Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Fanta may be missing a lot of body parts (a leg, a tail, an ear), but she is the absolute SWEETEST lovable lap cat you'll ever meet! She is only 2 years old, but she's had a rough time up until now! We don't know a whole lot about her back story, but we were told that her family threw her outside and then moved and left her behind. A neighbor who witnessed this reached out to ask if we could take her in, and of course we said yes. That's a harsh story for any cat, but even more so for Fanta who only has 3 legs and has trouble getting around. We don't know how she lost her leg, her tail, and her ear, but our vet said they were definitely injuries, she was not born like this. She was outside in this freezing cold, fending for herself. Now she is in a loving foster home where she has plenty of cozy cat beds (including a heated cat bed which she loves!) She LOVES people and wants nothing more than to snuggle up on your lap and be pet. She likes being carried around and even enjoys belly rubs! She rolls over as soon as she sees you. She kind of scoots/hops around and cannot jump, but she is perfect with using her litter box. Stairs might be difficult for her, but she'd be more than happy to be carried up and down them. She is scared of other animals (the vet thinks that at least her ear injury was most likely caused by another cat), she really can't defend herself or run away, so we think she'd be happiest as an only pet where she can get all the love and attention! She loves the children at her foster home (and all their friends who come over to visit her and give her lots of love). We are always amazed by animals like Fanta, who were so wronged by humans and yet remain so joyful, affectionate and friendly. Her luck has definitely turned around and she is excited to embark in this new chapter! She is an amazing cat and will make a wonderful addition to your home!  This cat is spayed, microchipped, up to date on distemper and rabies vaccinations, dewormings, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is on flea/tick preventative and ear mite preventative. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Mountain Dew missed the bus! Meet Mountain Dew, a silly little 5 month old kitten who should have been available for adoption last month! He was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina and was staying at a loving foster home with his other kitty friends while they waited for transport up to Delaware Pet Rescue. On transport day, a dozen kitties (including Mountain Dew, or so we thought), were loaded up into crates and picked up by our awesome transporter. Then a couple hours later, guess who comes sauntering into the living room - you guessed it - Mountain Dew! We aren't sure how he missed the bus, but he did, and he seemed proud of himself about it! This time, we double and triple checked to make sure he was indeed on the transport bus, and he arrived safe and sound! He is such a friendly and outgoing kitten who just loves to be pet, loves to be held and loves to play. He is great with other cats, dogs and kids. He slept in his foster mom's bed every night and is an A+ cuddler. We love him and we know you will too! Just make sure he doesn't somehow Houdini himself out of his crate when you come pick him up!  This cat is neutered, microchipped, up to date on distemper and rabies vaccinations, dewormings, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is on flea/tick preventative and ear mite preventative. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Oh my, there is so much to say about Barqs! He is so super friendly and affectionate! He loves everyone he meets. He's wonderful with all the cats and kittens he is being fostered with, plus he gets along great with dogs and absolutely loves children too! He wants to be pet and loved on more than anything. If you smack your lips he will hold his face up to you so you can kiss his nose. He also enjoys toys and playtime! He is about 1.5 years old and has very long, very soft fluffy hair. His hair gets easily matted, so he will need someone who is committed to keeping him brushed and groomed so he can be nice and comfortable! He was living outside in this horribly cold weather, and even though you'd think he'd be nice and warm with all that fur, he had fleas and had a very bad reaction to them which made his skin red and inflamed and resulted in quite a lot of hair loss. So he was outside in the snow with thin patchy hair and painful, sore skin - it was just heartbreaking. Thankfully we were able to take him in and got him treated for fleas, and immediately his skin started looking so much better, and it didn't take long for it to completely heal! His hair is growing back nicely, and he is healthy and comfortable now. He is such an awesome cat, and he's looking for a loving home.  This cat is neutered, microchipped, up to date on distemper and rabies vaccinations, dewormings, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is on flea/tick preventative and ear mite preventative.
