Happy is a 5-year-old, 19-pound Maltipoo with a gentle soul who loves walks, sunshine, and quiet afternoons. In Dec. 2024, Happy suffered a disc slip that temporarily paralyzed his back legs, but he made a great recovery. He lost some strength, but can still walk, run, and go potty as normal. Happy does experience anxiety and needs time to warm up to new people. He has shown fear-based behaviors and has bitten when feeling threatened. Because of this, he needs an experienced, patient adopter and a calm home, ideally without small children or frequent visitors. He would thrive with someone who understands anxious dogs and can provide structure, security, and gentle guidance. As we prepare to welcome a new family member, we are looking for a loving home where Happy can continue to thrive. If you think you are the right fit, we would love to hear from you.

NO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS / Northern California we will not adopt to at all. Needs to be local only -- to ORANGE County He is able to be in home by himself or with another dog is around 20-25 pounds. We will never accept a potential adopter who has a dog who weighs more then 40 pounds who are on large size such as 60 pound dog or event 80 pound dog for instance - half time we get these dogs from trauma we do not want to put them through more trauma then what they have been through in the past. He is potty trained, house trained, leash trained , older kids such as 8 and older he would probably do ok with. Cats unknown at this point-- We did see him interreacting with dogs he seems to be fine with other dogs. He kind of pup who will need adjustment , allow him to warm up to potential adopter on his terms since he is rescue dog. Nevertheless, only one applicant will be invited to meet a dog at a mutually agreeable appointment day, time & place. Usually Petsmart Yorba Linda or our Santa Ana location near South Coast Plaza. All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, full sets of core vaccinations (rabies and 1 set of distemper/parvo for adults, 4 for puppies) and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc.

Ohhh Truman what a little glow-up king. From scruffy street fluff to fresh, sweet teddy bear. Truman is a sweet 2-year-old, 11 lb Poodle mix who has already been through so much in his short life. He was found living out on the streets, terribly matted and overgrown, but thankfully he is now safe and getting the fresh start he deserves. Since coming into rescue, Truman has shown what a gentle and friendly little guy he is. He does well with other dogs and is happy to meet new people, greeting everyone with a soft, curious spirit.Truman’s coat has been clipped short due to the severe matting, but with a little time and love, his adorable soft curls will grow back in beautifully.
