Story
My name is Slayton! I am one years old and I weigh approximately 40 - 45 lbs. I am fostered in Danbury, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available. I was turned into a County animal shelter, but I’m not sure why because I am such a loving, friendly boy. I get along great with other dogs of all sizes and ages. In fact, one of my favorite playmates is the Great Pyrenees in our foster home. I am a fun loving boy with a very happy personality. I love people and I really enjoy being with them. I love to be petted and played with. l walk on a leash and I ride well in the car. I don't bark a lot. I have a medium energy level. I'm good with kids. I don't know if I'm good with cats because the rescue doesn't have any. I am neutered, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on my vaccines. I'm a wonderful companion with lots of love to give! I'm ready and waiting to go to my new forever home! Belly rubs are a must! A copy of my veterinarian records will accompany me to my new home. Once an application is approved, the foster’s phone number will be provided before an adoption decision is made. Email is the best method of contact. Applications can be found on our rescue website carolinacaninerescuenc.com

Story
We've been loving Roxy for several months now and would love to keep her with us, but our other dog is not warming up to her and our dog's personality is changing from the experience. We are devastated, but we don't want to risk anything happening and it's not fair to either of them. We want to find her the best new home and a new family to love her just as much as we do. We took Roxy in from a bad situation. We got her up to date on her vaccines and took care of her medical needs. She's a lab mix, around 2 yrs old, and spayed. She has acclimated well, is potty trained, and kennel trained. She does not know a lot of commands and is easily distracted, but she could be easily trained. She is very energetic, but is also the best cuddler. She seems to do well with other dogs, and has done well around the few kids she's been with. She loves having lots of space to run like she does in our fenced in yard, but give her a bone and she's occupied for hours. Required vet reference and home check

Ebony is a 3 yr old affectionate, well trained and playful dog. She walks well on leash and loves to play both fetch and tug. She is food motivated and enjoys training. Our multidog household is a bit too much for her. If you have room in your home and heart for one special dog, she would be great for you.

Beacon loves to cuddle up to your company and keep you warm with his charming personality while you work or relax.  Beacon is a food connoisseur, so, if you’ve got bones, treats or a tasty snack you want to share, then you’ve unlocked the key to his big heart.Speaking of Beacon’s appetite, his appetite for outdoor activities is unmatched!  Still, Beacon can often be found lounging around the porch or sunbathing to pass the time. When Beacon isn’t reapplying sun tan lotion, he enjoys roaming around the yard and living his best life in the great outdoors.  While Beacon enjoys his freedom, he is well-behaved on leash and enjoys going on walks and hikes to meet new friends and stop for sniffs. Are you trying to become popular in your community?  Beacon wants to help! Beacon is a gregarious, natural explorer and first rate BFF who will happily accompany you to your favorite brewery, outdoor restaurant or national park as long as you share your snack and let passing strangers fawn all over him!Personality and Behavior:Energy Level: High to medium highGood with Children: YesGood with Other Dogs: Yes, Beacon has always lived with other dogs and enjoys their company.Good with Cats: No. Beacon would not do well in homes that have cats or plan to have cats.Crate Trained: YesObedience Training: Leash trained; basic commands - sit and stay; no history of destructive behavior.Favorite Activities: Lounging on the porch, laying out in the yard, going on walks, hanging out with you.Special Needs: NoneKnown Health Issues: In recent years, Beacon has developed minor joint issues with his hinds legs and does require the occasional monitoring in order to not over exert himself when playing and having fun. That being said, Beacon is still frequently found running up the stairs for dinner or chasing the ambitious squirrel back to its tree. Why am I rehoming Beacon? My lifestyle and work-travel responsibilities have changed recently and after long deliberation, I have concluded I am no longer in a position to provide Beaconwith the appropriate time and attention that he deserves, which is why I hope rehoming this awesome pup will connect Beacon with a family who is looking for an active, kind-hearted,  affectionate dog to dote on!Care Requirements:Diet: Beacon is on IAM’s Adult, Large Breed for the past 5 years without any issues.Exercise Needs: Beacon is happy to go on walks a couple times a week and also enjoys to free-range and explore enclosed yards with you once or more a day.Grooming: Beacon is short haired, and you may not need to brush him often.Current Medications: Not on any medicationsFor for more information or to meet Beacon contact Josh Steed today at 404-576-3838! Story
Meet Flora! While she is still a bit timid to meeting strangers, once she knows you are part of her pack...this girl LOVES to cuddle up near you and chill. This polite/calm girl gives lots of little kisses as your 'shadow' throughout the day and she would make such a lovely addition to your home! She is house & crate trained and knows basic commands. She is great on the leash by herself OR with another pup as well. Flora has lived with both kids & other dogs. She initiates play with both humans & our dog at home! Hazel likes hanging outside on the porch with and also loves cuddling up next to you while you work/watch a show on the couch. She truly is an excellent companion because of her loving/playful vibe she gives off at times, yet very serious/curious at other times as well! Her personality really shows when she makes these cute little grumbles/noises throughout the day as her version of "talking I think - such a cutie!
