Story
Barry is such a sweet dog. He loves belly rubs, playing tug-fetch, and smelling everything he can on walks. Barry likes all treats, even veggies. He's never had a potty accident inside and isn't destructive to shoes, furniture, etc. (except for his own toys).Barry's great with adult humans, but not with most animals. He has a prey drive for small animals, sometimes herds and plays rough with other dogs, and fought with a dog that had escaped its fence while Barry and I were on a walk. It was unclear who started the fight, and fortunately neither dog was severely injured.I got Barry from a shelter 5yrs ago, and he's at least 9yrs old now. He had been surrendered severely underweight, with skin infections, and with a wounded ear that required surgery. He now just needs his ears cleaned regularly and has had some joint inflammation recently.Despite his faults, he'd be a great pet for folks without other animals who just want to give a sweet doggo a better life than his started out.

Story
Meet Obi, a big, beautifully goofy chocolate Lab whose heart is even larger than his frame. At home, he is the ultimate companion—deeply affectionate, fiercely loyal, and completely dedicated to his people. He thrives in a relaxed household, loving nothing more than leaning in for full-body cuddles or shadowing you from room to room. Remarkably patient and sweet-natured, Obi also shares his space beautifully with feline friends, making him a perfect, gentle fit for a home with cats. While he is a superstar at home, Obi has a sensitive soul and navigates the world with a fair amount of anxiety. He easily gets overwhelmed and socially awkward in busy, unpredictable settings outside the house, so high-traffic environments just aren't his cup of tea. His ideal match is a patient owner looking for an incredibly loving, cat-friendly homebody. In a peaceful, routine-filled sanctuary where his sensitive side is embraced, Obi will bring endless joy and devotion to a quiet life.

Story
Murphy, 5.5Y, is a sweet boy who lives respectfully with 2 cats and will greet you and your people with a great amount of enthusiasm. He needs to be on anti-seizure meds which he takes without issue and I will give what I have. My house is no longer full of family nor am I able to walk him as much as he needs. Even so, he has been a wonderful pet and it breaks my heart to rehome him. I have a hip injury that makes it really difficult to get him the exercise he needs. He's a labrador so he still acts like a puppy. He is full house trained (I cannot remember the last time he had a accident and I'm away for 10ish hours/day) and would prefer a companion that is home a bit more or takes him with them. He's super friendly; wants to meet every person and dog he sees and will pull so a little training needed. That said, when walked and exercised consistently, he's much better. I have had him since he was 8 weeks old and love him dearly but he deserves way more attention than he is receiving.

Story
Meet Kascade! He is a 6 year old pure bred black lab. We acquired him to foster for someone who needed to emergently re-home him before a move and wanted to avoid a shelter. We really want to find his forever home. He has been trained and is able to follow commands such as sit, stay, come, and has great recall. Walks well on the leash. Crate trained. Very snuggly and loves attention. He still very much has lab energy so will need a home with a yard and daily walks. He is toy motivated and loves to play fetch. We currently have another dog and two cats and he has done well with them. We were told he does well with children. We are happy to chat and give more details if you are interested!

Story
Meet Diogi!Don’t let the name fool you—Diogi (pronounced D-O-G) is as lovable as they come! This handsome yellow Labrador Retriever is a happy-go-lucky guy with a heart as big as his smile.Diogi has never met a stranger and believes everyone is a potential best friend, which sometimes gets him a bit over-excited. Whether you’re stopping to say hello or heading out on an adventure, he’s always ready to tag along with his signature Lab enthusiasm. One of his absolute favorite things is going for car rides, especially when he gets to stick his head out the window and enjoy the breeze with a big goofy grin.Like many Labs, Diogi is full of energy and is looking for an active family that can keep up with his zest for life. He’ll thrive with daily walks, hikes, playtime, or other adventures that help keep both his body and mind busy. He’s still polishing up his leash manners and can be quite the puller when he’s excited, so he’ll benefit from continued positive reinforcement training and a family committed to helping him become the best walking buddy he can be.If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily join you on every adventure, greet each day with excitement, and fill your home with love and laughter, Diogi is ready to meet you!If you are interested in meeting Diogi, the shelter is open Monday through Saturday, 11 am – 6 pm, Sunday 11 am-4 pm (Summer Hours).
