Story

This is Donut! He is an adult male Maltipoo. He is very sweet and protective. He gets along fairly well with everyone, but he is extra cautious of new dogs and little kids. It takes him time to get to know them. He may growl to communicate his fear, but he can be extremely friendly. Daycare and boarders say that he is a pleasure to have. He's got a good strong bark and communicates his feelings frequently. He has lymphoma, but seems to be in remission. He takes prednison every other day. And apoquel every day for alllergies. He also has cataracts so has trouble seeing, but he sees enough so that it doesn't bother him. We have to rehome him due to a new family member with special needs who cannot be near barking dogs. Please help us!

Just fill in the blanks and SEND. We commonly receive multiple applications for a single dog. Nevertheless, only one applicant will be invited to meet a dog at a mutually agreeable appointment day, time & place. Usually Petsmart Yorba Linda or our Santa Ana location near South Coast Plaza. All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, full sets of core vaccinations (rabies and 1 set of distemper/parvo for adults, 4 for puppies) and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc.

Story

I acquired Dexter from a friend. He is a spunky, loving, cuddly 8 year old dog. Dexter has a condition called cerebella hypoplasia . This affects his coordination and walking. He has the ability to use all of his legs however, he is unable to balance for long periods of time which results in a lot of rolling around. In spite of this he has the best spirit out of any dog I have ever been around. He knows his name when you call him, he can fetch (it may take him a little longer than other dogs to bring the ball back to you), and he is potty trained in doors. Dexter doesn't do a lot of walking on his own so he needs help to get to food, water, and to bring outside to go to the bathroom. Although he knows not to potty inside I use a diaper for him just in case for accidents. I know all of this sounds intimidating but he truly is the most loveable dog you will ever have the pleasure of knowing. This is not something I ever wanted to do but I currently do not have a choice.

This sweet 11 year old mini Poodle has been with us since February 2020, spending his time with an amazing foster.  Wiley came from a local shelter with two debilitated back legs. After multiple vet visits to seek out his diagnosis, it was identified that both of Wiley’s knees have severely subluxated patellas. Based on the severity and his age, surgery is not recommended. He will be on Gabapentin and in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.   He cannot go for long walks and cannot climb stairs.     Ever since Wiley came to our rescue, he has been in great spirits and has a very loving and friendly disposition with his human but he does not do well with other dogs. She does well with other dogs and can be a barker so is no suitable for apartments.
