Apricot Ringo is cute as a button and just wants to go to a home with someone who will cherish him. He has that little kid innocence and really wants to engage but the world can be scary sometimes. And like little kids he sometimes messes up but that’s because he’s still learning. He gets along with other dogs, especially small ones. He’s starting to open up and find out how to play with others. He does sleep in his crate and will walk on a leash. There’s so much more he can learn in the right home. With a little patience he will make the most adorable, cuddly, and devoted companion. He will also need an adopter devoted to his health needs as they change over time. Ringo has recently had a leg amputation due to a severely luxating patella. She’ll need a patient, understanding adopter who can help support her mobility and overall well-being but she's doing great in recovery in her foster home so far. Ringo’s cheerful personality shines through, and she’s ready to share her love and joy with a family who can provide the care she deserves. This 7-year-old mini poodle mix, transferred from Chicago Animal Control as a stray, has faced more than his share of challenges: blind and with dry eye disease in one eye (managed with lifelong medication), he’s still the epitome of trust, sweetness, and resilience. Recently, Minty had an incredible grooming glow-up, and he’s looking better — and feeling better — than ever. Despite his visual limitations, he navigates the world with confidence and curiosity, always eager to meet new friends and share gentle snuggles. Minty is searching for a patient, loving home that will appreciate his calm, trusting nature, keep up with his medical needs, and reward him with endless cuddles and quiet companionship. Dog Day Out Review: "Minty is truly as sweet as can be. He was great in the car, and just stayed in his little car seat bed and didn’t make a peep. He got a bath prior and loved to roll around in the blanket that I brought for him. It was so cute! He loves to be held! He is extremely calm, and fell asleep a few times in the sun during our time together. Whether it was in my lap, in the grass or in his bed, I don’t think he really cared where he was, he just loved to relax in the sun! Super easy going. Despite his vision impairment he loved to be outside. He was good on leash too, didn’t pull and was easy to redirect when he was going in circles :) Such a gentle soul!" Sleepover review: "Has not made a single peep (no barking or crying), he is super quiet! Slept the entire night in his gated area He is obsessed with blankets. All he wants to do is snuggle up and bury himself into a ton of blankets. The key to Minty’s heart = blankets! He doesn’t really go on “walks” moreso just enrichment sniffing outside. He will bump into things so just be cautious on that of course! Fully potty trained !!!! Despite him being blind, he’s really easy going :) and also easy to take care of He’s special in his own way. He’s kind of more like a cat lol but in the best way possible."

Lennon Is An Awesome Puppy Saved From The Puppy Mill. This handsome boy was destined for a sad life as a stud in a mill. Thankfully the breeder was discarding him and we got him and his siblings safely out and into our rescue. Despite his rough start, Ringo is a touch shy but warms up pretty quickly. He will be an awesome member to any committed forever family. He will blossom with love and will do well in a home with another friendly respectful dog companion. Like all puppies he will need structure and a patient loving home. We recommend training for all puppies not only to give the puppy learning skill. But you and your puppy/dog will create a stronger bond just for having gone to training. Lennon is fully vetted, He has been neutered, received age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, Subsequent vaccines are at the expense of his adopter, His adoption donation is $1200.00. He is on the hunt for his own completely committed family, Little Dogs can live to be 20+ years old so he wants to be sure his family is all in 100% for better or for worse! Poppy is a charming and gentle dog .she is estimated to be about 3 years old and about 14lbs. She was a local stray found on the streets of Chicago. She’s used to a leash and enjoys a walk or playing in a secure yard. Poppy will escape for an adventurer if she has a chance, she needs a savvy owner and secure yard. Poppy has potty skills but like all dogs, she will need a restart and routine to follow in a new environment . Poppy likes being near her people. She’s happy to play with other dogs but can be dominant over others that are more submissive. As a result, we want her to be the only dog in the household, no other dogs, cats or other animals. Like all dogs, she will need structure and a patient, loving home. We recommend training for all dogs —not only to give Poppy important learning skills, but because you and your dog will create a stronger bond just by going through the training together. Poppy is fully vetted. She has been spayed, received age-appropriate vaccines, and is microchipped. Subsequent vaccines will be at the expense of her adopter. Her adoption donation is $600..00. She is on the hunt for her own completely committed family. Little dogs can live to be 20+ years old, so Poppy wants to be sure her family is all in for better or for worse! IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 9 MONTHS): You must have a flexible work schedule or someone home all day. Puppies need to be let out to potty often. They need socialization, bonding, and training (housetraining and behavioral training).
