Story
Murphy is a sweet, gentle puppy who’s still learning that the world is a safe and happy place. A little shy sometimes, he takes his time getting to know new people, but once he does, his soft, loving personality really starts to shine. Right now, Murphy is a little unsure about rowdy or jumpy does, but he is still learning the ways of the world! With his sensitive nature he would do best in a home that has the space he will need to build the confidence at his own pace. Come meet this sweet loving boy at our Adoption Center! Weight: 35 lbs.Medical: I appear to be a healthy puppy, but its best to take me to my new vet soon so we can get to know each other!Adoption fee: $475+ tax

Story
Hi everyone! My name is Grayson, and I’m a curious little adventurer who loves to explore. New sights, sounds, and smells are my favorite things, and I’m always ready to investigate what’s around me. I can be a bit silly sometimes, especially when something catches my attention and makes me tilt my head. I’m hoping to find a family that will nurture my curiosity while helping me grow into a confident companion. In return, I promise plenty of laughs and affection!Recommendations: Monitor when eating and consider feeding separately from other pets.Weight: ~ 21.3 lbsMedical: Grayson is a healthy puppy but it is always a good idea to introduce them to their new vet for a full check-up. Story
Amy is an adorable black Lab mix with a personality as charming as her signature little bob tail! She came to us from our partners at Ozarks Pet Rescue, after being confiscated from a home in Arkansas. Despite her tough start, Amy is full of life, love, and tail-wagging (or nub-wiggling!) happiness. Amy is playful, friendly, and always excited to be part of the action. She loves spending time with her people, romping around with other dogs, and exploring the world with curious enthusiasm. Her cute bob tail somehow makes every happy wiggle even more endearing, you really have to see it to believe it! She is dog, cat, and kid friendly, and would make a wonderful addition to many types of homes. Amy is currently working on crate training and building her basic manners, and she’ll thrive with a family committed to helping her continue to learn and grow. With her affectionate nature, playful spirit, and one-of-a-kind look, Amy is sure to steal hearts wherever she goes. If you’re looking for a fun, loving companion with a little extra charm, Amy is your girl! 🐾 All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. Story
Meet Bolt Three years ago Bolt was found as a homeless starving puppy in Amman, Jordan. (Many dogs in this country are treated poorly and treated like vermin, so Bolt was lucky that a kind-hearted man rescued him.) The gentleman (whose name is Ahmad) was shocked to discover that someone had injured Bolt so badly that he could only open his mouth about 1/8 of an inch. Bolt couldn’t chew, bark, pant or defend himself. And the only way he could eat was to push tiny bits of soft food (between his front teeth) using his “wrist”. So Ahmad sent Bolt to a doctor who claimed he could fix Bolt’s broken jaw. But sadly, the surgery was not done properly, so it was unsuccessful. Ahmad wanted to do everything he could to see that Bolt had a chance at a happy, normal life. So he saved his money for two years until he finally was able to pay for Bolt’s very expensive flight( from Jordan) to our small special needs rescue (One Starfish Rehoming Connections) in Wisconsin. The 24 hr. flight was very traumatic for Bolt, so it took a few weeks for him to recover. But after he settled in, we scheduled Bolt’s surgery (to be done by Dr. John Silbernagel, a well-renowned Board Certified orthopedic veterinary surgeon in Madison, Wi.) Fortunately, this surgery was a success!!!! Although Bolt's face is still a little bit "askew" (we think it makes him look all the more charming) he no longer has any special needs. And he is now able to open his mouth and do all the “doggie” things that dogs do—chewing on bones, panting, barking, etc. Bolt has endured a lot of suffering, but he is still a very sweet, quiet laid-back fellow who LOVES to “shake hands” with everyone he meets! Bolt is ready for a new beginning—with an adopter who will love him and care for him for the rest of his life. He would prefer not to be a latchkey dog (so an adopter who works from home, is retired, or just works part time would be ideal). We hope to find an adopter who is just the right fit for Bolt. (We are, admittedly going to be fussy.) But, if you think you are the perfect match for our “almost-perfect” dog, please e-mail us at: sylvialovesme@gmail.com and tell us about yourself, your family, your daily schedule, if you have other pets, etc. Then, if it sounds like Bolt would be a good fit for you, we will send you an application and we’ll then try to arrange a meet-and-greet.
