Story
He’s a great dog, we got him for our daughter who’s 2. So he’s a little over a year old now, born in February. He’s great inside with just laying around, our daughter can do literally anything to him and he loves it. So a great family dog, not a lot of energy and is ok with laying around all day. Our problem is that we are a working farmer, and we have had several instances where he’s killed our chickens and even a lamb ones. He hasn’t seemed them out, it’s been if they get out and enter his area he goes after them but obviously on a farm that’s not really something we can have. We are really sad about making this choice, it’s going to break our daughter’s heart but I can’t in good conscience keep a dog that will kill my livestock. Loves humans and just wanted attention, plays very good with other dogs. Has great obedience, recall and manners.

If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out the application at www.woodscreekrescue.com. Filling out the application is not a commitment to an adoption and needs to be done prior to any further questions you might have or information you are seeking. Our Process is the following: 1. Fill out an application 2. Once the application is approved, you will be called or emailed about setting up a day and time to meet me. 3. After a "Meet and Greet" then a decision for both the rescue and you will determine if this is a good match. After this is determined, we will schedule a home check which can be the day of adoption depending on how things go. Want to see more of me? Check us out on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok. Story
Murphy, 5.5Y, is a sweet boy who lives respectfully with 2 cats and will greet you and your people with a great amount of enthusiasm. He needs to be on anti-seizure meds which he takes without issue and I will give what I have. My house is no longer full of family nor am I able to walk him as much as he needs. Even so, he has been a wonderful pet and it breaks my heart to rehome him. I have a hip injury that makes it really difficult to get him the exercise he needs. He's a labrador so he still acts like a puppy. He is full house trained (I cannot remember the last time he had a accident and I'm away for 10ish hours/day) and would prefer a companion that is home a bit more or takes him with them. He's super friendly; wants to meet every person and dog he sees and will pull so a little training needed. That said, when walked and exercised consistently, he's much better. I have had him since he was 8 weeks old and love him dearly but he deserves way more attention than he is receiving.

Story
We took Dexter in about 6 months ago from a less than ideal situation and unfortunately our landlord and hoa will not approve for him to stay because he barks at other dogs walking along the sidewalk that runs along our fence line. He is very playful and sweet. He needs a securely fenced yard and strong arm to walk him. He is smart and knows some commands but has never had formal training. He is excitable when he sees other dogs but is playful and has never been aggressive. He loves all people. He will steal food from counters or get into the trash if left unattended. He is healthy, and loves to play fetch or chew on his stuffy toy. He is fine home alone as long as trash or food are not accessible.
