Story
Keisha is a beautiful, quiet girl with a gentle heart and a deep love for the people she trusts. She may be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, you’ll have a loyal and loving friend for life. She thrives in calm environments with patient humans who respect her space and let her blossom at her own pace. Keisha is very smart and has already been working on cues like “wait” (used at doors and before meals), “easy” (for calmly exiting her crate or approaching people), and “crate time” (she’ll head right in and wait for her treat!). Keisha will need consistent and ongoing training and enrichment to help her thrive in her new home. She is food-motivated, but eats fast—so a slow feeder would be a great help. Like many dogs, she prefers to eat in peace and may show some resource guarding around food, so feeding her separately is best. While she’s lived with smaller dogs in the past, Keisha might be happiest as the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love and attention. She has done well with respectful children ages 8 and up, especially when they move slowly and give her time to feel safe. If you have other dogs or children at home a meet and greet is required to make sure they are compatible. Keisha loves snuggles, quiet time with her person, and yes—scrambled eggs are her favorite treat! Walks are great too, but if things get too loud or overwhelming, she might gently guide you back toward home—her safe space. If you would like to meet Keisha, Please stop by SPCA Cincinnati to visit her and all our other adoptable pets.

Story
I acquired Coco from a former coworker when she was about 12 weeks old. A miniature mastiff and german shepherd dog bred and she was in their litter of puppies. She is very sweet and cuddly, also has a protective and curious personality to her. She is goofy, sweet, listens well, and is trained to go to the door and whines when she needs to go out. She’s leash trained although does tend to pull and is very strong. She loves meeting new people and new dogs. She’s never been around cats or children so how she does in those situations is unknown. I have administered her shots at home with OTC 5-in-1 formulas from pet/farm supply stores so she doesn’t have an official vet record, but her shots are up to date for one more year. She is not fixed, and she does shed but it is manageable.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Zay. She’s a 2 year old mastiff mix with the squishiest face ever (she’s also the aster of RBF). Zay came to us completely shut down, defeated, in a constant state of fear. After lots of confidence training, she has come out of her shell and absolutely loves to play with dogs, totally ignores cats and even enjoys taking treats and pets from humans. Zay is potty trained, crate trained and has been through several weeks of obedience training in addition to confidence building. She’ll come with training for her new family and the tools that have helped her “dog”. Zay REQUIRES at least one other dog living in home with her; we are not making exceptions as the trainer has advised us this is a necessity for her.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   March 27, 2025, 7:28 pm

Story
Hello interested Adopter. My name is Lilith, but my foster fam always calls me "Momma". You see back in October '24 a foster said "Yes" to not only me...but my week old babies as well! MVPC saved our lives. I had wonky legs at intake, but everyone hoped and thought that crate rest with my babies would help. Well, come to find out, I'm just wonky. I don't remember how old I am, but I did have these babies later in life. After visiting the vet it was determined that I have hip dysplasia in the back and a wonky elbow in the front. This combination makes amputation of my front leg impossible. I will always need to remain on joint supplements. MVPC sees that I am a happy girl who has lots of love to give. I seem to be pain free for now, so I am now up for adoption. I would do best with a family who is used to senior dog issues. I am currently fostered in a home with male and female dogs of all shapes, sizes and energy levels. After years of neglect and countless litters of puppies, I'm looking for a sweet retirement home. I can't wait to meet you! ADOPTION FEE: $300 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experience BIRTHDAY: est. 10/17/2015 FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes DOGS IN HOME: Required CATS: Unknown CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over I AM READY TO GO HOME - If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $300 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me! ***WE DO NOT HOLD DOGS. IF YOU ARE GOING ON VACATION OR ARE NOT YET READY TO PROCEED PLEASE APPLY WHEN YOU ARE.*** INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25. DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response. PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!

Story
**WE ARE SUPER MUTTS - PLEASE SEE DNA RESULTS PRIOR TO APPLYING** Hi, my name is Perdita and I am one of Lilith's little demons. Luckily MVPC swooped in and rescued us from the shelter before we were even a week old! Let me tell you, that is no place for puppies. My litter may be a mix of a lot of different breeds (see our DNA in the pics) but I think that's what makes us the best! I am one of the smaller pups but I am bold and a mover & a shaker. I am super spunky, brave and high energy. I also love to play with my siblings, toys and to be with my people - I'm a cuddler. I am super cute and pretty darn smart! Please understand that while I am doing well on potty and crate training, I will have accidents and may whine some as I adjust to my new schedule and family.
