Story
Kingston is our distinguished and slightly older gentleman. He came to us as a stray, so we do not know his background. We learned that he loves to run and play in the yard. He is sweet but strong and will need someone that is able to handle his strength on walks, until he learns to control his energy. He has done well with the dogs here that he has been near but meet and greets with any dogs in the home is a must. He did well with our house cat. Kingston is ready to find his forever family.

Story
Hello interested Adopter. My name is Lilith, but my foster fam always calls me "Momma". You see back in October '24 a foster said "Yes" to not only me...but my week old babies as well! MVPC saved our lives. I had wonky legs at intake, but everyone hoped and thought that crate rest with my babies would help. Well, come to find out, I'm just wonky. I don't remember how old I am, but I did have these babies later in life. After visiting the vet it was determined that I have hip dysplasia in the back and a wonky elbow in the front. This combination makes amputation of my front leg impossible. I will always need to remain on joint supplements. MVPC sees that I am a happy girl who has lots of love to give. I seem to be pain free for now, so I am now up for adoption. I would do best with a family who is used to senior dog issues. I am currently fostered in a home with male and female dogs of all shapes, sizes and energy levels. After years of neglect and countless litters of puppies, I'm looking for a sweet retirement home. I can't wait to meet you! ADOPTION FEE: $300 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experience BIRTHDAY: est. 10/17/2015 FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes DOGS IN HOME: Required CATS: Unknown CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over I AM READY TO GO HOME - If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $300 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me! ***WE DO NOT HOLD DOGS. IF YOU ARE GOING ON VACATION OR ARE NOT YET READY TO PROCEED PLEASE APPLY WHEN YOU ARE.*** INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25. DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response. PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding! **WE ARE SUPER MUTTS - PLEASE SEE DNA RESULTS PRIOR TO APPLYING** Hi, my name is Perdita and I am the last one of Lilith's little demons. My litter may be a mix of a lot of different breeds (see our DNA in the pics) but I think that's what makes us the best! I am bold and a mover & a shaker. I am super spunky, brave and high energy. I also love to play with my siblings and am good with any size - big or small! I also love toys and to be with my people - I'm a cuddler. I am super cute and pretty darn smart! I really like to be the first to bark out "Hello" and greet you when you get home too! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application Zoey (fka Ruckus) came back to MTM after being adopted several years ago and her adopter recently passed away.    She is doing great in her foster home living with a toddler, 2 young kids and dogs of all sizes.   Zoey did take a bit to adjust. She is shy at first meeting, but once she settles in, she seeks attention and thrives off of routine. So if interested in meeting her, please understand, she does not show well, but given some time and patience, she will come around and show great affection.    She has begun to engage the other dogs in play and loves to spend time outside in the yard. She does well being left alone with the other dogs, with no concern of messes or destructive behavior.     She does pull on the leash and will need some help with that, but that too needs to be made part of her routine. Zoey is a low to medium energy dog and is content to just hang out. She will pick a favorite bed and that becomes her spot.    Zoey does well riding in the car, was well behaved at the vets office and doesn't mind a nail trim as long as shes being scratched at the same time.   She is potty trained and will go to the door or even come wake you if she needs to go out.    Zoey has been fully updated on vaccines and received a dental. She is ready for a new family! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application HEADLINER: Izzabella aka Izzy. HISTORY: One owner who did not provide basic medical care so Izzy lived many year with out of control skin issues, ear infections, UTI’s, etc. PERSONALITY: Izzy is a sweet, friendly girl that loves meeting new people and welcoming them into the house. She loves attention and affection and will lean in hard for pets and ear scratches. She tends to spend her days snoozing away but when she gets the zoomies she takes them seriously and this girl can move despite her age.  She lives peacefully with a 60lb male mixed breed but is reactive when seeing dogs out on a walk. Izzy is a bit fearful of fireworks and thunderstorms and will sometimes get spooked by loud noises. Izzy likes things to happen on her own personal timeline and can be stubborn when they don’t. She will test limits by whining and carrying on (dancing around, stomping her feet, wagging her tail furiously while staring at you) to try to get her way. She’s learning that those things don’t work in our house but it’s hard not to laugh at her antics. She’ll do it to the other dog in the house too when he’s laying in a bed that she wants. She usually gets her way with the dog.  FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Napping, soaking up love and attention, laying in the sun MEDICAL ISSUES: With vet care and a quality diet Izzy’s skin issues and ear infections have cleared up and she is no longer a big itchy mess. She did have a mammary tumor removed while being spayed. She is not currently on any medications. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME: Izzy enjoys hanging out with her people, so a family that spends a lot of time around the house/yard/garden would be great for her. Once integrated with another dog she is very polite and respectful but she definitely needs slow introductions to new dogs.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
