Fun and sassy. Can be both energetic and also likes to lounge around. She can be chill but still has puppy behavior. Likes to play with her toys and will throw them at you. She hangs out by the window to watch people and the birds until it's time for walks. Loves long walks and toys that make noise. Good with children but reactive with dogs. Does not do well with cats or animals that can be chased. House-trained and fine in a crate but has been roaming crate-free with no issues. Poops on command. Leash reactive. Her trust in other animals is a result from having a run in with a raccoon. up to date with vaccines, micro-chipped. has mild hip dysplasia but there has been improvement since taking supplements. Does not bother her at all.

Story
Hi, I am Canela.I am a gentle, loving dog who starts out a little shy but warms up quickly once I feel safe. I was rescued while pregnant after surviving the streets and being mistreated. Thanks to kind people, my puppies were born safely, and now it is my turn to find a forever home.I love peaceful walks, warm sunny naps, and quiet moments of play. I am great with kids and would do best in a home with a yard where I can relax and explore.I get along well with other dogs, but cats and small apartments are not the best fit for me. With patience and kindness, I will become a loyal and affectionate companion. If you open your heart to me, I will fill your home with love. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
Hi, my name is Tomas! I am happy, playful, and cheerful. I love playing with other dogs, going for walks, and fetching balls. My ideal home would include other dogs, a yard, and an owner who takes me on regular walks. I am not suited for homes with cats, small spaces, or owners who are not affectionate. I was rescued and required several treatments and careful recovery. I am now fully healthy. I am a loving, intelligent dog who can be a little shy at first, but once I trust you, I am the perfect companion. I am ready to find a family who will give me the love and care I deserve. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. Story
Meet Honey Age: 3 years Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Labrador Retriever Color: Beige Weight: 24.4 kg (53.8 lbs) Height: 54 cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story In September 2025, Honey was found wandering around an apartment complex. After a report to the security office, she was brought into a city shelter. Now, she’s ready to leave her past behind and find a forever home.   ‍‍‍ Social with People Honey is incredibly affectionate and social. She approaches not only familiar people but also strangers, gently leaning in for pets and attention.   She loves both men and women and does well with children under 13. She is comfortable being handled — you can even lift her with your arms under her belly — and once she bonds, she happily rolls over for belly rubs.   Her social skills are truly wonderful — she loves people!   Social with Other Dogs Honey is friendly and outgoing with other dogs, including new ones. She enjoys greeting and inviting them to play, especially dogs her size or smaller.   She is a very sweet girl — even when another dog adores her a little too much and gets playful or clingy, she tolerates it patiently. Currently, she and Samdol have matching energy levels and instantly start wrestling and playing when they make eye contact.   Even if another dog tries to provoke her, she tends to avoid conflict and walk away.   Cats She has not been introduced to cats yet, but cat testing can be arranged.   Energy Level Moderate energy. Honey enjoys outdoor activities and playtime but settles nicely and relaxes calmly afterward.   Walks She appears to have good walking experience and follows people well. Occasionally, if she wants to go in a certain direction, she may pull a little stubbornly — but she is very manageable and responds well to guidance.   Additional Notes No food guarding toward people or dogs No separation anxiety, though she loves being close to people May bark briefly when first separated but settles quickly Mild demand barking at times Calm in kennel Primarily outdoor potty   Honey is a loving, social, and gentle Labrador who simply wants to be close to her people.   If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who enjoys both playtime and cozy downtime, Honey may be the perfect addition to your family. Story
Clover is a calm, playful, and affectionate large lab‑mix girl. She loves playing with other dogs, going for walks, and being surrounded by people or canine friends. She was abandoned in the neighborhood and spent her days alone—hungry, sleeping in the park, and in danger from traffic and people who wanted to poison her for searching through trash. Once her rescuer began feeding her, Clover waited every day until she was finally brought inside. She adapted beautifully to a home with 14 dogs and 5 cats.Clover is a natural leader who enjoys attention, short walks, and staying close to her humans. She can be nervous at the vet but does well with reassurance. She is clean indoors, loves her own bed, and thrives on companionship. Her ideal home has a yard, other dogs, children, and people who won’t leave her alone for long. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
Meet Samdol Age: 1 year Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Labrador Retriever / Jindo Mix Color: Beige Weight: 23.4 kg (51.5 lbs) Height: 53 cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story Samdol was previously kept tied up as a farm guard dog. After being surrendered by his former owner, he is now ready for a fresh start with a loving family and a life of freedom.   ‍‍‍ Social with People Samdol is incredibly affectionate and friendly. He approaches not only familiar people but also strangers with ease, rubbing against them and happily accepting pets.   He loves both men and women and is gentle with children under 13. He allows full handling — you can even lift him by placing your arms under his belly. Once he feels comfortable, he’ll roll over and show his belly for rubs.   Social with Other Dogs Samdol is friendly and social with other dogs, including new ones. He enjoys greeting them and inviting them to play, especially dogs of similar size.   He handles higher-energy dogs well. If another dog makes him uncomfortable, he may give a quick “woof!” to set a boundary, but with human guidance he redirects easily and walks away.   Cats He previously lived in an environment with four cats and did not show strong reactions indoors. However, during walks he has shown some chasing instinct toward cats. Cat testing can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level Moderate energy. Samdol enjoys outdoor activities and playtime , but once exercise is done, he settles nicely and rests calmly at home.   Walks He has been walked since puppyhood and is generally comfortable on leash. Because he spent much of his life tied and hasn’t had frequent walks at the center, he can get very excited at the start of walks and may pull ahead. With consistent, structured walks in a home environment, this is expected to improve beautifully.   Additional Notes No food guarding toward people or dogs No separation anxiety — comfortable being alone Rarely barks Calm and well-behaved in a kennel Primarily outdoor potty trained   Samdol is a sweet, affectionate boy who has so much love to give. After spending much of his early life tied up, he deserves a family who will give him stability, guidance, and warmth.   If you’re looking for a loyal, friendly companion with a balanced energy level, Samdol may be your perfect match.
