Brad is a real cutie! This 7 year old Bichon Frise is really living it up in his Foster home, learning how to enjoy every aspect of being a beloved dog! At only 17 pounds, Brad adorably wants to be a big dog. He loves to watch them, play with them, and run with them. He loves small dogs, too, though! He's an equal opportunity dog buddy :) Brad has quickly learned that if he comes by name on command, he will get praise, cuddles and pets. Smart guy! He's working on leash training, potty training, and other basic commands, and we are happy to report that he's making great strides! If you ask him what his ideal Saturday looks like, we are pretty sure he will tell you it includes lounging on the couch watching one of his favorite shows with the occasional check in on his stuffies, and making sure to be in the mix when his foster humans and canine siblings make a move. His ideal forever family will be patient, loving, and willing to cuddle with him every step of the way while he continues to learn the ropes! Let us know if you'd like to meet Brad! Brad's adoption fee is $500

Meet Paprika- the best cuddle buddy you’ll find! Despite his rough start after arriving here at the shelter, Paprika loves nothing more than being by his people- especially the one person who he chooses to love most! Paprika bonds very strongly with one person, and will shower them with constant love and affection- and will ask for endless belly rubs in return, of course! Even though he has one eye, he refuses to let that slow him down, and Paprika is always ready to follow his person wherever they go, even if that means braving the cold outdoors! Despite not being a fan of being left alone, Paprika is working hard on his crate training in his foster home, and will settle down in a cozy crate with a nice bed for him. Paprika is also a master of the cue “sit”, and will happily sit down and look at you with the most adorable face if it means getting yummy snacks! With treats being a big motivator, Paprika is eager to learn more cues to help him be the best buddy he can be for you. If you’re looking for a perfect sized lap dog to spend hours at home with you soaking up your attention, Paprika sounds like the perfect match for you! Paprika is an All-Star dog! His adoption comes with some extra benefits at time of adoption. Their adoption appointment includes a discussion with our Training Team, and they will go home with their very own no-pull-harness and a few enrichment goodies to help get them off to a good start! Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Charlie, a 17-pound Bichon Frise with a heart full of love and an incredible story of resilience. Born around July 8, 2021, Charlie was tragically thrown over the fence onto our property late one freezing night, matted and terrified. Thankfully, a staff member of ours spotted him and ensured his safety.  Despite his rough start, Charlie has blossomed into an affectionate and gentle companion. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs until feeding time.  He has to be fed separately.  This is  very common for dogs that are left to fend for themselves.  They want to make sure they don't go hungry.  Charlie isn't a fan of cats, unless they come with crackers and a little bit of picante sauce.  So his idea home will not have a cat.  Charlie loves people.  Charlie’s sweet nature and resilience are sure to win your heart. Charlie’s adoption fee is $400, which includes his neuter, heartworm-negative test, up-to-date vaccines, and prevention (ProHeart and Bravecto). He’s currently located in Texas but is eligible for transport to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), or anywhere along the East Coast. Please note there is an additional transport fee of $225, and we are unable to transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations.
