Since he is tiny we would prefer a home with no small children, teenagers and up would be ok. He loves attention and will keep jumping in your lap to get petted. Get to know Pongo, a little dog with a big heart! Pongo is a playful, curious 7-pound pup full of personality and charm. He is mostly house trained and crate trained, but he’s still learning how to ask to go outside—so he’ll need a patient family to help him finish mastering his potty skills. He’s also working on walking politely on a leash and currently pulls, but with time and consistency he’ll get the hang of it. Pongo starts off a little shy, but he warms up quickly and becomes incredibly affectionate. He attaches easily to his people and loves being near them—he’ll happily follow you from room to room just to be part of the action. He’s very sweet, not aggressive, and loves treats, squeaky toys, crinkle toys, and going for walks. He’s still a young dog learning his basics, including responding to his name and general commands. He’s also a bit of a collector—he may grab shoes or socks, but he doesn’t chew them; he simply likes to keep them with his toys, especially if you’ve left the room for a while. Pongo would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time, and where he has space to run, play, and enjoy long daily walks. He isn’t a fan of being left alone and is still getting used to wearing a harness. Delaney is the more reserved, but once she feels comfortable you’ll have a lap buddy to keep you warm on these cold, winter days! If your lap isn’t available though, she’s perfectly content to sleep in her bed near wherever you are. Spry beyond her years, she leaps onto the couch like an Olympian! Im learning so much like simple commands; walking with a leash, potty training (I don't like making a mess in my panties or in my crate) and walking up and down stairs. I have one blue and one brown eye. Isn’t that cool? I’m a sweet and affectionate girl who wants to love you and be by your side. I was rescued from a puppy mill, so I’m still learning to trust people. Since I spent most of my life locked in a cage, I really don’t want to be in a crate. I’m fine in the crate while traveling in a car, but I really want to be free to roam the house, so I can follow you around. I’m working hard on my potty training, and I have very few accidents, as long as someone takes me outside regularly. I’m okay with wearing a collar and harness, and going for walks, but I would love to be able to run around a fenced-in yard. At night, I’m happy to sleep on a dog bed next to my foster mom’s bed. I get along with other dogs, but I would be more than glad to be your only friend! Older kids in the house are okay, as long as they understand that they need to go slow around me. My ideal home would be with someone who’s patient and home for most of the day and can give me lots of attention and affection.
