Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Hera! This gorgeous fluffy girl is a Maine Coon (mom was purebred Maine Coon and dad was 1/3 Maine Coon). She has the good looks and awesome personality the breed is known for. She is incredibly affectionate and friendly and loves everyone she meets. She has a dog-like personality and wants nothing more than to sit with you and be pet. She gets along great all the other cats and dogs at her foster home- a true friend of everyone! She has very long, thick fur that gets easily matted (she had to have some mats shaved off when she arrived at DPR). So she will definitely need someone who is committed to brushing and grooming her regularly to keep her comfortable. She is a stunning cat who captures the hearts of everyone who meets her!  This cat is spayed, microchipped, up to date on distemper and rabies vaccinations, dewormings, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is on flea/tick preventative and ear mite preventative. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a 'Cat Adoption Application'   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms       Adoption fee is: $300 Can’t adopt? Consider donating! We are in need of cat food, litter, and enrichment items for the kitties in our care!    Links to our Amazon and Chewy wishlists: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/QFBUQI1CQBCZhttps://chewygivesback.prf.hn/click/camref:1100lkBUr/destination:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.chewy.com%2Fg%2Fdelaware-pet-rescue_b88829590 If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a 'Cat Adoption Application'   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms    This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as 'available for adoption', that means the animal is still in DPR's care. *Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up 'curb side'. Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *     DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:  Initial vet visit Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)Distemper vaccinationSNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart wormBroad spectrum dewormers Monthly flea/tick preventative Ear mite preventative The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. Story
Tiger was given to me from a deceased relative. But i truly can't accomodate her. Tiger is truly a great cat. Her only short coming is she struggles with potty training. It truly saddens me i can't keep her. Im praying i can find a loving patient home for her. She was raised with a dog and cat and gets along well with both. Great with children! Extremely friendly. Hopefully Tiger can find her forever family.

Story
Zima is the definition of a gentle little wallflower. She’s shy at first and tends to hide while she figures things out, but underneath that cautious exterior is a sweet, sensitive kitten who just needs someone patient enough to let her bloom at her own pace.Once she feels safe, Zima shows her softer side through quiet companionship. She loves bird watching from the window and will happily curl up beside you in bed at night. She’s completely docile and tolerant of nail trims and brushing, making her an easygoing companion even when she’s feeling timid.Zima would do best starting out in a small space like a bathroom or bedroom while she adjusts to her new home and people. Having time to settle in slowly will help her confidence grow tremendously. She absolutely adores other cats and feels safest with feline friends around, so a multicat home would be ideal for her. Watching her little personality emerge around other kitties is seriously heart melting. If you’re the kind of person who understands that love sometimes takes time, Zima is ready to reward your patience with affection, tiny moments of trust, and the sweetest companionship.

Story
Lulu is a super-soft long-haired floof with the confidence of a queen and the heart of a cuddle bug. Lulu commands the room wherever she goes, but she is also incredibly sweet and snuggly. Her favorite place in the world is lounging on your lap, purring away and making biscuits or grooming your arm (so thoughtful!). When she wants a snack, attention, or just to chat, she’ll let out the cutest high-pitched little meow.Lulu is extremely food-motivated, likes belly rubs (!), and never says no to catnip toys, Churu, or a good brushing session. If you’re looking for a fearless, communicative, affectionate companion with main-character energy and endless floof, Lulu is ready to take over your home - and your heart.

Story
Buck is an extremely social little Floof. He was abandoned and came into our care with a severe hernia often we see l injuries like this after a cat is kicked. But he never wavered in his devotion to humans! His finders found him hiding in their grill and whiskered him into rescue with his sister Hazel! He is a lap cat for sure and suspected to be under a year old. He has recovered from his hernia surgery with out a hitch and he seems to be getting fluffier by the day!
