Story
Chase is a 10yr old Lab/Pit dog. He is house trained, sweet and smart. Great with children. He is active and full of energy. He is 85 lbs. It is hard to give him up but I moved to a small apartment so he is cooped up the whole day at my place where he couldn’t move around much and there is so much rules and regulations in this complex. He loves to play catch with tennis balls.. we used to play in our old house with a big backyard. Chase love dog treats and he eats big bowl of kibbles 2x a day We got him at Tacoma Humane Society when he was 1 year old. His birthday is October 2, 2015. He is healthy and strong and loving. However he has a lumpy-fat on his tummy area..it is benign and he is not bothered by it at all, but his Vet suggested it to be removed eventually. He hates car rides. I think he had a certain trauma when he was a pup. He is noisy and anxious in the car. Hoping to find a new owner who will love him and care for him despite the flaws….

Story
Buddy needs a new foster or adopter ASAP. Buddy is sweet and a bit anxious. He loves playing and relaxing. He is flexible and patient in the morning. Most days, he gets a walk and/or 1-2 fetch sessions. He loves a PB kong when the humans leave the house. Without it, he has a bit of separation anxiety. He used to howl when left alone, but doesn’t do that anymore. He sleeps on his bed on the floor or under the bed at night. He is house-trained, knows “Sit”, “Lay down/Down”, and is learning “No begging” and “Out of the Kitchen”. He has been crate-trained, but does well without. He would do best in a quiet home with people who understand and respect him. He has lived with other dogs but would do best as an Only Dog, as he resource guards his food, treats, and sometimes his people. He likes kids but would do best in a home with no kids, or kids old enough to understand and respect him. His prey drive is high, so no cats. He is microchipped.

Story
Pluto came into my life after my previous dog passed away. While he could never replace him, he helped bring life and happiness back into the house. Pluto has been a great dog—loyal, loving, and always happy to be around. Now with our first baby on the way, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to rehome him. It’s not because of anything he’s done wrong. Pluto deserves the time, attention, and space that we may not be able to give him with a newborn. This decision hasn’t been easy, but we want what’s best for him. Pluto has been an important part of our lives, and we’ll always appreciate the time we had with him. We hope he finds a home where he will continue to be loved and cared for.

Story
Meet Ciro! 🐾 Ciro is a handsome 1-year-old black Lab mix, weighing 39 lbs. He’s neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to find an active, loving home. Ciro’s story began as a frightened puppy, found running down a street with scratches on his back legs—likely from narrowly avoiding a car. Despite this rough start, Ciro has grown into a friendly, playful, and energetic dog who loves life. He enjoys walks, playing with balls, and socializing with other dogs. Ciro is good with children 10 years or older, as he can play a little rough at times. He learns quickly and adapts well, though he may bark at dogs when first meeting them. He is still cautious around bicycles and people on roller vehicles like skates or skateboards. Ciro’s habits and skills: House trained (patio or during walks) Sleeps comfortably in his kennel Ok with cats, but may want to play as he does with dogs Protects his food and prefers eating inside his kennel Ciro is looking for a patient, active family who can provide love, guidance, and fun adventures. With the right home, he’ll thrive and be the loyal, joyful companion every family dreams of.

Story
I got Ox when he was just a tiny baby, around 4–6 weeks old, from someone with puppies in South Carolina when I was living there. He has been with me ever since. He is currently 4 years old and will be turning 5 on July 15, 2026. Ox is truly a lover boy. He is affectionate, loyal, and thrives on attention and companionship. He has a lot of energy, so he would do best with someone active who enjoys walks, playtime, and spending quality time together. I’m looking for a new home that is patient, sweet, and understanding—someone who has the time and commitment to give him the love and attention he deserves. He would do best in a home where he isn’t left alone for long periods and can continue to feel like part of the family. He is loving, energetic, affectionate, and full of personality. Ox deserves a home where he can continue to be someone’s best friend.

Story
Scrappy is a 9-year-old black lab looking for a home where he can get plenty of love and attention. He’s a loyal dog who enjoys being around people and having space to move around. Like most labs, he enjoys being outside and being part of the daily routine. He’s currently being cared for by family, but we’re hoping to find him a home where he can get the time and companionship he deserves. Scrappy would do great with someone who wants a laid-back companion and appreciates an older dog with lots of love left to give.
