Meet Simon! He came to WAG as part of a litter of 6 after spending the first two and a half months of his life in the forest on the Olympic Peninsula. As a result, Simon is still shy around people he does not know.  While in foster care, we have learned that he is a cuddle bug with those he trusts. If you are looking for a constant companion, look no further. This sweet guy will bond tightly with his people. Because of Simon's shy nature, he needs people that will be understanding and patient with him as they train Simon to be the good dog we know he can be, and a calm environment. Due to his tendency to run when frightened, experienced dog owners are needed. Most of our dogs require a fully fenced yard, this does depend on the individual dogs needs and safety requirements. Story
Harvey is a sweet, affectionate 8-month-old lab mix who loves people and does great with kids. He has completed puppy obedience training and knows sit, down, stay, come, place, release, waits on command and is crate trained. He’s a smart boy who enjoys learning and being with his people. Like most young labs, Harv has energy and needs daily exercise and structure. He loves playing with other dogs and would do well with a canine companion. Harv is still learning his size and strength. Despite training efforts, he has a strong instinct to chase our cat and recently injured the cat during rough play. It was not aggression, but it made clear that a cat-free home is necessary for him to succeed. This has been a very difficult decision, but our cat is deeply bonded to us and cannot be rehomed. He is truly a loving, joyful dog who just needs the right environment to succeed. Ideal home: active, more than one dog (or access to dog friends), no cats.

Fun and sassy. Can be both energetic and also likes to lounge around. She can be chill but still has puppy behavior. Likes to play with her toys and will throw them at you. She hangs out by the window to watch people and the birds until it's time for walks. Loves long walks and toys that make noise. Good with children but reactive with dogs. Does not do well with cats or animals that can be chased. House-trained and fine in a crate but has been roaming crate-free with no issues. Poops on command. May need to be re-socialized with other animals. up to date with vaccines, micro-chipped.
