Story
Chuck Norris (knows Groot) is a 5 year old mastiff mix weighing about 75 pounds. That’s 75 pounds of pure LOVE.  He’s good with kids. He was returned to SAAP for not liking the boyfriend's dog, which like humans, dogs don’t have to like every single dog.  We’re recommending slow intros or he may just have to be your one and only! Nothing wrong with that. We aren’t sure how he is with cats. He, like me if i were a dog, doesn’t like being crated but he does great free roaming. Story
Meet Clyde! Clyde is a 4-year-old, 75lb mastiff mix who loves playing fetch and laying outside in the sun with his family. His superpowers include making you laugh with his goofy personality, learning and listening well to commands, not knowing a stranger and keeping you company all day if you'll let him! He is crate trained, does not get on furniture, and is pretty content to lay around the house between walks and playing fetch outside. He was born during the pandemic so is anxious around other dogs, but once he gets comfortable is very playful. He is better with large dogs that can match his size and energy. He is still unsure around cats and sometimes doesn't realize his size or his strength, but he is loyal, loving and just wants to please you! Some of his favorite things are chuck it balls, any treat.... but jerkies are the best and running around the yard. If you're looking for a companion for your run, with all the puppy love and energy but house-trained, obedient and also down to just chill he might be your perfect match! Clyde is currently being fostered in the Northern, KY area. His adoption fee is $275.00 To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Luna is a purebred girl who is an absolute delight but is less good with children than we need her to be. We had an adopted baby who lived with us and Luna was her “baby.” When the baby left the house, Luna has not been the same ever since and she’s just less good with children than she was. Good with other dogs and adults after proper introduction. She’s a Boerboel and definitely a protective breed. Food motivated and has had basic obedience training, even if she wants to be a brat about having to follow commands. She wants nothing more than to love her humans and be close to them all the time. She’s just not a good fit in our home right now and we want her to have a loving & wonderful home. UTD on shots.

Story
Hi! I'm Ozzy! I am playful and love tug-of-war! Being sprayed with a water house is my favorite thing! (seriously) I am a smart boy! I know to sit and I am Housebroken. A home with older children that respect my boundaries would be best for me. Cats are a NO! for me! I have had good times and bad times with other dogs. I am scared of little dogs. I don't like dogs near me at all while I eat high value treats! I prefer to eat them alone. I also don't do good around live stock. I'm a good a boy! I just need the right family to take me home!

This big hunk of mastiff love is ready for his furever home! Benelli is just over a year old and FULLof love and snuggles! This guy is big at 68lbs but very very low energy. He's a shy guy but once he warms up he's the sweetest most loving dude in the world! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 He is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. Story
George is a 173 pound 4.5 year old English Mastiff who is a very sweet boy with his people. He is happiest on a couch or bed watching tv or just chilling, and loves laying/sitting where he can see outside. He likes women and kids, but is a little slower to warm up to men. His favorite chew toy is a deer antler and he does great in the house if you leave him out. He is not destructive other than the occasional stuffed animal. George takes prozac (licking behavior) and apoquel (itching) daily. He takes his meds like a champ in a pill pocket or with peanut butter. He would do best in a home with big dog experience as an only dog. A fenced yard would be ideal, although he is not overly active, but has some small prey drive. He attended  a 3 week training program and is pretty good on a leash.  All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.
