Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. In foster in Lacey, WA with two cats and two other dogs TOMMY is a beautiful super friendly and loving maybe Lab mix maybe some pit? (estimated DOB 6/25/25), neutered male. . He will probably get to be 45-60#s when grown. TOMMY sees life as a playground filled with fun, fun, fun. He is smart and loves toys of all kind… but his favorite is water. That must be the Lab in him. In Texas he was put in a pen with 2 other pups his size and his age and they had not been exposed to a swimming pool. It took all of 10 mins and he had them jumping in and playing like fish. He kept after them to run and chase and jump into the water. that was in TX. Now that he is here in WA and it is cold, we haven't had him in water other than rain! Tommy will make a great family pet. He loves people … of all ages and size. Don’t miss out on this opportunity. He uses the dog door and potties outside... but he is still a puppy and he could need a refresher a bit when going to a new home. Last two photos are from when Tommy was a younger puppy. Check out our YouTube Video: This video is when Tommy was younger and in rescue in Texas. https://youtu.be/-LwAdR5eEuk Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. ZIGGY is adorable…a real BIG TEDDY BEAR Lover. He is probably a Lab/Boxer mix. DOB 7/2/21 (4 yrs old). He weighs 78#...and is definitely 10-15# overweight. He needs less food and more exercise. Ziggy is a big boy but very affectionate. He is crate trained and house trained. He does well on the leash…but occasionally will pull when he’s interested in things. He loves being with other dogs…very playful. He ignores the cat. He loves all people that come up to him. He needs an active family and older children… 10+ ...to throw the ball and give him exercise. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
In foster near Tumwater, WA Lab/Hound is the closest breed we can guess on her, She is house trained! .10-12 months of age the vet guessed. Pita is a gentle, maybe a year-old Lab/Hound mix who has come a long way since being rescued from a hoarding situation in Texas. Now safe in a loving foster home near Olympia, she’s discovering what it means to feel secure, cared for, and part of a family. She is potty trained! This sweet girl is on the shy side and can be slow to warm up to new people—although some people she is comfortable with asap!. Understandable given her past—but once she trusts you, she blossoms into an affectionate, playful friendly, loyal companion who loves nothing more than curling up next to someone on the couch. She looks like she wakes up and puts on eyeliner every morning and can melt your heart with her big brown eyes. Pita currently lives with two children (ages 5 and 9) and has been gentle and patient in her foster home. Still, because of her timid nature, she would thrive perhaps in a quieter environment with adults or older kids who can give her the calm, steady reassurance she needs. She also tested fine with cats in Texas. She walks well on a front clip harness. If you’re looking for a soft-hearted, soulful dog who just needs a little time and love to shine, Pita may be the perfect match. She’s ready to start her new life—could it be with you? This is the link to apply to adopt. https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/ Currently ALL dogs we have posted from Lufkin-Kurth Texas are not only human and dog friendly but cat friendly too! She is not totally 1`00% confident yet, so perhaps no toddlers who can run/scream, perhaps older children which would be a calmer home. Likely she would adore being with another dog. We were informed Bo is his brother. Many dogs are impossible to say the breeds but it is anyone's guess. As we know, mutts statistically speaking will live longer and have less vet bills!. All of our Lufkin Kurth Texas dogs were hand selected and are literally their favorites. Everyone who has adopted adores their dogs. She will totally win you over. , Please do apply!!! All our dogs are spay/neutered, current on DHPP and rabies shots, microchipped, tested hw negative, so all of that is done. Our adoptions include professional dog rescue transport to WA and health certificates (vet visit just prior to coming to WA). Any questions, please email us at shaynesrescue@gmail.com Best to include your phone number and good times to call too!

Story
Teddy has been fostered with us for about 9 weeks but we are hoping to find him his forever home. He is about 1 years old, 55lbs, a sweet, playful & energetic boy! Teddy would thrive in a home that can offer patience, structure, and love as he continues to mature. With consistency, he’ll make a loyal and affectionate companion. He would do best in a home where he can be the primary focus—ideally as the only dog—or in a home with another young, active dog whose energy level matches his. While Teddy is friendly with other animals, he’s still very puppy-like, he may overwhelm older or calmer dogs. Teddy has done well around younger kids but still is learning his own size.

Story
Foggy is a stunning, spirited young lady who made an incredible journey — from the sunny beaches of Mexico all the way to the forests of the Pacific Northwest — in search of her forever family. With her velvety-soft fur and sparkling, curious eyes, she’s sure to capture hearts everywhere she goes. This adventurous girl is full of life and loves being in the middle of the action. Whether it’s a rowdy game of tug-of-war, a romp in the yard, or simply joining in on family fun, Foggy is happiest when she’s busy and engaged. She thrives on human companionship and would love an active family who will make her part of their everyday adventures. Because of her enthusiasm, Foggy would do best in a home with kids 12+ (she may get a little too excited for the smaller ones). A securely fenced yard is a must for her zoomies and outdoor play — apartment living just isn’t her style. She can also be vocal when excited or seeking attention, so a family who understands her spirited nature will be the best fit. Foggy is brimming with love and energy, and she’s eager to learn. With continued training and guidance, she’ll channel her zest for life into being the best companion anyone could ask for. If you’re looking for an affectionate, adventurous, and lively addition to your family, Foggy just might be your perfect match! Thanks to a generous sponsor, her adoption fee has been reduced. Our adoption process and application can be found at - https://www.sunnyskysshelter.org/our-adoption-process Note: Breed descriptions are provided as a general estimate based on the dog's size, shape, and appearance. These descriptions are not definitive and should be considered a "guestimate."
