Story
Forever foster or adopter wanted! Pepper joined us from OC Animal care and was heavily neglected. He had an ulcerated mass removed, had spiders and other insects crawling out of his matted fur during grooming, and has dry eye. He has a few other masses, we are evaluating whether one large one can be removed. Due to his age and medical condition we are seeking a FORVER FOSTER for him in San Diego or Orange County. Thats means Lionel's Legacy will cover his medical care for life through our participating vets.Fill out an adoption application directly on our website at www.lionelslegacy.org

Story
Meet Orion! DOB: October 2022Weight: 18 lbsDisposition: Coy, Low-key, Observant Heavily matted and dirty when found, this poor boy had to be so uncomfortable with his knotted coat pulling at his skin. He was hesitant to be handled by people as there were probably few he could trust in his past. We took him to the groomer after allowing him to get settled in for a few days and this little guy is like a new man! He's enjoying pets and a compliant little guy.History: Exposed to parvo in the shelter and as a result at risk of euthanasia. Rescued by TBL in October 2025.Best Home: Amazing Qualities: If you're interested in meeting this dog, please visit our website to fill out an adoption application: www.thebarkinglot.net/adoptOur dogs are located in San Diego County, CA. We will happily consider out of town applications and can conduct virtual play dates with interested adopters. Story
Hash was adopted when he was 3 months old and is now 4 years old. He’s a sweet, friendly, playful boy who loves people and brings a lot of joy to everyone he meets. He enjoys playtime, attention, and being part of the action—whether that’s a walk around the neighborhood, a fun outing, or just hanging out with his humans. As our family has grown, our routines and available time have changed in ways we didn’t expect. This has been a difficult decision, and we’re only considering rehoming because we truly believe Hash deserves a home that can give him more consistent exercise, enrichment, and adventure than we’re able to provide right now. We want to find him a loving home where he can get plenty of daily playtime, regular walks, and opportunities to go out and explore. Our priority is finding the right match so he can thrive and continue being the happy, affectionate companion he is. Adoption fee covers his neuter and vaccinations
