Adoption Donation: $400 Jaxon is an adorable scruffy-faced boy with the kind of face you can’t help but smile at—especially those eyebrows that are impossible not to love! This sweet pup has a gentle personality and is as sweet as can be. Jaxon also likes other dogs, making him a great companion for a home with a canine friend. With his charming looks and loving nature, Jaxon is ready to find a family who will adore him just as much as he’ll adore them. All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Meet Petey: The World's Cutest Little Snowball (Featuring One Permanently Adorable Tongue)Some dogs spend their golden years slowing down.Petey spent his getting a glow up.When this tiny 10 pound gentleman arrived at an Illinois humane society, he was severely matted, neglected, and in desperate need of someone to care. Thankfully, those days are firmly in his rearview mirror. Today, Petey is discovering that life is actually supposed to be soft beds, kind hands, sunny grass, and people who think he's absolutely perfect.(Which, for the record... he is.)The first thing you'll notice is his face. More specifically, his tiny little pink tongue that peeks out between his bottom teeth almost all the time.
