Story
🐾 Meet Nebula! 💜✨ Nebula is ready for a forever home! At just 11 months old and approximately 30 pounds, this sweet girl has already experienced more than any puppy should. Nebula and her siblings — Black Widow, Peggy, Hulk, Wanda, and Thor — were found at a construction site in South Texas near the Mexico border, along with several other dogs. They were hungry, exhausted, and looked completely defeated. Thankfully, the six puppies and several of the other dogs were rescued and brought to a safe sanctuary, where they have been thriving since March 2026. Now, Nebula's next chapter is finding a family of her very own. ❤️ 🌟 About Nebula Nebula is a loyal, smart, sweet girl who doesn't need an extremely active home. She's perfectly happy being part of the action without always needing to be in the middle of it. She loves other dogs, but she doesn't necessarily need another dog in her forever home. She's more of a sit-back-and-watch kind of girl. She enjoys playing and having fun more than sitting around trying to learn commands all day. A home with a backyard for some playtime, along with neighborhood walks and plenty of companionship, would be wonderful for her. 🐶 With other dogs: Nebula loves dogs, although she can sometimes be picked on by them, much like her sister Wanda. She will defend herself, but she isn't a fighter. She's a sweet girl who would do best with respectful canine companions. 🐱 Cats: She has not been tested with cats. 😂 Nebula's adorable quirks Nebula has plenty of personality! 🐦 She loves to chase and catch birds, so low-lying bird feeders may need to be moved! 🪵 She likes to nibble on wood. 🧤 Garden gloves are NOT safe around Nebula — she loves them, just like her brother Hulk! 🧤 She enjoys playing tug-of-war with Red or her brother Hulk. 💃 When it's feeding time, she does the cutest little paw dance because she gets SO excited about food and treats! 🏃‍♀️ She has been known to escape, but thankfully she never wandered far. Underneath all those silly puppy antics is a loving, loyal, gentle girl who deserves a family willing to give her the patience, security, and love she has always needed. 🐾 Nebula at a glance 11 months old Approximately 30 lbs Loyal and smart Sweet and playful Loves other dogs Does not require a highly active home Enjoys backyard play and neighborhood walks Doesn't necessarily need another dog in the home Not tested with cats Loves treats and food Still has some puppy mischief to work through ❤️ Nebula has gone from a frightened puppy at a construction site to a happy girl who knows what it's like to be safe. Now she needs the part we've all been waiting for: Her forever family. 🏡💜 Please consider fostering or adopting Nebula and giving this beautiful girl the safe, loving home she deserves. 🐾 Nebula is ready to leave the sanctuary and start her forever life. Nebula is spayed, heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. Story
Meet Red — Your 52-Lb. Velcro Best Friend! Red is a 1.5-year-old, 52-pound sweetheart who was rescued from a shelter’s euthanasia list along with his three siblings. Now that he’s safe in foster care, Red is showing everyone just how special he is. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Red is your guy. He’s a true Velcro dog who loves being near his people—whether that means sitting next to you, following you from room to room, or simply keeping you company. Despite his young age, Red is wonderfully calm, chill, and easygoing. He isn’t a high-energy dog and is perfectly happy hanging out with his favorite people. He’s also great with both big and small dogs and would make a wonderful addition to a family. We think he’d be especially lovely with children. Red is smart, affectionate, and incredibly loyal. He also has a hilarious mischievous side! He loves sneaking off with things from the outdoor table, and when his foster catches him with his latest treasure, he proudly acts like he’s just won the jackpot. He’s also a bit of a Houdini—Red can figure out how to escape when given the opportunity. But here’s the funny part: he doesn’t actually want to go anywhere! He’ll escape, only to follow his people around anyway. He just wants to be wherever you are. And mornings are one of Red’s specialties. When he sees his person first thing, he likes to jump up and say hello with what can only be described as a big, happy good-morning hug. He definitely loves his toys, especially balls!! Red is the kind of dog who makes you feel loved simply by being around you. He’s sweet, gentle, affectionate, smart, loyal, and wonderfully laid-back—with just enough goofy personality to keep you laughing. Red is ready for a family of his own. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend who will follow you everywhere, greet you with hugs, and happily spend his days by your side, Red may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for. Red is neutered, heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. Story
