Story
Little Dobby came to us a weak little frail puppy with a soft tissue injury to his left shoulder - he came to us on 5/13/24 and this little guy has blossomed and is doing amazing - amazing what proper vet care and lots of tlc can do - and Dobby is proof of that. He is ready to find a family to call his own and he is going to bring so much joy to some lucky family. We are not sure of Dobby's breed - possibly a lab mix of some sort or as we like to say a "lovable mutt" and loveable he is. He is estimated to be 3-4 months old and currently weighs 10 pounds, so not going to be a huge dog - just the right size as we do not think he will be over 50 pounds (but again that is just an estimate). Dobby is smart smart boy - and as you can see from the pictures he is learning the leash walking , doing well with his crate training and housebreaking but he is just a puppy so patience and consistency is the key with any puppy - he does great with other dogs and would love to have a playmate or some kids to play with. He loves loves loves his toys and will keep himself occupied playing with them for a while. His personality is amazing - he is a fun loving little guy that is going to keep a smile on your face If you are interested in adopting Dobby, the first step is going to our website www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org and filling out our adoption application - we do NOT set up meet and greets until the adoption application is filled out and reviewed. Dobby's adoption fee is $250.00 - he has had all age appropriate vaccines and the rescue will pay for his remaining puppy vaccines as well as his neuter, he has had a full bloodwork panel done, dewormed, microchipped and is current on his monthly heartworm prevention and flea/tick medication. And as a reminder we do not have a facility - all of our dogs are in private foster homes throughout Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina . So get to the website and fill out that adoption application - you won't be sorry because this little guy is amazing

Story
My name is Slayton! I am one years old and I weigh approximately 40 - 45 lbs. I am fostered in Danbury, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available. I was turned into a County animal shelter, but I’m not sure why because I am such a loving, friendly boy. I get along great with other dogs of all sizes and ages. In fact, one of my favorite playmates is the Great Pyrenees in our foster home. I am a fun loving boy with a very happy personality. I love people and I really enjoy being with them. I love to be petted and played with. l walk on a leash and I ride well in the car. I don't bark a lot. I have a medium energy level. I'm good with kids. I don't know if I'm good with cats because the rescue doesn't have any. I am neutered, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on my vaccines. I'm a wonderful companion with lots of love to give! I'm ready and waiting to go to my new forever home! Belly rubs are a must! A copy of my veterinarian records will accompany me to my new home. Once an application is approved, the foster’s phone number will be provided before an adoption decision is made. Email is the best method of contact. Applications can be found on our rescue website carolinacaninerescuenc.com

Story
Meet Alfalfa, a well-behaved mellow guy who loves to hike! He's a 7 year old lab chow mix around 80lbs, who is fully house trained, neutered, and has perfect indoor manners. He is very sweet - he loves to cuddle, and he checks all the boxes for a carefree buddy. He's very relaxed but is also a great adventure buddy. He loves to hike on the trails in the Asheville area. And he’s very social! He’s friendly to all people and dogs. Alfalfa is in excellent health with no medical issues, and is up to date on all vaccinations. He would do well in a range of homes though he would probably prefer older respectful children and an active household. He is reactive to cats, and wouldn't do well around them. We think he would love other dog siblings. Our work travel schedule has made it difficult to ensure Alfalfa gets the care he deserves, and we want to find a home where he'll be well taken care of.

Story
Roxy is a smart, loving, and sensitive 3 year old. She's lean and athletic. She loves chasing her frisbee but doesn't bug me to keep tossing it. She enjoys running around the backyard or just soaking up the sun in addition to going on walks. She enjoys being by my side while I work at home or just chilling. She's able to balance when to be active and when to chill. Roxy would be happiest with a healthy couple who have a stable lifestyle. She hasn't lived with children, cats or other dogs. She needs a fenced yard or lots of land to run and play. Busy, loud places are too much for her at this time. I've worked with a trainer to overcome her insecurities and have made lots of progress. When I first adopted her at 11 months, she was too afraid to go for rides. Now, she readily gets in the car but gets nervous at higher speeds. With someone who has a good understanding of dog behavior and experience training dogs, I think she can reach her full potential. She learns with games and treats

Ebony is a 3 yr old affectionate, well trained and playful dog. She walks well on leash and loves to play both fetch and tug. She is food motivated and enjoys training. Our multidog household is a bit too much for her. If you have room in your home and heart for one special dog, she would be great for you.

When Beacon isn’t reapplying sun tan lotion, he enjoys roaming around the yard and living his best life in the great outdoors.  While Beacon enjoys his freedom, he is well-behaved on leash and enjoys going on walks and hikes to meet new friends and stop for sniffs. Are you trying to become popular in your community?  Beacon wants to help! My lifestyle and work-travel responsibilities have changed recently and after long deliberation, I have concluded I am no longer in a position to provide Beaconwith the appropriate time and attention that he deserves, which is why I hope rehoming this awesome pup will connect Beacon with a family who is looking for an active, kind-hearted,  affectionate dog to dote on!Care Requirements:Diet: Beacon is on IAM’s Adult, Large Breed for the past 5 years without any issues.Exercise Needs: Beacon is happy to go on walks a couple times a week and also enjoys to free-range and explore enclosed yards with you once or more a day.Grooming: Beacon is short haired, and you may not need to brush him often.Current Medications: Not on any medicationsFor for more information or to meet Beacon contact Josh Steed today at 404-576-3838!
