Story
Midnite is a sweet, loving 8–9 year old dog who has been with me since she was about 6 months old. I rescued her from an abusive situation, so she can be shy and cautious around unfamiliar people, other dogs, and especially men at first. Once she feels safe, she becomes very affectionate and forms a very strong bond with her person. I’m looking for a loving, patient home with one adult, no other pets, (although she gets along well with cats) and someone who has plenty of time to spend with her and give her lots of attention. She would do best with someone who wants a close companion and can give her a calm, peaceful home. She does have seasonal allergies that may need veterinary care. Since we had a baby, she has become more irritable around him, so I believe an adult-only home would be best for her. Midnite is deeply loved, and I will only place her in a safe, loving home where she can get the time, attention, and care she deserves. She is a wonderful dog and she deserves a good home

Meet Toad! Gender: Female DOB: 7/11/26 Size: Expected to be large size full grown Breed: Lab/hound mix Energy Level: Puppy (but manageable!) Dog Friendly: yes Cat Friendly: yes with continued practice. She's very good at being corrected by the kitty!  Kid Friendly: 100%  Physical Fence Requirement: No but watch her closely. She's small and can slip out of small cracks in the fence. Recommended to either watch during potty breaks or walk on a leash. Apartment Friendly: Would not recommend, she's a bit vocal. Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Working on it and getting better all the time.  Likes: Eating, playing, chew toys, squeaky toys, other dogs and puppies, other people's toys, snuggling, being adored up close and from afar, being told she's the goodest girl, getting pets and scritches, and it bears repeating snuggling!  Dislikes: parvo! Toad is a parvo survivor! Toad isn't a fan of being bathed, sharing her food, being told to back off by the resident cat, and not being snuggled.  What makes this puppy special: Toad is probably perfect, from her tiny bark at the neighbor's dog to her tiny eyebrows on her adorable face. She's playful, funny, and so so sweet. She has high puppy energy but in between she has long, absolutely luxurious looking naps with her favorite spot being on a pile of raw (clean!!!) fleece her foster mom is using for spinning yarn. The girl knows how to relax! But of all the things she loves, what she loves most is a friend to snuggle and will absolutely melt into the arms of whoever is holding her. She is not the loudest puppy we've ever had, but she's definitely a hound dog who wants to make sure the neighbor dogs know she's on patrol. She might be small, but in her mind the neighbor's dog is shaking in his fur every time she's on the scene! Toad is clearly a smart girl and is already learning to sit and lay down and is so close to being house trained. That being said, she's still a puppy so she will need continued lessons in manners along with reminders of the appropriate place to poop. She'd do well with a family that can continue to work with her to learn everything a puppy needs to know and give her plenty of playtime and unlimited snuggles.  Adoption fee is $400. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchip if you choose to return to our affiliated vet office for the procedure. The puppy will be up to date on vaccinations, deworming, and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. ##2838578##

Meet Moose! Gender: Male DOB: 7/11/26 Size: Expected to be large size full grown Breed: Lab/hound mix Energy Level: Typical puppy energy Dog Friendly: yes! Cat Friendly: yes, but will need continued practice, as he is still learning that the cat does not want to play the way puppies and dogs play. He is very good at being corrected by the resident cat!  Kid Friendly: yes Physical Fence Requirement: No but will need lots of exercise Apartment Friendly: No. He enjoys singing the song of his people when he feels slighted by the wrongs of the world (ie when he's in his playpen so his foster can get the dishes done in peace). Crate Trained: Yes! He crates himself when he wants a nap because he's an ANGEL. Potty Trained: working on it! Still very much a puppy.  Likes: Eating, playing, chew toys, squeaky toys, other dogs and puppies, playing tug of war, running for no discernible reason, EATING (he really likes eating a lot, I can't stress this enough. I recommend he have a puzzle feeder down the line), being pet, snuggling up in his crate.  Dislikes: Moose didn't care much for parvo! He is a parvo survivor! What makes this puppy special: Moose is the quintessential puppy. He's playful, he's wiggly, he's as roly poly, pell mell, pumble bumble as a puppy can be, and even this is not a good enough description for how absolutely adorable he is. He's very friendly and sweet, content to play until he passes out and follow it up with a very hard nap, either on the couch next to you or in his personal crate den (or with another dog, if you're lucky enough to have more than one!). He can play hard, but he is learning boundaries quickly and with practice I expect him to be a pretty easing going boy. His fur is very soft and luxurious feeling, almost like velvet. All in all, he has been a great foster and will do well wherever he goes so long as his adopters understand he is a puppy and will need help learning everything a puppy needs to learn.  Adoption fee is $400. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchip if you choose to return to our affiliated vet office for the procedure. The puppy will be up to date on vaccinations, deworming, and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. ##2838574##
