Story
Barnaby is a happy and loving mastiff mix, born on 4-20-19, weighing 75lbs. This big guy has the sweetest face, and is just a total love bug! Barnaby has a calm demeanor, and enjoys being hugged and loved on by everyone. He is a lower energy boy, and has wonderful leash manners - he walks slow and doesn&#39t pull at all! He is dog friendly, and although he has not been around kids just yet, his foster thinks he would love kids as well. Barnaby was a stray in Rockdale county, and was roaming the area for months before he was finally caught and taken to animal control. Barnaby would love a calm home, with or without another dog, where he will get the love and attention that he deserves! He does have separation anxiety and likes to be close to his people, so someone that works from home or is home often is ideal. Barnaby is being treated for Heartworms and has recently had part of his tail amputated due to &#34happy tail&#34. He is currently available for a foster to adopt situation until his HW treatment is complete and he is medically cleared for adoption. If you are not familiar with Heartworm disease, dogs get it from mosquitoes and it is not contagious. It is easily prevented & highly treatable, but requires extended rest during treatment. BarkVille will cover all of Barnaby&#39s medical expenses while he&#39s being fostered and receiving HW treatment. For more information about this sweet boy, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.May 30, 2023, 1:46 pm

Needs experienced adopter,
Story
Mac is the sweetest boy, no amount of cuddles is too much for him. He loves being around children and is a gentle giant. I also have an older small dog that lives in the home with him. We used to go the dog park to play often. Lately, he has not been socialized so he is very curious when around other dogs. We live in a very small space and I don’t have the time to give him the amount of attention he deserves. I would love for him to go to a home that has a yard to run and play. However, HE IS NOT AN OUTSIDE DOG. He would fit in with a family that has the time, patience for a little training (very treat motived) and that loves to play. I really love him, but I can no longer give him what he needs. I want to make sure he goes to a family or someone who is going to give him a better quality of life.

Story
Tank was rescued from the shelter after losing 30 lbs and giving up hope.  He was barely walking when he got to his foster home.  After starting 3 meals a day of high calorie food and obtaining a good assessment from the veterinarian, he is getting a new lease on life.  Tank is a beautiful mix breed large dog, brindle bull mastiff and hound.  He's about 5 years old.  He is crate trained and now that he feels better, has no accidents in the house.  If a tail wagging is any indication, he loves to be outdoors where his nose is always on the go when he's not playing fetch. In house he hangs out with his people, plays with an occasional squeaky toy and loves lounging in front of the window watching the world go by.  He is a handsome boy ready for a forever home.  At his proper weight he will be at about 90 lbs and will need an experienced owner who is willing to spend time with him on commands and providing direction.  He learned "sit" in his first week of foster. He will do best in an only dog situation and a fenced yard so he can enjoy "outdoor leisure". Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.We do not have a shelter facility and our pets are housed in foster homes, vet clinics and local boarding facilities. Many of our adoptable pets attend adoption events each Saturday at Mall of Georgia Petsmart in Buford, Georgia from 11:30-3:00 pm Please check with us to find out if a particular pet will be available. Dogs going to adoption event are typically posted on our Facebook page the day prior. Details about our adoption procedures can be seen at www.pupandcatco.com. June 1, 2023, 12:06 pm
