THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION MEET IGGY…a carefree, happy-go-lucky 2 yr old, 11 lb, white Maltipoo, who wandered into the front yard of a good Samaritan. She tried to find his owners and when she was unsuccessful she contacted us (after taking him to the Lancaster shelter), and we went to get him out. What a sweet, friendly, extremely happy and loving boy! Unfortunately, he was exposed to kennel cough…and because he came down with it, they couldn’t neuter him. He will be fixed before he is available on February 4. Iggy is a youngin’ with all that comes with young dogs! He is very active and playful and would love another dog and children in his life. We do believe that someone loved him, as he is very smart and does listen when you talk to him. He might have been too much puppy for a mature home. However, he wants to be with you and he will do anything to get to you if you keep him away from the family! He will slip through the door, go under the gate or bark to let you know “Hey, I’m over here!” In other words, Iggy would be the best dog he can be with some patience, time and training! He does seem to be potty trained, however, we never guarantee! If you have kids, another dog or two, have an active lifestyle and are looking for a very kissy, cuddle bunny, Iggy is your man! This lovely, thin-haired, 11 lb, 7-8 yr old, Maltipoo came from the Carson Shelter a total mess. Poor baby, we didn’t know if she had a skin infection or a thyroid issue because she had so little hair — but hair grows back! The truth is, it’s clear this little lady was not well cared for, so we are happy she came to us! Gem does have a low thyroid, which is being addressed with inexpensive, daily meds that she will need to be on for life. She also had a UTI, an eye infection and a cataract (sometimes has depth perception issues taking treats) …and is now almost 100% well. Came to us with all this PLUS her kennel cough turned into pneumonia and she spent almost two weeks in the hospital! After all that, we are happy to say that Gem is better and will be coming to adoptions on 4/21! You would agree, this is just too much medical for one little girl, but she is working to get her energy back. She follows her foster everywhere — you could call her a velcro dog! Likes to take naps (as she is getting used to her thyroid medication), loves her walks and is good on the leash. Gem loves toys…and is great at taking them apart! She has started to give kisses and it will be a joy to watch her blossom. She will need a refresher course on potty training, but based on her past, this is not a surprise. We know that Gem has had a rough beginning, and we are waiting for her true personality to reveal itself — and for a wonderful family to adopt Gem and help her back to becoming a perfect family member. A family who will give her a lot of attention, be patient with her, a mature home would be great! Could you love this Gem as much as we do? Our website is updated daily. We are raising funds for all of her diagnostic procedures--Xrays, Ultrasounds, CBC, Urinalysis--for her extensive dental work, and extraction and suturing of six very bad removed teeth, and for her bladder stone removal surgery, JENNY is a Maltipoo, a Maltese/Poodle cross. Jenny is 8 years and 10 months old and weighs about 15 pounds. She is a cream and white color, and she is also hypoallergenic! JENNY is very intelligent and inquisitive. She is housetrained, sweet, gentle, playful, loving, affectionate, a lot of fun to be with, and not destructive. SAMANTHA – Help Needed-Currently Sponsorship SAMANTHA is a Maltipoo, and a little larger than a Maltese. She is good only with cats who are used to dogs as she will want to play. She is fearful of dogs larger than herself or are aggressive even in a playful way, so should never go to a dog park. She is not that good with lively, active children or young teenagers. SAMI is around 8 or 9 years old and we saved her from the pound in pretty run-down condition. Currently, before being adoption-ready, she needs a complete blood count and urinalysis, quite a few tooth extractions with sutures, and a deep cleaning of all her teeth and gums. She also needs surgery for a mass that needs to be removed but is not malignant (biopsy was done). She has had a complete exam which is how the mass was found. SAMANTHA has a cute little underbite and loves to cuddle and play with her toys. SAMI is spayed, and current on her vaccines. SIMON – Help & Sponsorship SIMON is a Maltipoo. A very sad story.... his mom lost her house due to foreclosure and brought him into the city shelter. She was crying and he was crying when she left him there. He was with his human mom since he was a small pup and is very sweet. SIMON is not so good with children or young teenagers. He has a little pink on his nose, loves to be held, and he needs a calm environment. He is very sweet, but very shy and timid. We have discovered that, like so many small pups abandoned at the pounds, Simon has not had any veterinary check-ups—possibly ever—no tooth exams, anal or ear exams, or blood panels or urinalysis done. So he needs lots of veterinary work and diagnostics. He is neutered however and current on his vaccinations. Cutie is certainly the little engine that could! Cutie is paralyzed in her lower half, but that doesn't stop her from getting to where she wants to go or stop her from playing - you should see her on her wheels! Cutie is a happy and excited dog who loves playing with other dogs and being with her person. She can scoot around quickly to get where she wants to go, and is an expert on her wheels. She is currently in physical therapy, and hopefully this can help her move around even better. Cutie is incontinent, so she can't control her bowl movements and wears diapers. She also needs her bladder expressed 3-4x a day, but this is very easy to do. Cutie prefers someone who is home, as she has separation anxiety when left alone or when she can see you but can't get to you. Shes a very loving, cuddly, and sweet girl, who needs someone who understands her special needs.

This very pretty girl is Cici! Cici came to us when she was found abandoned and dumped on the streets of LA. She had a mangled leg, was flea infested, and completely emaciated. Thankfully, the kind person who found her reached out to our rescue to see if we could help and we said yes! Cici went straight to our specialist who at first wasn't sure if her leg could be saved, but thankfully her surgery to repair the leg was a success and after a few months, she was 100 percent healed. Cici is an approximately 3/4 yr old, 16lb, female, Poodle/Bichon mix that is as sweet as can be! Cici needs a patient and loving home as she will come very shy. We definitely want her in a home with another sweet dog that will play with her when she comes out of her shell. She also has a couple of friends here in our rescue that she gets along with perfectly such as Lilo and Tali and could be adopted with one of them. Cici needs an adult only home with a safe and secure backyard that she can run around in and owners that are not gone long hours during the day. Potential adopters must note that she is a dog that needs full grooming every 6 weeks. Cici is such a special and loving little girl that deserves the best home out there! Cici is vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. We only adopt in the Greater Los Angeles areas as an in person meet/greet, home check, trial period are required. Cici's adoption fee is $550