Peggy is a petite girl weighing a whopping 25 lbs! She is approximately 11 months old. This gentle girl absolutely loves other dogs; big and small. She is currently being fostered in a sanctuary in south Texas, along the Texas/Mexico border. This amazing sanctuary is only a short term stop for this fur-baby until their forever home is found. Peggy was found in January of 2026 in a cemetery with about 12+ other dogs. She was fending for herself, finding food, water and shelter where and when she could. Peggy was the smallest of the bunch, so she was probably picked on a lot more than the other doggies. Her siblings are Hulk, Nebula, Wanda, Thor and Black Widow, who are also available for adoption! She is much calmer than the other dogs at the sanctuary. Peggy likes to play, but she also likes to just sit back and watch everyone else cause trouble. She will run along side of them, with sometimes joining in the rough housing. She likes to ref the other dogs by barking at them playing. Peggy would be great for a calmer household – play in the backyard with another dog and her toys. She is working on her leash training – she is crate trained. Peggy loves playing in the water and laying in the kiddy pool, cooling off. If you want a smaller doggy to stay by your side, to cuddle with and to enjoy the nice days outside – Peggy is a wonderful choice. Peggy is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. Story
🖤 Meet Black Widow! Black Widow is approximately 11 months old and around 30 lbs — and she may just be the sensible one of the bunch! 🖤🐾 Black Widow and her siblings Wanda, Peggy, Hulk, Nebula, and Thor were found at a construction site in South Texas along the Mexico border, along with multiple other dogs. They were hungry, tired, and looked completely defeated. Thankfully, the six puppies and several of the other dogs were rescued and brought to a safe sanctuary, where they have been thriving ever since. They have been at the sanctuary since March 2026, and Black Widow has grown into a sweet, social, smart, playful young dog who is now ready for a family of her own. And while her siblings may be busy creating chaos, Black Widow is often standing off to the side thinking, “You guys go ahead. I'll watch.” 😂 🖤 The Calm One Black Widow is definitely one of the more laid-back puppies in the litter. She has puppy energy and enjoys playing, but she doesn't feel the need to be involved in every single activity. She is perfectly happy hanging back, doing her own thing, and watching the other dogs act completely ridiculous. She's energetic when she wants to be, but she doesn't need constant activity to be happy. A more relaxed home could be a wonderful fit for her. In fact, Black Widow is probably the sibling most likely to observe a situation, let someone else try it first, and then decide whether it's worth joining in. She's very smart and seems to have figured out that sometimes it's best to let the other dogs get themselves into trouble first. 😉 👵 Black Widow, the Referee One of our favorite things about her? Black Widow seems to believe she has been appointed official referee of the dog park. If the other dogs start playing too rough, she may intervene to let them know they've crossed the line. She's basically the old grandma of the litter: "That's enough! Stop running! Don't make me come over there!" 😂 She doesn't have to be the center of attention, but she definitely keeps an eye on what's happening around her. 🐾 Her Favorite Things Black Widow is a sweet girl who loves: ❤️ Her people 🦴 Treats — she is very food motivated! 🥰 Belly rubs 😂 Watching her siblings get into trouble 🐕 Being around other dogs 💤 Hanging back and relaxing 🚶‍♀️ Exploring and going for walks 👀 Keeping tabs on everyone else's business One of her favorite things is rolling onto her back and asking for belly rubs. She is affectionate without being over-the-top and enjoys spending time with her humans. 🐕 Other Dogs? Black Widow enjoys other dogs, but she doesn't need another dog in her home. She would be perfectly happy as the only dog and could really shine in a home where she gets plenty of one-on-one attention. If you already have dogs, she can fit into that lifestyle too. She may even take on the role of household referee when her canine siblings get a little too rowdy! 🎓 Training Black Widow is still a young puppy and will benefit from continued positive, consistent training. She is currently working on her leash skills — although sometimes she seems to think she's the one taking you for a walk! 😂 With patience and consistency, she should continue making great progress. 