Story
My sweet Linnie 💗 Linnie is a 10 year old Maltese little lady who was time stamped at ACCT Philly. Her owners surrendered her to the shelter because it was obvious by her breath that she needed a dental and they said they could not afford it. The team at Zoe’s House, with the help of our wonderful community, got her free of the euthanasia list and into a loving foster home. She was determined to have a serious heart murmur but with medication, she was cleared to undergo surgery to be spayed and to have a dental where the diseased teeth were removed. It was also determined that Linnie has some mammary masses, likely from not being spayed early in her life, which are likely cancerous. Her heart and age caution against the prolonged surgery to remove these masses. Linnie is on a daily heart medication and gabapentin for any discomfort. Linnie is unbothered. She is a lady who knows what she likes and what she wants. She enjoys her meals, long naps thereafter and loving in between. She travels fabulously in the car and walks well on a leash. She loves a pup cup 😋She is house trained and cares not for the crate. She doesn’t need it. She is a true lady who is just hoping to enjoy her golden years close by her human. She is being fostered with other small dogs and tolerates respectful interaction but she would love to be the center of your eye and heart. She is a joy❤️ Linnie is being fostered in Collegeville, Montgomery County. A home visit and meet and greet with all residents is part of the application process. She is up to date with vaccines and preventatives. She is microchipped. Story
Hello, my name is: ElsaApprox. DOB: 12/26/2018Weight: 13.4 lbsSex/Breed: Spayed female Maltese/Poodle mixRescued From: Breeding kennelElsa has the most beautiful, flowing blond hair and the kindest eyes – we bet you’ll fall in love the moment you see her picture! After spending her life having puppies for profit, this little lady is more than ready to start the best years of her life. Being a house pet is still very new to Elsa, but she is doing her best to be brave. Her curiosity wins often in the home, and she’ll cautiously follow her foster mom around, though she is still shy when approached. Elsa is looking for a calm home with a resident dog (or more) to learn from and seek comfort with. She’d do best with a secure area outside for potty training and leash skills. Cats would be fine too. With a patient family willing to meet her where she is, we have no doubt she’ll start to blossom and become the devoted companion she is meant to be. Please help us find Elsa the loving home she’s been searching for!Help us continue to step up for dogs like Elsa and consider donating towards their medical care: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/donate-to-make-a-difference-in-animals-livesAll our dogs are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting? Story
JULIA was retired early, thankfully, from an Amish breeder because they were “switching breeds”. She is the sweetest little dog – very petite! Unfortunately, she has been handled roughly in the past and she is afraid of hands reaching for her. We’ve moved her into a foster home to help ease her fears but at this time, we feel should be best in an adult only home. Once you have her in your arms, she settles in and is relaxed. She is on her way to becoming housebroken and enjoys going out on leash in the fenced yard. She is a flight risk so we have not had her off leash – even recommend a leash dragging in the house until she feels comfortable. She is great with other dogs and fine with cats.  Since she is hard to pick up, we don’t feel like she would be a good match for somebody who is mobility challenged although she might benefit from a senior in the household who could spend long hours sitting with her. Please fill out an application at www.companimals.org if you feel you are a good fit for Julia. Puppy mill experience is a plus! If you haven’t fostered or adopted one in the past, please do your research before applying. Adoption $350January 7, 2026, 11:00 am

Story
DOB 1-8-2025 They don't come any cuter or sweeter then little Nina! This gorgeous girl is looking for her Mom, she is social, loves to play and gets along with the other littles. She is so pretty sporting her beautiful new summer cut! Nina's adoption fee is 800.00 and her transport is 165.00. She is all up to date on medical for her age. Our transport is HEARTS LLC, they leave every other week The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
