Tis’ the Season to Adopt a Senior!!!!! Meet Lucas – Our Sweet Senior Looking for a Calm, Kid-Free Forever Home Lucas is a 12 lb poodle–schnauzer mix who was adopted from Coveted Canines 9 years ago and spent almost a decade as a deeply loved family member. As his family grew, it became clear that Lucas was not comfortable around little ones. The noise, crawling, and unpredictability of young children made him anxious, and he would react with barking and growling when he felt overwhelmed or unsure. His family did everything they could to keep him separated and feeling safe, but ultimately realized that Lucas would be happiest in a home without children, where he can enjoy his senior years in peace. Per their adoption contract, Lucas was returned to the same rescue he originally came from, and he is now thriving in his foster home. He lives with several dogs and gets along beautifully with them, often choosing to quietly cuddle up next to the other seniors. For his age, Lucas is in great health and enjoys a calm, predictable routine. He may be experiencing some hearing loss, which can contribute to his sensitivity in busy environments, but in a peaceful home he is relaxed, sweet, and content. Lucas is fully housetrained, has no food restrictions, and is an excellent candidate for condo living. All he wants is a quiet, loving home where he can be the centre of your world. Lucas has been vetted with core vaccines (dh2pp, rabies), neutered, microchipped, dewormed, on tick/heartworm and flea prevention, had a dental last year and his teeth are still ok. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate senior who will be your loyal companion, Lucas just might be your perfect match. If you can give this good senior boy the love and space he needs, please fill out a Canine Adoption Application on our website at: covetedcanines.org/application

Story
Hello… my name is Hari. I’m a 5-year-old Maltese mix girl, about 6kg, and for the first time in my life… I’m learning what it means to live for myself. For many years, my whole world was a tiny metal cage. No sunlight. No soft voice calling my name with love. Only the sound of humans demanding one thing from me over and over—to be a mother, again and again, even though I never got to hold or keep any of my babies. Whenever my puppies were taken from me, I tried to chew through the bars to reach them. My teeth became worn down from trying so hard… trying to find them, trying not to give up. I cried quietly and waited, hoping someone would finally come for me. One day, someone did. I was rescued—saved from that place—and for the very first time, I was given a chance to live a life that belongs to me. A life where I never have to breed again. A life where nothing precious is taken away from me anymore. I’m a very calm, very gentle girl. I hardly ever bark. And when I see people, fear isn’t the first thing I feel—joy is. I walk toward you slowly, shyly, but with a little wagging tail… hoping you’ll notice me. Hoping you’ll love me. But everything outside that cage is new to me. Home life, walks, daily routines, learning where to go potty… I’m five years old, but in many ways, I’m just beginning. I will need someone patient, someone kind, who can teach me what every dog should’ve known from the start—that I’m safe, that I’m wanted, and that love doesn’t disappear. I love people more than anything. I feel most at peace when I’m beside a human. If the house is empty for too long, I might become anxious… not because I’m difficult, but because I spent so many years wondering if anyone would ever stay. I’m learning that family means “forever,” and I hope you can show me what that feels like. I don’t want to be a tool anymore. I want to be a family member. I want to spend the rest of my life giving and receiving love—real love, the kind that stays. I’m searching for someone who will become my very first true family. Someone who will fill the years I have left with warmth, safety, and memories I’ve never been allowed to have. If you choose me… I promise I will give you every bit of my heart. With hope, Hari 🤍🐾

If you pick me up in your arms, I’ll happily settle in and enjoy the comfort of your presence. I’m calm and gentle by nature. I’m not in a rush for me, every little pause is part of the joy.   Life at HomeI’m a wonderfully easy housemate. I rarely bark, I use both indoor pads and outdoor spaces for potty time. During meals, I appreciate having a little space if other dogs are nearby, but with people, I’m gentle and trusting.   My Ideal HomeI dream of a kindhearted family who values calm companionship and gentle affection. A quiet home where I can feel safe and loved would be perfect for me. I don’t ask for much just a warm heart, a cozy spot to rest, and someone to share my days with. I’m ready to start my new chapter and give all the love I have to my forever family.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Manbok’s YouTube Playlist ##2508813##
