Story
Hi everyone, I’m Bamboo Plant! I’m a 13-year-old neutered Poodle-ish  something mix. I’m free of parasites, fully vaccinated and microchipped. I wasn’t taken care of very well before I came to Umbrella of Hope. All my teeth had to be extracted but I’m feeling so much better now. My foster mom says I’m a lovable Poo  with a big heart, a sweet soul, and just a tiny jealous streak (especially when other dogs try to steal my spotlight ).  Fun facts about me:    I’m great on a leash — walkies are my thing!  I’m the best co-pilot for car rides. Windows down = ears flying.  Bedtime? I’m a pro snuggler. Tuck me in and I’ll snooze like a champ.  Treats? Say the word and I’m instantly motivated.     I’m well-mannered, mostly potty trained, and I’ve spent my life perfecting the role of “good boy.” I love cuddles, tasty snacks, and soaking up all the attention (sorry, other dogs). I do have KCS otherwise known as Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca, which means dry eye. This is a lifetime issue and I’ll need drops the rest of my life.  My foster mom applies drops to both eyes twice a day. I’m a good boy as long as the treats keep coming after I sit for them. I also have a heart murmur but no medicine needed at this time. I will have to see the vet regularly to monitor this.  Grooming is getting better on my part. I have to admit I wasn’t cooperating the first time. The noises really scared me. If you adopt me I will need regular grooming appointments every 6-8 weeks to stay as handsome as I am. Oh and more treats!!!  Adopt me and I promise you that you will enjoy more daily adventures, cozy naps, and short walks. All I want in return is plenty of love, a cozy bed and plenty of treats.      GENERAL INFO:   Housebroken?: Yes Crate Trained?: Yes Leash Trained?: Yes Rides Well in Car?: Yes Non-Shedding?: Yes Good with cats?: Unknown but does not have teeth... so Good with dogs?: Yes Qualifies for Seniors for Seniors?: yes Umbrella of Hope does not have any strict rules on ages of children because all children are different, but our best approximation is that this animal would do best with children over the age of 5 Umbrella of Hope is an all-volunteer, donation-run, non-profit animal rescue based out of Pittsburg, CA that rescues animals from local shelters, places them in private foster homes, provides them with needed medical care and then finds them new homes.  Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites and given any additional treatments (dental work, bloodwork etc) as recommended by our vet.  Adoptions to veterans of the US Armed Services are ALWAYS free to thank you for your service.   We thank Well Pet Vet Clinic for providing most of our veterinary services and give a special thanks to volunteer photographers Tanya, Barbara, Kristy, Christine, Teressa and Natalie.  We are on all social media at @umbrellaofhope and we invite you to follow us and share which helps more people see and adopt our pets.  To help our ALL VOLUNTEER team rescue more senior, special needs, medically needy and hospice animals (and a few 'typical' ones along the way, please consider making a tax-deductible (TAX ID 45-4103375) donation online at www.paypal.me/UOH or Venmo @umbrellaof-hoperescue or Zelle beourpet@gmail.com.   You can also buy tees, tanks. sweatshirts, hats and bandannas where all proceeds benefit our animals https://ruff-life-rescue-wear.myshopify.com/collections/umbrella-of-hope We also have an Etsy store where the merchandise is made by volunteers and supporters, changes regularly and 100% of the proceeds benefit our medical fund https://www.etsy.com/shop/Umbrellaofhope Amazon Wish List tinyurl.com/pineapplewish  September 27, 2025, 9:39 pm

Meet the Perfect Pawsome Pair or Solo! Are you ready to welcome a bundle of joy into your life? Say hello to our lovable litter of adorable pups—our very own Frenchie Doodles or Floodles! Whichever name you choose, one thing’s for sure: they are pure love wrapped in fur. Born on July 29, 2025, these sweethearts are playful, affectionate, and full of life. Their loving Poodle mom was not spayed, which means these little miracles came into the world unexpected. Dad was a French Bull dog. Remember, spaying and neutering your pets helps control the pet population—please consider it for your furry friends! Meet Abby—our tiniest girl at just 4.4 pounds! She’s a playful, spirited pup who loves to wrestle, play, and cuddle with her littermates. She’s already off to a great start with potty training and is eager to learn leash training once she’s fully vaccinated. Abby has been microchipped, flea-treated, dewormed, and has received her first two puppy vaccinations—she just needs two more to be all set for her forever family. Abby and her siblings—Archie, Annie, and Alanna—are searching for homes where they can grow, play, and be loved unconditionally. They adore kids, enjoy car rides, and are sure to bring endless joy and pitter-patter of puppy paws into your life. Are you ready to open your heart and home to these delightful pups? Abby is waiting to bring happiness and love into your world. Adopt, adore, and cherish these little bundles of joy! Meet Archie — A Little Heart Full of Love. Imagine a tiny bundle of joy, full of playful spirit and endless love. That’s Archie — the brave little boy in a litter born from a sweet surprise. His mother, a gentle Poodle, wasn’t spayed, and she spent some time with a charming French Bulldog neighbor — and now, Archie and his siblings are here, ready to fill your life with happiness. Born 07/29/25 just a few months old, Archie already has a big personality packed into a small frame. Weighing 7 pounds, he’s the gentle rumbler of the group, loving to wrestle, cuddle, and explore everything around him. His bright eyes sparkle with curiosity, and his little heart is open to finding his forever family. Archie is a puppy in every sense — full of wonder, excitement, and the promise of a lifetime of love. He’ll need your patience as he learns the ropes of potty training and leash walking, but with your guidance, he will blossom into a loyal, loving companion. He’s scheduled to be neutered, been microchipped, flea-treated, dewormed, and has started his vaccinations — ready to start the next chapter of his life with someone special. Could you be the one to give Archie the home he dreams of? A place where he can grow, love, and be loved in return? Archie is more than a puppy — he’s a little heart waiting to be part of yours.
