Panda is a lazy silly girl ! She was with me thru my cancer and laid with me every step of the way! I e had her since she was born in my back yard in 2018! She is very dear to my heart but due to recent events I unfortunately have to part ways with my dear sweet Panda bear! Please know she’s only used to women mostly because she’s only ever been with me and my son. Meet Tommen!Some dogs arrive at the shelter with a story that`s easy to tell. Tommen`s isn`t one of them.This handsome, 1-year, 7-month-old neutered Yellow Labrador Retriever mix first came to us as a stray, with no one to tell us where he`d been or what he`d experienced. Like so many shelter dogs, he was given a fresh start and quickly found a family to call his own.When Tommen met that family, he was polite, friendly, and comfortable around everyone—including the children. He wasn`t especially interested in playing with them, but there were no concerns, and everyone felt he was a wonderful match. Before long, Tommen left the shelter and began what we hoped would be his happily ever after.Sadly, that`s not how his story unfolded.Shortly after his adoption, Tommen was rehomed. We don`t know exactly what happened during his time away from us, but we do know that he eventually found his way back to the shelter after his new family reported some behavioral concerns. Since returning, Tommen needed a little time to settle in—which is understandable after so much change—but each day we`ve watched more of the dog we remembered come back.The sweet, affectionate, people-loving Tommen is here again.Like many young Labradors, Tommen`s brain is often moving a hundred miles an hour. He can have a hard time focusing on the task at hand because, well... he`s young, curious, and excited about everything! He`ll thrive with someone who understands that consistency is key. A predictable routine, patient guidance, and positive training will help him become the very best version of himself.Interestingly, Tommen isn`t overly food motivated—at least not while he`s been with us—so his future family may need to get creative when it comes to training. The fun part? We think play may be the key to his heart. He absolutely loves to play, and a simple tennis ball might be all the motivation he needs to learn new skills and build confidence.He`s the kind of dog who enjoys being close to his people, soaking up attention, and simply being part of your day. Despite the uncertainty he`s experienced, Tommen still greets familiar faces with a wagging tail and an open heart.
