12/25//24- Mama dog was found matted and filthy walking down the freeway in palmdale. She delivered a female and male puppy. They are now 12 weeks old mama is 8 lbs of kisses. She is safe and ready for her forever home. The pups are now vet checked and vaccinated and de wormed. They eat well and use potty pads. COH Hurley is a 10 year old neutered male Maltipoo who was surrendered when his owner moved across the country. He's sweet, enjoys lounging in a warm dog bed, and is great with kids and other dogs. Hurley is ready to find a loving new home! We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. SAMANTHA – Help Needed-Currently Sponsorship SAMANTHA is a Maltipoo, and a little larger than a Maltese. She is good only with cats who are used to dogs as she will want to play. She is fearful of dogs larger than herself or are aggressive even in a playful way, so should never go to a dog park. She is not that good with lively, active children or young teenagers. SAMI is around 8 or 9 years old and we saved her from the pound in pretty run-down condition. Currently, before being adoption-ready, she needs a complete blood count and urinalysis, quite a few tooth extractions with sutures, and a deep cleaning of all her teeth and gums. She also needs surgery for a mass that needs to be removed but is not malignant (biopsy was done). She has had a complete exam which is how the mass was found. SAMANTHA has a cute little underbite and loves to cuddle and play with her toys. SAMI is spayed, and current on her vaccines. SIMON – Help & Sponsorship SIMON is a Maltipoo. A very sad story.... his mom lost her house due to foreclosure and brought him into the city shelter. She was crying and he was crying when she left him there. He was with his human mom since he was a small pup and is very sweet. SIMON is not so good with children or young teenagers. He has a little pink on his nose, loves to be held, and he needs a calm environment. He is very sweet, but very shy and timid. We have discovered that, like so many small pups abandoned at the pounds, Simon has not had any veterinary check-ups—possibly ever—no tooth exams, anal or ear exams, or blood panels or urinalysis done. So he needs lots of veterinary work and diagnostics. He is neutered however and current on his vaccinations. Daisy is a lovely almost two year old Maltipoo who was dumped at a Los Angeles city animal shelter by her owner with horribly matted and damaged fur and encrusted eyes, fearful and scared and snapping to defend herself and barking to appear strong. She is also very underweight underneath all that matted fur. We can only imagine what she must have been through. Currently Daisy is being assessed and treated by the vet and will be examined, get a fecal, urinalysis, blood test, be clipped and groomed and cleaned and her eyes medicated until they heal. She will also be handled and rehabilitated so she won't be afraid anymore and try to bite to defend herself. New photos coming soon. Story

Cutie is certainly the little engine that could! Cutie is paralyzed in her lower half, but that doesn't stop her from getting to where she wants to go or stop her from playing - you should see her on her wheels! Cutie is a happy and excited dog who loves playing with other dogs and being with her person. She can scoot around quickly to get where she wants to go, and is an expert on her wheels. She is currently in physical therapy, and hopefully this can help her move around even better. Cutie is incontinent, so she can't control her bowl movements and wears diapers. She also needs her bladder expressed 3-4x a day, but this is very easy to do. Cutie prefers someone who is home, as she has separation anxiety when left alone or when she can see you but can't get to you. Shes a very loving, cuddly, and sweet girl, who needs someone who understands her special needs.

Adogs was unable to leave him in such a dreadful area full with rubbish and the bodies of his pals who passed away, and rescued him shortly after. * With People: Loves human touch and approaches strangers without hesitation. Is so affectionate that he is playful with familiar people and even rolls over to show his belly, asking to be petted. * With Dogs: Is a very gentle dog who carefully approaches and greets other dogs. Is more interested in bigger friends than him. * Separation Anxiety: Becomes anxious and sits upright, waiting and struggling after about two hours when the guardian leaves. Has no separation anxiety symptoms if any family member stays at home. * Potty Training: Does indoor pottying well and goes outdoors once every two days. * Hygiene: Is unfamiliar with taking baths or trimming nails, but gets through it. Stays calm with the sound of blow dryers. * Walks: Pulls slightly on the leash for the first 10 minutes of the walk, but after that, he walks calmly. Still needs some walking exercises in step with the guardian, but when called by name, he stops, makes eye contacts, and walks nicely. Be careful during walks, as he might get startled and jump or try to run away if something unexpectedly touches him. * Car sickness: Has no experience in going for long car trips. 💌Special Notes💌 * Understands the command such as "sit," "paw," "come," and "go home." * Likes people, but gets startled and slightly growls when someone approaches him first. Meet Bebe!! Bebe was rescued from illegal puppy mill by our Dorothy Rescue. Behaviours from foster home : Bebe is a very loving and affectionate boy who longs to be cherished by his family. While he may be shy at first, given some time, he will bloom like a sunflower! He gets along well with other dogs and is very gentle with them. Although he hasn't had a chance to meet any cat friends yet, his foster mom believes he would also be gentle with them. When meeting strangers, he can be a bit timid initially. He’s not aggressive; he just needs some time to adjust to new family members and environments. Please be patient as he becomes more comfortable with you! :) Although he’s a little apprehensive about bathing, he manages well and enjoys being brushed. He has excellent grooming habits and good walking manners. He is pee-pad trained with an 80% success rate and is making progress! Bebe is not a big barker and is a very calm boy. He may experience a bit of separation anxiety, but he only howls for about 3 to 5 minutes before settling down. While he isn’t a fan of being in a crate, he remains calm when asked to stay there. Though he may be a bit shy at first, Bebe is such a sweet, calm, and affectionate boy who loves to be cuddled by his family. Would you be his loving pawrents who will spoil him with affection? Meet Cotton!! Cotton was rescued from illegal puppy mill by our Dorothy Rescue. Behaviours from foster home : Cotton is a calm and sweet girl who craves love and affection. Currently staying with other dog in her foster home, she gets along well with her, although she may prefer to keep her distance from overly hyper pups. She is comfortable around cats, usually observing them from a distance. Cotton is great with both adults and children, taking her time to approach strangers and greet them quietly. While she tends to be calm, she can also be playful and will sometimes nibble her foster mom's hand when she's excited. Though she’s a bit apprehensive about bathing, she handles it well and enjoys being brushed. Cotton has excellent walking manners and is pee-pad trained. She’s not a big barker, but she might bark happily when excited or to warn other hyper dogs. She doesn’t suffer from separation anxiety and enjoys resting in her kennel, even if she isn’t kennel-trained. Cotton is a gentle, loving girl who truly deserves a forever home.
