Story
My name is Slayton! I am one years old and I weigh approximately 40 - 45 lbs. I am fostered in Danbury, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available. I was turned into a County animal shelter, but I’m not sure why because I am such a loving, friendly boy. I get along great with other dogs of all sizes and ages. In fact, one of my favorite playmates is the Great Pyrenees in our foster home. I am a fun loving boy with a very happy personality. I love people and I really enjoy being with them. I love to be petted and played with. l walk on a leash and I ride well in the car. I don't bark a lot. I have a medium energy level. I'm good with kids. I don't know if I'm good with cats because the rescue doesn't have any. I am neutered, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on my vaccines. I'm a wonderful companion with lots of love to give! I'm ready and waiting to go to my new forever home! Belly rubs are a must! A copy of my veterinarian records will accompany me to my new home. Once an application is approved, the foster’s phone number will be provided before an adoption decision is made. Email is the best method of contact. Applications can be found on our rescue website carolinacaninerescuenc.com

Story
Little Dobby came to us a weak little frail puppy with a soft tissue injury to his left shoulder - he came to us on 5/13/24 and this little guy has blossomed and is doing amazing - amazing what proper vet care and lots of tlc can do - and Dobby is proof of that. He is ready to find a family to call his own and he is going to bring so much joy to some lucky family. We are not sure of Dobby's breed - possibly a lab mix of some sort or as we like to say a "lovable mutt" and loveable he is. He is estimated to be 5 months old and currently weighs 25 pounds, so not going to be a huge dog - just the right size as we do not think he will be over 50 pounds (but again that is just an estimate). Dobby is smart smart boy , doing well with his crate training and housebreaking but he is just a puppy so patience and consistency is the key with any puppy - he does great with other dogs and would love to have a playmate or some kids to play with. He loves loves loves his toys and will keep himself occupied playing with them for a while. His personality is amazing - he is a fun loving little guy that is going to keep a smile on your face If you are interested in adopting Dobby, the first step is going to our website www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org and filling out our adoption application - we do NOT set up meet and greets until the adoption application is filled out and reviewed. Dobby's adoption fee is $250.00 - he has had all age appropriate vaccines and the rescue will pay for his remaining puppy vaccines as well as his neuter, he has had a full bloodwork panel done, dewormed, microchipped and is current on his monthly heartworm prevention and flea/tick medication. And as a reminder we do not have a facility - all of our dogs are in private foster homes throughout Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina . So get to the website and fill out that adoption application - you won't be sorry because this little guy is amazing

Story
Hello there, future best friend! I'm Spud, a lovable male Boxador (that's a Labrador Retriever and Boxer mix) with a goofy, sweet personality. I'm about 2 years old and weigh a solid 62 lbs. Let me tell you a bit about myself and why I might be the perfect addition to your home! I absolutely love being around people and enjoy every moment we spend together. I'm a bit of a couch potato with low to moderate energy, so if you're looking for a laid-back buddy to relax with, I'm your guy. Whether it's lounging on the couch or hanging out in the yard, I'm happiest just being near you. I'm treat motivated, which makes training a breeze, and my mild-mannered nature means I'm easy to get along with. I'm here to bring joy, laughter, and lots of love into your life. And here's some fantastic news: adult dog adoptions are free for the entire month of May! That means you can take me home without any adoption fees. Before we meet, make sure to submit your adoption application online. This helps my friends at the shelter make sure everything goes smoothly when we finally get to meet. One more thing: all of our animals, including me, come home spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and microchipped. So, you can be confident that I'm ready to join your family happy and healthy. Let's be BFFs! Filling out an application is super duper easy, and it puts you at no obligation to adopt if we aren't the perfect match.
