This is Donut! He is an adult male Maltipoo. He is very sweet and protective. He gets along fairly well with everyone, but he is extra cautious of new dogs and little kids. It takes him time to get to know them. He may growl to communicate his fear, but he can be extremely friendly. Daycare and boarders say that he is a pleasure to have. He's got a good strong bark and communicates his feelings frequently. He has lymphoma, but seems to be in remission. He takes prednison every other day. And apoquel every day for alllergies. He also has cataracts so has trouble seeing, but he sees enough so that it doesn't bother him. We have to rehome him due to a new family member with special needs who cannot be near barking dogs. Please help us!

My pet's name is Einstein. I inherited him from Michael an elderly gentleman I use to take care of, Michael's family have placed him in a facility to care for him and his dementia. Einstein is a very happy dog, he is active and likes to play get the ball, he will return the tennis ball to you. He is good with kids, but he does have separation anxiety. He cries if he is left at home alone. He would be excellent for a lonely, retired person that likes to stay home. Einstein likes to have attention, likes to be cuddled, and go for walks. A good watch dog, very protective.

Story
I acquired Dexter from a friend. He is a spunky, loving, cuddly 8 year old dog. Dexter has a condition called cerebella hypoplasia . This affects his coordination and walking. He has the ability to use all of his legs however, he is unable to balance for long periods of time which results in a lot of rolling around. In spite of this he has the best spirit out of any dog I have ever been around. He knows his name when you call him, he can fetch (it may take him a little longer than other dogs to bring the ball back to you), and he is potty trained in doors. Dexter doesn't do a lot of walking on his own so he needs help to get to food, water, and to bring outside to go to the bathroom. Although he knows not to potty inside I use a diaper for him just in case for accidents. I know all of this sounds intimidating but he truly is the most loveable dog you will ever have the pleasure of knowing. This is not something I ever wanted to do but I currently do not have a choice.
