Story
🐾 Looking for a loving home 🐾 This is Tyberius (Nugget), an almost 6-year-old boxer/lab mix who weighs about 70 pounds. He is friendly, loyal, playful, and does well with kids/dogs/cats. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows basic commands. We’re rehoming due to moving, and we want to find the best possible home where Tyberius will be loved and cared for. Ideal home: yard, active family, other dogs Tyberius is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and in good health. He does have a chicken allergy so he gets lamb dog food. Please message me with a little about yourself and your home if you’re interested ❤️

Story
FOGGY's Story Est. DOB: 12/02/2023 Weight: 50lbs Adoption fee: $99 She Traveled Far for Love — Could You Be Foggy’s Forever? Foggy is a stunning, spirited young lady who made an incredible journey — from the sunny beaches of Mexico all the way to the forests of the Pacific Northwest — in search of her forever family. With her velvety-soft fur and sparkling, curious eyes, she’s sure to capture hearts everywhere she goes. This adventurous girl is full of life and loves being in the middle of the action. Whether it’s a rowdy game of tug-of-war, a romp in the yard, or simply joining in on daily activities around the home, Foggy is happiest when she’s busy and engaged — but she also settles down nicely once her needs are met. She thrives on human companionship and would love an active, adult-only home that will make her part their family and maybe play some fetch in the back yard. Foggy has a crooked front foot, which doesn’t seem to bother her at all and doesn’t slow her down. Maintaining a healthy weight — and possibly shedding a few extra pounds — may help her feel even more comfortable long-term. Because of her enthusiasm and excitement, Foggy is best suited for a home without children. She is also dog selective and would do best as the only dog or with a carefully matched canine companion. A securely fenced yard is a must for her zoomies and outdoor play — apartment living just isn’t her style. She can be vocal when excited or seeking attention, so a family who understands and appreciates her spirited nature will be the best fit. Foggy is brimming with love and energy, and she’s eager to learn. With continued training and guidance, she’ll channel her zest for life into being an amazing companion. If you’re looking for an affectionate and lively addition to your home, Foggy just might be your perfect match! Thanks to a generous sponsor, her adoption fee has been reduced. (Adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate current vaccines, microchip, and preventative flea treatment.) Foggy will not be at our adoption events, but will be available for a private meet and greet once application is approved. Story
Hi! My name is Ace 🐾I live with my mom, my baby human brother, and my two dog brothers. I’m a super active guy who loves playing fetch (seriously I could do it all day!), swimming, and being outside whenever possible. If you’re looking for an adventure buddy, I’m your dog!I would do best in a home where I’m the only pet. I am protective over my food and toys and don’t like to share. My mom wants to make sure I’m in a safe and loving environment where I can thrive o I need an owner who understands my boundaries and can help me continue to learn and feel secure. The good news is, I love humans and have always gotten along with every one of them I’ve met! I’m loyal and loving with my people. If you love dogs and have a little patience with meI could be your guy! Oh yea I just turned 3 too!

Story
Phineas is a young, energetic guy who is ready to find an active, dog-savvy home to call his own. If you’re looking for a hiking buddy or an adventure partner, Phineas is your guy! He thrives when he has an outlet for both his physical energy and his smart, eager mind.Phineas is best suited for an experienced dog owner who is comfortable continuing his training and providing structure. He already has a great foundation. He knows sit, shake, down, and stay, and is currently working on “place.” With consistency and guidance, he has all the potential to grow into an incredible companion. We highly recommend his future family be open to working with a trainer to help him continue building those skills. At the shelter, Phineas participates in playgroup and enjoys a rough-and-tumble playstyle. He would likely do best in a home with another young, active dog who can match his energy and play style. He especially seems to enjoy female dogs.Phineas has been around cats but shows a strong interest in chasing them, so a feline-free home would be the best fit. Due to his energy level and play style, he is also best suited for a home with teens and adults, as small children may be overwhelming for him.Phineas is looking for a committed, active home that will continue to invest in his training and provide him with the structure and outlets he needs to thrive. If you’re ready for a fun, smart, and adventurous companion, come meet Phineas todaySend an email to frontdesk@auburnvalleyhs.org for more information or to set up a meet & greet. Stop by the shelter during regular business hours to visit available pets. AVHS is open 6 days a week 11am-6pm, closed Sundays, adoptions wrap up at 5:30pm each day
