Story
These litter mates are 7 months old, born on January 19th, 2026. Their names are Lydia(female) and Farley(male). They are great puppies and can follow without a lease, sit on command and love to be around their owner all day. I have done some crate training and this adoption would come with 2 large crates to continue these efforts since they are puppies and love to chew on anything they can get their teeth on. Would like to keep them together so they can continue their lives as a pair. Me and my husband are divorcing and having to sell our home so unfortunately will not be able to care for them any longer. They are so loving and I wish it didnt have to be this way. I hope they can find a forever home with a big very secured yard and with a family that always has someone home for them to be with. They have had all their shots but have not yet been spayed and neutered. They love chew toys and a healthy diet of 2 meals a day of a hard and soft food combo. Please message me for more info.

Story
THELMA HAS WAITED MORE THAN THREE YEARS. COULD YOU BE HER PERSON? 💛 Meet Thelma—the sweetest little “Tootsie Roll” with the biggest heart and is the biggest social bug around. 🐾 At 8–9 years old and around 55 lbs and shrinking, Thelma is an American Staffordshire Terrier mix who may look like a Pittie/Rottie cross, but her personality is pure love. She is mellow, affectionate, incredibly well-mannered, and happiest when she is close to her people. And those ears? They just show her personality all the time. Thelma is the wonderful combination of mature and playful. She loves walks, is nearly perfect on leash, can still enjoy a 3-mile hike, and occasionally breaks out into the cutest zoomies. But she is equally happy curling up on the couch and watching a ball game or hockey with you. She has thrived in foster care and is: ✔️ Crate trained ✔️ Potty trained ✔️ Great in the car ✔️ Excellent on leash ✔️ Very obedient and easygoing ✔️ Wonderful with most dogs ✔️ Comfortable going to work with her person She loves people, loves attention, and has a remarkable ability to sense when someone is anxious or upset. Thelma has a special gift for providing comfort—she'll lean in, snuggle close, and offer the kind of deep-pressure cuddles that make everything feel just a little better. ❤️ 💔 But Thelma has a history that matters. Before she was rescued, Thelma spent more than a year fenced outside an empty foreclosed home. She knows what it feels like to be abandoned, and that experience has left her with some separation anxiety. She is crate trained, but when left alone she needs some support—typically a frozen peanut-butter Kong, the TV on, and prescribed medication (Trazodone) to help her remain calm for a few hours. Because of this, Thelma is not a good fit for a home where she would routinely be left alone all day, such as 8 AM–6 PM. She would thrive with someone who works from home, can take her along, or otherwise has a lifestyle that allows her to spend plenty of time with her person. Thelma has already shown just how well she can do in that environment—she has gone to work every day with a veterinary technician and been wonderful around all kinds of animals. 🥰 Thelma would do best as an only pet or potentially with a calm male dog after proper introductions. Because she can be enthusiastic when greeting her favorite people, a home with older children would be best. 🥺 Three years. Three years of watching other dogs go home. Three years of loving the people around her. Three years of waiting for someone to look at her and say, “You're the one.” Somehow, through all of that, Thelma still greets the world with a wagging tail, happy wiggles, a huge smile, and an incredible capacity to love. She doesn't need a perfect family. She needs her family. Someone who understands that her past is part of her story—but doesn't have to define her future. Someone who wants a devoted companion for walks, adventures, couch time, road trips, game days, and an unlimited supply of snuggles. Someone who will never make her wonder if she's being abandoned again. If you're looking for a loyal best friend, an adventure buddy, a world-class cuddle companion, and a dog who will love you with her entire heart… Please consider Thelma. ❤️

Story
CODY is the sweetest, high energy 2-year-old male, tan and white ‘short-stack’ terrier mix. Cody urgently needs a patient foster or adopter to help him with basic training and some anxiety. He is a very loving and affectionate boy and would really benefit from a calm living situation with few stairs and perhaps another dog. But hes working on that too. Cody currently is fearful of stairs Cody has a charming smile and friendly personality that wins over humans and fellow canines. He loves to play! Cody is a great size at only 47lbs. Cody listens well and is working on his basic commands. He loves everyone he meets. Cody walks well on a leash and enjoys running around and playing with others. He definitely needs a good long walk or playtime with others. Cody has been around older kids and has done great with them. Cody would also benefit from a home with a yard. He’s not been around cats that we know of, but has done well with larger livestock. Cody benefits from puzzle games and has no problem with his crate. Cody is quiet in the house and also working on perfecting his house training. He would love an adopter that’s daily exercise was running or walking. Cody currently is in the Portland area but transported is easily arranged. He is neutered, up-to-date with vaccinations, flea and tick prevention given, heartworm tested (negative) and micro-chipped. Please email cynthia@pawsforliferescue.net and please include your number for more information and an application. Cody needs you to be the best boy ever!

This pet is part of a boned pair! https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/48883373-puyallup-washington-labrador-retriever-schnauzer-giant-mixZeus and Zeke are looking for a home together. These two are best friends and are very bonded, so separating them would be extremely hard on both of them. They are sweet, loving dogs who are crate trained, house trained, good with kids and good with other dogs. They love being part of the family, playing together, and then settling down near their people. If you’ve ever thought about adopting two dogs, these two make it easy because they already know each other, love each other, and keep each other company. ❤️We are rehoming them because our household circumstances have changed and we can no longer give them the situation they deserve. This is not because of aggression or behavioral problems. Finding them a safe, loving home together is incredibly important to us.

Story
Ox is a 2+ year old Labraheeler. His birthday is April 29, 2024. His mom is a blue heeler and his dad a Labrador retriever. Ox loves to go for walks and is well behaved on them. He also loves to play ball in the yard. Ox is house trained and has not had an accident since he was a young puppy. He is also crate trained and if you give him the command "take a break" he will willfully go lay down in his crate. He has slept in his crate his entire life and does not make a sound during bed time. He is up to date on all of his shots and does very well at the vet and at the groomer.
