Story
Skip really caught our eye in a California shelter with his handsome puppy face and stunning fawn coat. Like so many puppies in shelters, Skip needed and exit plan and we decided he would be perfect to join our program! - 5 months old and 32lbs - Possibly a German Shepherd/Lab mix - Social with people and very sweet - Great with other dogs and has a really fun time playing - Fostered with cats but seems a little too interested in chasing them in a playful way. We are recommending no cats for Skip. - Likely good with kiddos, he has a soft, happy temperament - Medium puppy energy. Plays but then can be calm. - Walks nice on leash and no reactivity observed during outings to stores and parks and seeing other reactive dogs. - Learning that cars take him on fun adventures but is currently a little nervous on car rides - Does well in the crate. - Loves his toys, especially tugs and rope toys. He will toss them up in the air and happily entertain himself. Skip is fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee includes his neuter surgery on July 16th at our partner vet clinic in Milwaukie, Oregon. It also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin. $250 adoption fee Fostered in Vancouver, Washington APPLY TO ADOPT SKIP: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
Meet Mr. Social Butterfly, aka Radish. He is super curious, playful, very social, and friendly. He's good on walks and doesn't pull much except when he wants to say hi to other dogs and people. Radish was born around August 2021. He weighs about 98 lbs and has a gorgeous white coat with tan, yellow and fawn color markings. His canine DNA test results were Great Pyrenees, mix with Labrador Retriever and German Shepherd.  Radish is very loving, cuddly, and loves belly rubs. He enjoys playing with other dogs of all sizes and gets along with cats. He's intelligent, attentive, eager to learn new tricks, and commands and picks them up very quickly. His favorite toy is a stuffed dinosaur, and he loves the water. He doesn't love the crate but does relatively well in it.  ADOPT HERE: Complete an Adoption Application for your Pyr-fect new family companion at https://gprs.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6206. Story
**Spring Special** What a great time to add a pup to your pack! $100 off adoption fee for applications submitted through April 30th.  Meet Lucky, the lovable heartthrob of the rescue world! This handsome fella was born in November 2023, and he has been charming all he meets ever since. With soulful eyes that could melt the iciest of hearts, Lucky is a sweet and affectionate pup who craves attention and affection.  Lucky's mom is a beautiful Pyrenees/Husky, and his unique heritage has given him many desirable traits! This playful little guy is always up for a game of fetch, especially if it involves his beloved tennis balls. His ears are constantly perked, eager to catch every exciting moment. But Lucky's playful nature isn't just reserved for toys. He's also formed strong bonds with his foster siblings, engaging in spirited play while also knowing when to give them space. He'll need a home with another playful dog to keep him company, as he'll surely miss his furry pals when he leaves. When it's time to wind down, Lucky enjoys nothing more than snuggling up in his crate with his favorite blanket and stuffed animal. He is 100% potty trained, and he’ll wait patiently by the door when nature calls. And with a keen mind and a willingness to learn, Lucky is mastering commands like sit, down, wait, and shake with ease.  If you're searching for a furry friend who's equal parts cuddly and playful, Lucky is the perfect match for you! With his irresistible charm and boundless affection, he's sure to steal your heart in no time. Lucky will need obedience training as he gets older and more mature. There is a lot for a puppy to learn and like all small puppies, he will need someone who can be home with him a lot and provide him with love, patience and boundaries to help him become a loyal companion. He loves the companionship of other animals and requires another dog in the home to act as his mentor as he continues to understand the rules of his new world. ADOPT HERE: Complete an Adoption Application for your Pyr-fect new family companion at https://gprs.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6206. PUPPIES ARE ONLY PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL RESIDENT DOGS WHO ARE AT LEAST 50 POUNDS. Our requirements for puppy adoptions are simple and necessary. Our puppies are not livestock guardians, they are family pets that live inside of the family home. Puppies must be placed in homes with a youthful, adult resident dog of similar size. This gives the puppy a mentor and a solid foundation for becoming part of the family. Puppies are only adopted to homes with someone at home at least part of the day. If no one is home for 6-8 hours at a time, please do not apply. Preference is always given to those with Great Pyrenees experience. Applicants must have secure, visible fencing and a socialization plan in place. The fastest way to be considered for a puppy is to fill out an application. Adoption is not first come, first served. GPRS and its fosters work diligently to find the right fit for each and every unique dog and puppy. Applicant’s personal pets must be current on vaccines & heartworm/flea prevention and be altered.
