Meet Santi! 3 yrs | 90 Ib Mastiff mix Saved from a NY shelter with high euthanasia rates, Santi was given a second chance-and now he's waiting for his person. He is cautious with new people and needs slow, respectful introductions. He'd adjust fastest with a single dedicated adopter, although he does learn to love multiple adults. An adult-only household would be best. He loves playful dogs, tasty snacks, and long naps on the couch. He is very affectionate and thinks he's a 5 lb lap dog, LOL! He enjoys going for walks and is always excited to go for a ride in the car. He doesn't need a busy life, just love, patience, structure, and someone willing to earn his trust. He spent over a month at Keep Them Wagging Training Facility in Norwalk, CT, where he learned valuable skills, and continued work with them would help facilitate a strong bond between Santi and his new family. He will crate himself to take naps throughout the day and also will tuck himself to bed when the sun goes down and sleeps through the night.
