She is a precious 6 month old maltipoo mix. Libby is the sweetest little girl who, like her brother, is very people focused and attached at the hip. She is very much a velcro, lap dog. She will follow you everywhere she is working through some separation anxiety. She can coexist well with other dogs and cats with the right support and has been playing more and more with the other dogs as she has settled in. Libby is initially timid and a bit afraid of the world. She would do best in a home with someone around a lot to help her gain confidence and continue with slow exposure and positive experiences with new people and things. This adorable little maltipoo / chihuahua mix came to us a few weeks ago and is as cute as can be. Larry’s previous owners had an accidental litter a few months back and recently surrendered Larry, his sister and his dad to us to find them the homes they deserve. Larry is about 6 months old and LOVES his people. He coexists fine with other dogs and is just starting to get the hang of playing with his foster sister. He hasn’t been socialized much prior to coming to us so a patient home committed to slowly exposing him to the world is a must.He loves being the center of attention and cuddling with his people all the time. Rescued urgently due to appearing unwell and currently undergoing treatment for deworming. * Separation anxiety: Slightly present. Exhibits howling behavior every 3-4 hours, currently undergoing training, and improving! * Housebroken: Excellent in both indoor and outdoor areas! Indoor pad accuracy is 90% (avoids using pads over again). * Energy Level (Lv1~10): Lv. 5 * Initially cautious, barks at people or dog friends but gets along well once introduced. * A bit reserved with new people but shows interest. Becomes an affectionate companion when greeted and praised. * Loves being with perceived caregivers, excelling in training due to high focus on the caregiver 🥰 * No growling when picked up or petted. Eats well when mixed with puppy milk. * No resistance! Patiently waits for favored treats without grabbing them immediately. * Rarely barks with caregivers around but can become sensitive to external noises when anxious. Jenny is 8 years and 10 months old and weighs about 15 pounds. She is a cream and white color, and she is also hypoallergenic! JENNY is very intelligent and inquisitive. SAMANTHA – Help Needed-Currently Sponsorship SAMANTHA is a Maltipoo, and a little larger than a Maltese. She is good only with cats who are used to dogs as she will want to play. She is fearful of dogs larger than herself or are aggressive even in a playful way, so should never go to a dog park. She is not that good with lively, active children or young teenagers. SAMI is around 8 or 9 years old and we saved her from the pound in pretty run-down condition. Currently, before being adoption-ready, she needs a complete blood count and urinalysis, quite a few tooth extractions with sutures, and a deep cleaning of all her teeth and gums. She also needs surgery for a mass that needs to be removed but is not malignant (biopsy was done). She has had a complete exam which is how the mass was found. SAMANTHA has a cute little underbite and loves to cuddle and play with her toys. SAMI is spayed, and current on her vaccines. SIMON – Help & Sponsorship SIMON is a Maltipoo. A very sad story.... his mom lost her house due to foreclosure and brought him into the city shelter. She was crying and he was crying when she left him there. He was with his human mom since he was a small pup and is very sweet. SIMON is not so good with children or young teenagers. He has a little pink on his nose, loves to be held, and he needs a calm environment. He is very sweet, but very shy and timid. We have discovered that, like so many small pups abandoned at the pounds, Simon has not had any veterinary check-ups—possibly ever—no tooth exams, anal or ear exams, or blood panels or urinalysis done. So he needs lots of veterinary work and diagnostics. He is neutered however and current on his vaccinations.
