Ralph the Derp! Ralph is a huge friendly, enthusiastic, uncoordinated 4-legged energetic goofball! He was rescued from “death row” at a high kill shelter, as a skinny stray with a treatable skin condition. His fur has almost completely grown in & he is now at a healthy weight. This overgrown mastiff/Cane Corso mix pup has no comprehension of his size, leaning into humans for affection or trying to ooze onto laps for cuddles. He is being trained not to jump and not to paw for attention/affection/play because he currently has 85# of mass behind those “congenial” moves. Ralph plays well with dogs of all sizes, but would do best with med-to-larger dogs due to his size & poorly curbed gusto. He hordes toys, taking them all to his chosen dog bed of the day. He likes to carry a special toy “baby” in his mouth when going out in the yard. He does need to be fed in his crate & will guard his empty food bowl from other dogs, unless he is distracted with a toy & led outdoors after meals. He is great on a leash, makes awesome grunty sounds when cuddled, enjoys baths. Ralph will make a great addition to an active family with older children. He is eager to please, food and affection oriented (although a bit stubborn at times), making him an ideal candidate for success with continuation of his training. Please consider adopting the gorgeous big derp into your home. Attributes: In training to avoid jumping/pawing Active family He is neutered, microchipped, had recent cherry eye repair and up to date on all vaccines and preventions. Hi, I’m Luke, and I’m a big, lovable boy tipping the scales at just over 100 lbs! Don’t let my size fool you—I’m a happy, easygoing pup who just wants to play, explore, and cuddle. I’m all about the good things in life: squeaky toys, water play, long walks, and best of all—snuggle time on the couch. I’m a pro at giving hugs (though I’m working on not jumping up too hard to give them—oops!). I get along great with other dogs and kids, but because of my size and enthusiasm, I’d do best with older children who won’t get accidentally knocked over during playtime. I’m crate trained, housebroken, and walk nicely on a leash—unless there’s a squirrel… then it’s game on! I do have a slight prey drive, so a little guidance goes a long way. Weighing in at about 60 pounds, Finn has grown into a handsome boy with a beautiful gray and tan coat, soulful eyes, and an even bigger personality. Despite his star-quality appearance, Finn is more of a laid-back, easygoing guy—think Eeyore vibes, but with engines revved and ready to love. From the moment he wakes up, he’s prepared to shower his people with affection… and trust us, it’s A LOT of love! Finn does well with other dogs and does need a slow, proper introductions to new friends—both two-legged and four-legged. Once he knows you, he loves you deeply. He’s happiest when he has a buddy (human or canine) to share his world with. Affection is Finn’s specialty. Looking for love and a great home. Garnet is a super sweet big lug of a mastiff.  Garnets house burnt down December 27, 2022 and he was so badly burned no one was sure if we could save him.  We felt really bad for him and his owner, so we cared for Garnet while getting him well. It took 6 months of horrible pain stacking medical Care. He is great now but he will be scared for life but looks great.  His owner rebuilt and wanted him back.  Now she has decided it would be better for him for us to find him a loving home.  He is truely a very special guy.   Garnets date of birth September 17, 2020. Garnet is fawn with a black mask.  He is up to date on vaccines, on heartworm prevention, micro chipped with Home Again  he is well enough to be neutered and that happens on 11-28-23. We do not have any pictures of his after he was healed as good as he gets. We lost all  the pictures but we have pictures of his long six months of Recovery.  If you have room in your heart and home for this sweet boy or any of our other wonderful, beautiful babies please email Miracle House Animal Rescue and we will send you our adoption questionnaire: miraclehouserescue@gmail.com. The rescue found me at the pound, hidden away and sick in a building away from the public.... luckily a friend 🧡 of the rescue posted a video of me which caught the hearts of our big dog lovers in the rescue.....AND THE REST IS HISTORY....