🏡 Her Perfect Home Black Widow would likely do best with a more relaxed family or individual who appreciates a dog with a calmer personality. She would be happy with: 🐾 A relaxed home ❤️ Lots of love and attention 🦴 Plenty of treats for training 🐕 Other dogs — or no dogs at all 🚶‍♀️ Walks and moderate activity 🛋️ Plenty of time to hang out and observe the household She would still enjoy adventures and playtime, but she isn't the puppy who needs to be on the go every second of the day. Black Widow is the girl who will happily let everyone else burn off their energy while she watches from the sidelines — and then comes over afterward for her belly rubs. She's smart, sweet, independent, affectionate, and just a little bit bossy when the other dogs need to settle down. After everything she went through as a puppy, Black Widow deserves a peaceful home where she can finally relax, feel safe, and be loved. If you're looking for a sweet, observant, slightly sassy little companion who will keep the household in line, Black Widow may be your girl. 🖤🐾 Black Widow is spayed, heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. Story
🐾 Meet Hulk! Hulk is approximately 11 months old, 47 lbs, and the biggest of his litter — hence the name! 💚 Hulk and his siblings Wanda, Peggy, Black Widow, Nebula, and Thor were found at a construction site in South Texas along the Mexico border. They were among multiple dogs at the site, hungry, exhausted, and looking defeated. Thankfully, all six puppies and several of the other dogs were rescued and brought to a safe sanctuary, where they have been thriving since March 2026. After months at the sanctuary, Hulk has blossomed into a happy, social, goofy, confident, and incredibly lovable young dog who is ready for a family of his own. Hulk is looking for an active home and a family who wants a four-legged adventure buddy. Hiking? Absolutely. Exploring? Yes, please! Playing with other dogs? He’s all in. He has plenty of puppy energy and would love a home where he can get lots of exercise, playtime, enrichment, and continued training. But don't let his energy fool you — Hulk also knows how to relax. In his kennel, especially when paired with his friend Robin, he is calm and comfortable. Once he's out, though, he is ready to run, play, splash in the kiddie pool, and have some fun! 💚 Hulk's Personality Loves all humans and happily greets strangers Extremely affectionate and loves getting pets Very sweet and loves belly rubs Goofy, confident, playful, and fun Loves following his people around Very food motivated… although he's still learning that treats are supposed to help you sit, not simply disappear! 😂 Loves toys, sticks, and especially stealing work gloves Obsessed with water and loves getting wet Enjoys running and playing Has plenty of puppy energy Crate trained Social and friendly Would be wonderful with children Can live with other dogs and would love canine playmates Could also be perfectly happy as the only dog Does well with cats with proper introductions Hulk has a particularly hilarious weakness: garden and work gloves. If someone at the sanctuary leaves a pair hanging around, Hulk considers them a fair game. He is also obsessed with sticks — one foster was cleaning up the property with a handful of sticks, and Hulk immediately decided they belonged to him. 😂 So if you're looking for a dog who will help with yard work… Hulk has some very specific ideas about what that means! 🏊‍♂️ Water Dog Extraordinaire Hulk absolutely loves water. If there is a kiddie pool available, he's probably going to be in it. He loves splashing, getting wet, and generally making sure everyone knows that water is meant to be enjoyed. 🏡 What Hulk Needs Hulk is still a young dog and will need consistent, positive training to help him become the best version of himself. He is still working on his leash skills and basic manners, so his adopter should be prepared to continue working with him as he grows. He would thrive with an active person or family who wants to take him on adventures, provide plenty of exercise and enrichment, and include him in their daily life. He's a short-to-medium-sized guy — not exactly tall, but definitely solidly built! At 47 lbs, Hulk is the biggest of the litter and is, shall we say, a little big-boned. 😂 He is not exactly the easiest dog to pick up and carry around, so fortunately, he much prefers keeping his four paws on the ground anyway! Most importantly, Hulk is a loving, happy young dog who has come so far since the day he was found. He went from a hungry, defeated puppy at a construction site to a confident, playful, affectionate dog who is ready to discover what life with a family is really like. If you're looking for a goofy, lovable, energetic companion who will happily follow you around, steal your gloves, chase sticks, splash in the water, and shower you with affection… Hulk might just be your guy. 💚🐾 Hulk is neutered, heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.
