?? BONDED PAIR — ENZO & EVEREST ??Enzo and Everest are two 9 year old little guys who have spent their lives together, and now they are looking for a forever home together.?? Enzo is a 9-pound Maltese, and Everest is a 7.5 pound toy Poodle. They were surrendered to our care when their elderly owner realized she had no one who could care for them if something happened to her. She clearly loved her boys and wanted to make sure they would always be safe.Sadly, Enzo and Everest had been living as outside dogs and had never experienced the comforts of living inside a home. Now that they have discovered soft beds, warmth, and indoor life, they absolutely love it! ??Both boys are happy little love bugs and have tested well with other dogs. Everest was also found to have an old, previously fractured jaw due to dental disease that has since healed. Because of this, he will need to remain on a soft food diet for the rest of his life, but it certainly doesn`t stop him from enjoying life.After spending their whole lives together, we want their next chapter to be together too. ?? He enjoys playing, exploring, getting attention from his people, and being right in the middle of whatever fun is happening. I am a little timid because I have not been around a lot of people or lived in a home as a pet. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The CSAC volunteer says that I am happy and friendly. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. I will need time to trust people who want what is best for me and are not going to hurt me. That is something I have not experienced so far in my life. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money.
