Hello there! My name is Poptart and I'm a sweet little girl looking for a family. My story is a sad one. A nice lady saw a man driving me and my siblings around in the back of his pick-up truck...and then, he dumped us all in the wilderness to fend for ourselves! My siblings and I were terrified. The woods were dark and scary. Luckily, the nice lady who saw us get dumped called Beagle Freedom Project right away. Staff at Freedom Fields rushed to find me, and after lots of time and patience, they rescued me and my family! When we first arrived to Freedom Fields, I was shaking in fear. After some loving and lots of treats, my tail has started wagging. I love being pet, and I love other dogs. I'm still pretty scared and getting used to being loved. Freedom Fields staff doesn't think anyone has ever pet or cuddled me before. I can't believe how much I've been missing! Cocoa is super-smart sweetheart who is frequently stubborn. She tends to be high-energy, with periods of couch potato-ing during the during the day, but after 7:00 PM all she wants to do is snooze and cuddle. She’s always been a healthy girl (no ear infections), but for the past year she has experienced atypical seizures periodically. Her vet has had us monitoring Cocoa and she is not medicated at this time. Why we're rehoming: Cocoa recently decided she no longer wants to get along with our golden retriever. We can’t keep them in the same house, and keeping them separated in our home just isn’t possible without a loss of quality of life for both pups. Although she loves other dogs out in public and at the dog park, I believe she would be best placed in a home where she is the only dog, with a family who can give her their full attention. She's a darling girl who deserves the best. Best suited in a home with tweens or older.

Baxter is a total doll. He and his sibling were dumped at our rescue...they are social and so sweet. Baxter is all puppy but he is ready to have you teach him how to be the best boy he can be. He is crate, and potty trained. His life took a little turn at Christmas time when he was stepped on by a cow (yes his fosters have cows :), he had a tail and pelvic injury that required his tail to be amputated and he had to recover. WELL he HAS recovered :) He still has nerve damage in the back leg ..he uses it occasionally but at times doesn't...this does not slow him down...his foster mom, Jodi can share more about this gorgeous boy!!!! He is ready for his furever home and boy will you LOVE this boy!! While he was recovering from his injuries he became the bestest pup you could imagine! Now he is looking for that forever home that will just love him for who he is!! ADOPT DON'T SHOP!!! SO MANY PUPS LIKE BAXTER's LIVES DEPEND ON IT!!!
