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Remy is a 4 year old Lab/pit mix. He was found on the streets of Atlanta at around 6 months old and eventually transported to NY where he became a Diamonds dog. Shortly after he found a loving home where he has spent the last three years. Unfortunately, due to the addition of a new tiny human Remy is now looking for a new fur-ever home. Remy LOVES snuggles! On your lap, under blankets, or in a pile of pillows. He loves to sunbathe so if you have a sunny spot in your home that is where you will most likely find him. Remy is extremely food motivated and loves to play however, his snoot-eye coordination is lacking. He will show you just how fast he can run once he gets his zoomies going. *We do not adopt to Canada due to border restrictions and breed specific legislation* Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I am Mary. I am a lab/shepherd mix. My foster mom says I am very well behaved. And she is always telling me that I am pretty and such a good girl. Maybe it’s because I wear my listening ears all of the time. I know my sit, stay, “no” and I don’t like to disappoint so I really make sure I listen all of the time. I am very good at going outside. I would love a fenced yard so I can spend time out there. I will go in a crate if you have to work. When it is time to walk, I sit patiently to have my harness put on. If there is something I need to work on, I would say it is my walking skills. I get a little too excited when I see the wild life outside.  I promise, I will work on that. When we are home, I like to play a little with the dogs in the house. They have fun toys that they let me play with but I always give it back when I am done. Sometimes I think I would prefer to have all of the attention to myself. But, if you have a dog, I would be more than happy to meet them.  At night, I curl up on my blanket, I am happy sleeping in the same room or close by. I hope you want to make me part of your forever family. If you are interested in meeting me, please apply @buffalocares.org Adoption Fee: $  425.00  RR048 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All dogs come fully up to date on shots, microchipped, heart worm tested, de-wormed, on flea and heart worm preventative, and spayed/neutered.  If interested in learning more or adopting please fill out an application on our website at www.buffalocares.org. What my foster mom says we do know for sure is that I am a handsome guy with the best ears (sometimes their up and sometimes their down), the cutest little eyebrows and eyes that see right into my soul. I found my smile since leaving the shelter and moving in with my foster mom!! I am a very calm and quiet boy with a gentle demeanor, who just enjoys a good roll in the grass or sharing a cuddle with my best friend, could that be you?  I may be shy when I first meet people but, before you know it, I am giving out free kisses to anyone who wants them, and I have the best puppy breath. I love to play with my foster siblings and toys are fun too. I also enjoy chewing on a bone, it makes my baby teeth feel so good. We are working on my potty training, and I am a very smart boy so I should have that conquered it in no time. So, what do you think, would you like to be my forever family and get some puppy kisses??
