Meet Simon! He came to WAG as part of a litter of 6 after spending the first two and a half months of his life in the forest on the Olympic Peninsula. As a result, Simon is still shy around people he does not know.  While in foster care, we have learned that he is a cuddle bug with those he trusts. If you are looking for a constant companion, look no further. This sweet guy will bond tightly with his people. Because of Simon's shy nature, he needs people that will be understanding and patient with him as they train Simon to be the good dog we know he can be, and a calm environment. Due to his tendency to run when frightened, experienced dog owners are needed. Meet Choopy! This sweetheart came into WAG's care when in the early stages of recovering from flea allergy dermatitis. In the time she's been in foster care, we've gotten to see her get healthier and see what a great companion she is. Choopy is a great companion in the home! When she's comfortable, she rarely barks. She is agile, a quick learner, and is very food motivated, so she will go as far with training as an adopter wants to go. She had little to no training before coming to her foster home, but is showing a lot of improvement and is very trainable. She continues to need reminders to not counter and table surf. Choopy's ideal home would need a securely fenced yard (at least 5' tall), people that can continue working on her training, and either no other pets in the home or a laid-back dog. She has lived around kids and does well with gentle kids. Story
Birdie is a sweet girl. We adopted her and her sister from the animal shelter in NM back in 2019 as puppies. She loves to be outside, watching wildlife. She loves to cuddle on the couch with people. She is a total love bug and will bug you for pets. She is a little on the shy side at first, but warms up easily. She is a wonderful part of our family, we also have her sister and one other dog. They all get along great. She has moved with us to multiple states and is the best companion. My husband and I recently had a baby. As he has grown up, we started having issues. Birdie is not comfortable around him, very nervous and unfortunately growls at him. It completely breaks my heart to give her up, I love her very much but I feel like it is the best thing for her and my family. I cannot trust her around a small child at this point. There is no other reason to rehome her other than because of my son. My hope is to find her a loving home because that is all she deserves.

I have 2 dogs that I would like to keep together because the yellow lab/golden retriever mix is very attached to his sister Khloe. His name is Lenny they both grew up with kids from infants to a teenager. Since my wife and kids moved out of state I no longer have the time to give them the attention they deserve because of my work schedule so they spend way too much time in the kennel.
