Her mom is Minnie and she came into rescue very pregnant ,malnourished , very matted, but extremely sweet and let us help her. Minnie delivered 5 babies , all of which are bundles of joy and it has been a pleasure raising them , these last 10 weeks. Everyone is up to date on vaccines and has their spay/neuter appointment coming up . They know how to use a dog door , they have been trained with reusable potty pads and love to play! They do great with the other foster dogs and they are working on crate training as well. They are loving the water and the play pools , which is awesome ! Miss Eleanor has the sweetest little heart , she seeks out cuddles and attention of affection. She can be fierce when its play time ! She isn't shy when it comes to chasing a ball or pulling her brothers tail ! She loves her little greenie chews and enjoys going outside to explore. We are still working on leash training but we started working on grooming skills at 2 weeks old. Poodles need to feel comfortable and confident with baths and hair cuts , as they will have them often in their life , so we have been working on those skills, to set them up for success! Story
Minnie came to us as a pregnant stray ,she was very malnourished and matted. Minnie was SUPER shy when she started out with her foster mom in March . Over time she really developed a bond , she learned to trust quite quickly , due to her delivering her puppies within 2 weeks of intake. She is a FANTASTIC mom but she is a even better dog ! Minnie has went above and beyond her duties of being a mom dog and she REALLY deserves the chance to be the center of attention ! She is learning what play is , learning how to walk on a leash , she is still nervous with car rides but we are working on that . She can be shy at first but once she knows she is safe , she is devoted to you. She did well with her grooming , especially considering how matted her hair was , she still continues to do well with bath , nails and hair cut. She is crate trained, she knows how to use a dog door . a secured back yard is a must as she does know how to escape and run off. She does good with other dogs in the home but overly hyper dogs are not her preference , she enjoys her rest and relaxation. Her puppies are listed for adoption here on Adopt a pet as well . She has mastered the dog door and fly's in and out of that thing . Its funny to see a little cotton ball move so fast ! She does have the longer legs , but a lean build . My Name is LADY I was surrendered by a family who no longer wanted to care for me. I was never groomed or bathed for the first year of my life , I gave birth to a liter of puppies and then my family stuck me in a kennel for a week, then waited for the rescue to pick me up. I came into rescue with my son MAX who is also up for adoption. My foster mom has worked with me the last 9 months building trust with grooming , baths , humans , other animals and the traveling. I am kennel trained ,I know how to use a dog door , I enjoy going for walks but I MUST be on a leash , otherwise I am a runner. I enjoy car rides and adventures . I like to get out of the house, I chase stray cats so I probably won't do well in a home with cats. I don't do well with small children who force themselves on me . I prefer to slowly build trust and take time to work on bonding with my new family. I love being a lap dog and on the couch next to you .
