Story
This is Captain! A lab/pit mix. He was recently rescued from living in a crate full time and brought into our home to help him socialize with other dogs and become house trained outside the crate. He is in need of someone who can give him the attention he deserves. We would love to keep him but about 2 weeks after bringing him home we found out we were pregnant. He’s ok around children, but we are not sure how he will do with an infant. He does not know how big he is, but he is kind.

Story
THIS IS A COURTESY POST***Lexi is not an Animal Aid dog. Please contact her owner with questions/to schedule a meeting: lexidog16@yahoo.comLexi is a sweet 8 year old black lab mix. She enjoys walks, snuggles, and treats. She has been with the same owners since she was 7 weeks old. Lexi is currently looking for a new home that does not have young children or other pets, as they make her anxious.Lexi is a sweet girl who enjoys her space away from young kids. She has taken beautifully to training. Part of that training is to help her politely avoid and ignore kids when she is uncomfortable around them (which is usually the case). She knows how to be a good girl around dogs and pets, but she would do best if she did not have to live with them. Please email lexidog16@yahoo.com for more information or to schedule a meeting.Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Hope to see you soon!PLEASE NOTE: Animal Aid Society observes a 40 mile adoption radius to facilitate post adoption support and follow ups.

Story
Are you looking for an an easy going dog? - Oprah is your girl! She just wants to play, cuddle and eat. She sleeps on her bed next to our bed. She is house trained, crate trained and really enjoys being outside. We haven't had much of a need to crate her because she is not destructive so usually she just roams around the house. She does LOVE food so sometimes we will put her in her crate while we eat. She loves to play with the ball and you wouldn't know she is 10 since she has so much energy and she just can't get enough ????. She will keep bringing you her ball until you tell her it is enough. We have some prior engagements for which we have to bring her back to the shelter on 4/1. We really hope she will have found her forever home by then or at least a temporary other foster until she can come back to us. She is too old and too sweet to spend her days at the shelter. We know there is someone out there who needs this wonderful companion. If not able to adopt let us know if you could foster her 4/1-4/7 and 4/20-5/12.***Due to Opawra's age, we don't think that she would do well in a home with small children, but older children who know how to behave around dogs would be just fine. She is SUPER housebroken, walks VERY well on a leash and she would be the perfect companion for someone looking for a calm, but active older pup. She could do fine in an apartment, townhome or a house; she isn't picky!***

Story
"All the single ladies, all the single ladies, put your hands up..." for me! I'm Zelda. While I'm not Queen Bee, I am certainly Queen Zee. I really prefer the company of the single ladies. And I have so much love to give. I love my belly rubs and chin scratches. You can tell me all about your exes and bad dates and I promise to never spill the tea. I love going outside for walks and I'm super great to walk on the leash. I know my basic commands and I have an awesome recall meaning I'll come running right back to you.My foster mom has also shown me how great the crate is. She lured me in with some peanut butter and a cozy orthopedic crate pad that was fit for the Queen that I am. And now I'm all about the crate life. It's like my own little castle. Speaking of castle... I'd prefer to have the castle all to myself. I haven't really enjoyed the company of men (had a few bad dates myself so I can relate). Small children disturb my zen as do female dogs. So have I convinced you that I'm royalty? If so, pop on over to PRAS and put a ring (or collar) on it so we can seal the deal.

Story
Having to give away my previous animal which was very hard for me to do I kind of got lonely and wanted best friend animal. So a military family who was getting ready to relocate to Germany posted a ad in the Virginian-Pilot about free dog getting ready to move overseas not able to take dog so free dog best friend lonely met Bella and I instantly fell in love but now with my work schedule being chaotic and my wife just had a new baby we have to keep Bella in a crate so that way we don't have any accidents or hiccups with the baby or my wife. The one thing I will say about Bella is that she's very protective as the alpha female she protects her territory and protects what is hers when she's outside she loves to run she just loved being outside. But like I said with me and my wife working she has to stay in a cage and it's not fair to her to be in xxxx@xxxx.x I'm looking for someone who is willing to spend time with Bella take her own Adventures on walks let her know that she is loved

My mom was a large dog, and staff thinks I'll get just as big fully grown, if not bigger (50-70 lbs)! If you're interested in meeting with me, please provide staff with proof of homeownership or a copy of your lease's pet policy.

Story
Jack Spratt is 6 years old Loverboy thst makes friends everywherehe goes.  He is such a combination of great breeds and his DNA profile is probably everything but the kitchen sink. For now let's say Lab/ Boxer mix with sprinkles of lots of other puppy dog tail wags.  At 6 years, he is a 64 pound, handsome dude that is strong. so easy going and a happy go lucky boy. His only manners need is to not pull on a leash.  He is potty trained, neutered and UTD on shots. He loves all people and playing ball is his favorite. Good with other dogs but no cats. Jack enjoys romping in a fenced yard and he likes the car rides.  He loves everyone and everyone who meets him falls fast and hard in love with him.  He never stops smiling or wagging his tail.  He is a favorite at at the vets office too.  We call him our gentle giant love muffin !  His human is undergoing serious medical issues and reluctantly must rehome this sweet boy she loves so much. Its heartbreaking for her.  Whoever adopts him is getting a lifelong, loyal and loving friend.  There is no better dog. If you are interested in treating yourself to a great dog and companion then email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and let's have a talk!  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 27, 2024, 1:06 pm
