Story
We prefer Daisy to be adopted with Duke. This chill duo were abandoned by their previous owner and are estimated to be 4 years old. Desert Willow took them in and immediately fell in love with them because it's impossible not to! Daisy and Duke are the most laid-back pups at the rescue. They are marginally interested in exercise, Duke more so than Daisy, and they enjoy a nice stroll to explore and sniff around. Their ideal activity, however, is cuddling up on the couch and showering you with kisses. They are wonderful with children! As excellent students, they are picking up on their training skills very quickly. They are both described by everyone as being so sweet and gentle. Daisy adores belly rubs, and will happily present her belly to anyone who may rub it! Duke loves beds – oh so much. He is very resourceful and will carry his bed around with him so that it’s always handy for a good nap. They are the perfect pair if you're looking for chill, kissy cuddlers. They offer an instant canine family.... just add you! No cats please. Reach out if you're interested!! Located in: Dane County, WI _____ Desert Willow Ranch and Rescue https://www.desertwillow.org/

Story
Meet Juno! She is a very energetic 1 year old girl who was rescued from a severe abuse and neglect situation in Lubbock, TX. She was found chained on a short chain in her backyard and was only 25lbs (she is 45lbs now and still has weight to gain!). Now, she is here at Desert Willow learning about freedom and love. She has done amazing with people and kids and is bursting at the seams with joy and love. She RUNS whenever she can, throws toys in the air and chases them, cuddles passionately and just wants to find her human. She may need to be an only dog at this point as she has had some bad experiences it appears, but she will be your true companion. She would be ideal for someone who is active and possibly enjoys hiking, running, and/or swimming. Come meet her! She is always ready to meet you! Story
***** Onyx has been at the shelter longer than we would like so he is a member of our Lonely Hearts Club and his adoption fee has been reduced to $100. *****Hi there, I`m Onyx! I`m an eager, playful, affectionate adult dog looking for my new home. I`m a lovey, cuddly guy who loves pets. I`ll be your second shadow and will be sure to follow wherever you lead! I love friends -- sometimes I get really excited and greet them a little too enthusiastically, so I be a better fit for a family who can manage jumpiness. I love to romp and play, so I hope we can play with some of my favorite toys together. Oh, and I won`t say no to a few tasty treats! I like to be right in the action and hang out with my family - so I’m looking for a family where I would be the only animal in the home. Then the only thing I have to share is all of my love with you! I`m sweet and loyal, and will be a great addition to a loving home. I`m a distinguished gentleman: I can listen well, and I`ll be on my best behavior. I need a home where I can be the center of attention -- I won`t do well with other pets. I hope you`ll come say hi!Size: ~100 lbsMedical History: I have a mass on my eyelid that should be monitored for changes, but other than that, I appear to be a healthy pup! It`s always a good idea to set up an appointment with my new vet soon, so that we can meet and make plans to keep me happy and healthy!Adoption Fee: $100

Meet Zorro! Zorro is the only boy in his litter—and he definitely makes it memorable! This goofy little guy keeps everyone laughing with his playful antics and happy-go-lucky personality. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, loving puppy to brighten your days, Zorro is your boy! All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. Story
Tonks is a 7.5 year old Black lab mix who has been with me since she was 4 months old. She is a timid but very sweet dog. She has always had anxiety and recently began taking medication for that due to her behavior around our new baby (growling). That behavior has increased now that our son is moving around independently. For that reason, we'd say that Tonks should not go to a home where there are young kids. Tonks previously lived with cats and loved them, although she was sometimes a little protective of her things, but never did more than grumble at them. She currently lives with another dog and they love playing together, but Tonks still has some poor behaviors when it comes to sharing. She has never been aggressive (she's all growl, no bite), but her behavior can incite other pets. She can live with other pets but may do best as a sole pet in a home. We are sad to rehome Tonks, but hope to find her a quieter, calmer home where she can be happier. Happy to answer any questions!
