Story
Meet Dutch, the ultimate good-boy blend of sunshine, freckles, and pure-hearted charm. This 9-month-old yellow and white Lab Mix looks like he was handcrafted from summertime and marshmallows — and his personality is just as warm. At 48 pounds, Dutch is the perfect “Goldilocks” size: big enough for adventurous hikes, small enough to fit in your lap (which he absolutely will try). He’s a gentle old soul wrapped in a goofy puppy body, and he melts for compliments, belly rubs, and anyone who looks his way. Dutch’s Best Traits: Social Butterfly: Loves dogs, respects cats, and thinks kids are tiny humans sent just for him. A Breeze to Bring Home: He’s already vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped—ready to roll straight into family life. Lover, Not a Fighter: His signature move is leaning gently into you like he’s trying to hug… because he is. Dutch is the kind of pup who will match your energy—zoomies in the morning, couch potato by evening, and loyal shadow in between. He has that rare blend of sweetness and soft curiosity that makes everyone feel like they’ve known him forever. If you’re looking for a companion who brings joy simply by existing, Dutch is your once-in-a-lifetime dog. Come meet this handsome marshmallow boy and let him charm the socks right off you. Fill out a no-obligation adoption application at www.AlmostHomeDogRescueNC.com. One of our friendly adoption coaches will reach out to tell you more about this handsome guy. Attention: This is a courtesy posting only! This pet is NOT available through Mountain Pet Rescue.  Please do NOT contact MPR for information about the pet or apply to adopt this pet on the MPR website.  Call or text 864-437-6186 for more information or to adopt the pet.Piper is a sweet, playful and affectionate girl who’s ready to bring endless love and joy to her forever family. She’s loyal, gentle and full of energy — the perfect companion for an active family who enjoys walks, runs (she loves to tag along mile after mile) or playtime in the yard.Piper absolutely loves her people and would do wonderfully in a home with kids or another friendly dog to play with. She’s great with other dogs, though she can be a little shy at first when meeting new friends. Don’t worry — she warms up quickly and has never shown a bit of aggression. She’s just a sweet, submissive soul who wants to be loved. She’s 100% house-trained, knows her basic commands (“sit,” “stay”, “down”) and currently uses a dog door. She’s just as happy snoozing at the foot of your bed as she is curling up right beside you for cuddles. Her current family loves her deeply but must find her a new home due to a move and a situation with another dog. Piper has no behavioral issues — she’s just an amazing, well-mannered, affectionate dog who deserves a happy new beginning.  She does, however, get nervous around fireworks and loud noises and can bark when excited. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving and playful family member, Piper is ready to fill your home with joy, laughter and unconditional love.Call or text  864-437-6186 today to learn more about lovable Piper! All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Story
Meet Remi🤎🐾🩷 Remi is a stunning chocolate Lab with a sparkle in her eye and springs in her paws. She’s been waiting patiently at the shelter for five months, perfecting her zoomies and dreaming of a backyard to call her own. This girl is all about playtime, adventure, and soaking up every ounce of attention you’re willing to give. She’s got a big personality and knows what she likes—especially when it comes to canine companions. Remi can be dog selective, so a meet-and-greet is a must to make sure everyone vibes. But when she clicks with someone, it’s pure magic. Remi’s ideal home? One with active humans who love to move, laugh, and maybe toss a tennis ball or two hundred. She’s ready to trade shelter life for snuggles, squeaky toys, and a spot on your couch (or your hiking trail). Come meet Remi—she’s not just looking for a home, she’s looking for her person. Could that be you? *63 lbs*

Story
Jericho is a year and a half old red Labrador retriever that we bought in August 2024 from the Greenville Humane Society. He is an energetic, fun loving and playful boy. We currently live in a very small apartment and have a baby on the way. My husband is a fireman that works for 48 hours straight and I currently work part time. We are looking for someone who is able to give Jericho more time and space than we can offer him. He deserves so much more than we can give and we would love a family that is willing to love and care for him as much as we do. He will come with a variety of things including an extra large crate. Adoption fee is negotiable.
