Story
Meet Zoey! Zoey is a 47lb, 6 year old- lab mix. This beautiful girl is on the hunt to find her perfect family- one that is patient, dedicated and full of love. In her life, she has been faced with some ups and downs, so sometimes you need to take things a bit slow, but once she opens up she is a dream! She enjoys going for walks around the property, playing with toys and she has been working with staff on her basic commands. Zoey's dream home is one that is filled to the brim with consistency and stability as this is very important for her to thrive. She would do best as the only pet in the home, and shouldn't be placed in a home with young children. If you are interested in adopting Zoey, go to our website: www.nokillarc.org to fill out a pre-approval form (it can be located under the ‘adoptable dogs' section).

Story
Lilly (DOB 8/18/23) is a lab/pit mix who currently weighs 45 pounds. She came to us with her brother who has since been adopted, and neither had EVER been outside in their lives before now. You would never know now, as she has made great strides with walking on the leash and potty training! Lilly is extremely sweet, friendly, and smart but will benefit from owners who understand that she will need time to adjust as she learns more about the outside world and gains confidence in herself and her surroundings. Lilly is interested but unsure when first meeting new dogs, but she warms up with a little bit of time and patience. We believe she may benefit from a home with a confident dog to show her the ropes (a meet and greet is required at our shelter for any potential canine siblings).Lilly is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. If interested in adopting, please go to our website: www.nokillarc.org to fill out a pre-approval form (located under the ‘adoptable dogs' section).

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.AVAILABLE MAY 11  - JOEYMixed Breed, Neutered, 9 months old, Up to Date--Good with KIDS, DOGS, CATS  Joey came to us via rescue partners from Kentucky.  He had been turned into a County Shelter because his owners had too many animals. His foster mom says Joey is mild mannered and bonds to people quickly. He is unsure about cats apparently never having lived with any. Out of pure curiousity, he will give chase.  Joey is doing well wit the children in the family and is being taught to 'not jump up'. He is crate trained and pretty well housetrained.  This sweet young fellow will make someone an awesome companion.Joey is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, and is on monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.  We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions. We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.  Thank you!May 4, 2024, 7:40 pm

Great dog for a family. I have had Rex for a little over a year but since I moved my landlord will only allow me to have one dog at my property so it saddens me but I must find this little loving, playful pup a great home to go into. He's good with kids. He loves to play and he'll do circles around the whole house lol.

Story
Finn is a 4 yr. old lab mix. He is neutered and weighs 73 lbs. Came from high kill shelter in SC. Housetrained. He is a chill dog and dog friendly. He also passed our cat test at the rescue so we believe he will be able to live in a household with other dogs and cat. He tested negative for heartworm . He loves people! BUT he will be protective in your home, so he would need to be crated when someone comes to the door. Especially delivery people. Good in the car. If you are interested in meeting or adopting him please text Casey at 570-441-0083. We adopt to the general public, but we also provide dogs to military veterans at no charge in order to help our veterans if they need a companion or emotional support animal. Our website also has other available dogs for adoption. https://rescuepetsservingvets.org ##1605919##
