Story
Cash is 2.5 years old, he was a puppy from our litter that we sold and came back because the owners could not care for him. Cash is the goofiest sweetheart you could ever meet. He will play with anyone, he has no aggression with any animals (except birds, hates them) or humans. In fact, he tries to play with everything and anyone that will play with him. The issue at our home is we already have his Dad who has same sex aggression and has targeted Cash since he has been back. We are trying to find a forever home for this sweet guy. Cash is a little over 200 lbs, he stands taller than any Mastiff I've met so far. He's big, he's powerful and sometimes doesn't know where he is in his own space. That said, he wants to be a lap dog. He bonds very fast with new people and is usually the life of the party when we have guests over. His favorite things are cuddles with his humans and playing with anyone who will play. Cash is a good boy who deserves a good home.

Story
We adopted Gracie from the local shelter. We had a meet & greet between her & our current dog, and everything went smoothly! The first week, they were playing like besties. The second week, you could tell our original dog was getting annoyed and frustrated with having another dog in the house. Yesterday & today, he attacked Gracie at the slightest annoyance. We’re rehoming her to get her out of the stressful environment of being around our first dog. Gracie is a Mastiff mix just over 2 years old. She’s very playful & super sweet! She’s house trained but does not enjoy the crate. She’s getting better at being on the leash, and we have a theory that she might make a great hunting dog. That sniffer is always working! She’s highly food motivated and does well with all dogs (we’ve introduced her to family members’ dogs). It’s our other dog that is the issue, but we’ve had him for years, since he was a puppy, and cannot rehome him. She’s so kind & silly and deserves a home full of love!

Story
HI, I'M BALOO! I LOVE KIDS AND OTHER DOGS. IF YOU'D LIKE TO ADOPT ME, PLEASE FILL OUT THE APPLICATION AT WWW.BARKVILLEDOGRESCUE.ORG/APPLICATIONS OR SEND AN EMAIL TO INFO@BARKVILLEDOGRESCUE.ORG. Meet handsome and adoptable Baloo! This 1-year-old Mastiff mix is a big, lovable goofball who's still growing into his paws and is expected to reach around 100 pounds full grown. Don't let his size fool you--Baloo is as sweet as they come and he loves being part of the action! Baloo is potty trained, crate trained, and has excellent leash manners, making him a great companion both at home and out on walks. He is also smart and eager to please--he already knows his basic commands and is highly food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. Baloo does great with other dogs and older kids (due to his size), and he absolutely loves to run, play, and wrestle with his canine friends. With his energy level, he'll thrive in a home that can give him plenty of exercise and space to stretch his legs. His ideal home would include a fenced yard where he can safely run and play, along with another friendly dog to keep him company and match his playful spirit. If you're looking for a big-hearted, active companion who's equal parts fun and affection, Baloo might be your perfect match! Baloo is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. If you're interested in adopting this special boy, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.September 14, 2026, 6:45 pm

Story
Meet Angus 💙Angus is a big, lovable, hippo-sized boy weighing in at 99 pounds of pure sweetness. His favorite thing in the world? People. He absolutely adores being loved and will happily soak up every bit of affection you're willing to give.Unlike many dogs, Angus hasn't had the chance to explore much of the world. Because of that, he's very unsocialized and can be nervous when faced with new places, sounds, and experiences. The world feels much bigger to him than it should, and he's hoping to find someone patient who will show him that it's not such a scary place. All he needs is a kind person to guide him, help him build confidence, and reassure him that everything is going to be okay.As you walk past his kennel, Angus will look up at you with the saddest, most soulful eyes, almost as if he's wondering why he's still there. It's impossible not to stop and notice him.Angus didn't end up in the shelter because he did anything wrong. His previous owner loved him dearly but was getting older, and caring for a large dog became more than they could manage. Making the heartbreaking decision to surrender him was an act of love, giving Angus the chance to find a family who can give him the care and adventures he deserves. If you're looking for a loyal best friend, Angus is ready to fill that role. He's the perfect couch potato who would love nothing more than to curl up beside you, keep you company through life's ups and downs, and remind you every day what unconditional love feels like. All he's waiting for is someone to believe in him and show him the wonderful world he's been missing. Please call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip). For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. We are located at:1888 Colbert Danielsville Rd Danielsville, GA 30633 706-795-2868NOTE: Our adoptions are first come first served, simply filling out an application does not mean the animal will be held for you, you must come meet the animal in person in order to be considered for adoption. If you rent you must bring your lease or a letter from your landlord stating you may adopt.
